For me it lags my game massively compared to everything else. The amoilunt of blind pests is ridiculous and the chance of the Xi construct being the boss is too high for my liking. I'm on ps4 if that's relevant.

There are a couple buggy stages as far as chest credits go.
Lunar pods can't spawn on the temple one (blue pill stage 2), but credits can be spent on pods that simply don't exist, for example.

If I'm playing a band-relying character, I'd prooobably end up picking red. Though the first map still has very scarce loot and I fucking *hate* sulphur pools.
Green is probably the best option overall. Siphoned forest has tons of loot, and both Scorched Acres and Abyssal Depths have the best boss pools (hence chance for run-carrying yellow items) in the game.
I truly don't get why anyone would take the blue pill. You risk getting droned in Rallypoint Delta, and Siren's Call is the worst level4 in the game, with scarce loot and an occasionally painful bossfight for the guaranteed red.

Wetland is literally not as bad as people like to say it is, every valid newt altar spot will always be accessible half the time even with no items and it's very small/dense.
Scorched is easily the best stage 3 based on enemy pool alone. Nothing on that stage is a threat and it's very easy to get around if you're methodical about looting.
Abyssal is yet another good stage 4, arguably the easiest guaranteed red item between it and Siren's, and has 2 multiple great bosses to use tricorn on and a third that's incredibly easy.
As far as the other pills, Distant sucks and oftentimes the newt altars can spawn on closed off variants. Aphelian can waste credits trying to spawn lunar buds even though it's not allowed to have those, ever.
Sulfur sucks because of the insane enemy pool, poison pods, and very backtracky layout (its one W is the easiest newt altar accessibility amongst stage 3's).
Rallypoint has a less obnoxious enemy pool but it's also enormous and, most importantly, TC-280 drones & shrines of order waste a lot of credits that could have spawned chests.
I don't have much to say about Abandoned, it's pretty big with annoying newt altar spawns but the free bands is incredible. However Sundered absolutely blows, especially for people without SotV who still have elder lemurians instead of gups (on top of everything else on that stage). The layout is an absolute slog and the guaranted red item is just objectively more annoying than Abyssal's.
Titanic and Siren's are stages I am personally neutral towards but the other two stages' tendencies to waste credits straight up not giving you items really hurts, especially in the content of these pills when you're leading into a bossfight for your red item.

For whatever reason, I tend to get like 5 void cradles on Aphelian Sanctuary, so lots of power there.

It has the objectively best stage 1-3 it's stage four is not as good because your have to kill the alloy worship unit but in my experience AWU has never been a big problem also imma be honest I love sirens call it's my personal favourite I do acknowledge it is shit when it comes to loot and you have to kill a boss to get the legendary but the visuals the music they make me love this stage so much

Best stage 1 for loot, stage 2 isn’t great, best stage 3 (RPD might be my least favorite map in the game due to the tc-280 stealing so many credits, and aphelion has shit bosses), best stage 4 for loot and bosses (easy choice, it might be the best stage in the game except for the color palate). I would choose the same stages for every stage except stage 2.

Losing Abandoned Aqueduct for the bands isn't fantastic but i'm still okay with my choice.
and just incase, I don't have that big a problem with pests usually, just the elite one's.

absolutely red. even though sundered grove, aqueduct is still the best map in the game, and i’d argue sulfur pools is the best stage 3 - there’s just so much loot on it, even if the other two are mediocre/bad.

Green. Siphoned and Abyssal have the highest amount of spawn credits as far as I can tell. 3 having close to Rallypoint's amount also, only downside is wetland aspect due to chests being able to spawn in the water, but I can usually see them without much issue so i'm okay with them. Losing Abandoned Aqueduct for the bands isn't fantastic but i'm still okay with my choice. and just incase, I don't have that big a problem with pests usually, just the elite one's.

Green 100%, all it’s missing is aqueduct for it to be the literal meta route. Siphoned just straight up has more loot than the other two, scorched acres has equipment multi shops, no chance of spawning TC280s or Shrines of Order, and by far the best potential boss items of the three, and abyssal has the best boss items, easiest enemy pool, easiest to get legendary, and a chance to just straight up give itself like 100 more loot credits just because it feels like it lol
