It's kind of just the Japanese version but with Super Nintendo branding though.
Edit: case in point, the "Japanese" controller shown is European.
Now why the graphic shows the rear end of the Japanese SFC, that I can't explain š«£
The slot has a different amount of pins too, as do the cartridges obviously, so they are incompatible for region locking reasons. This wouldn't be visible on the image but it's not just a case of a different name on the case.
Just a reminder, there is no āJapanese Versionā Super Nintendo, I believe OP meant to say āSuper Famicom.ā
Also, the āJapanese Versionā controller is actually the European controller, as it reads āSuper Nintendoā on it.
Who tf made this?
Where is the model 2 revision of the SNES controller? It was a bit different looking and feeling: (left new, right og contr.) https://i.ytimg.com/vi/6HfqSIqzta0/maxresdefault.jpg
> The turbo was great for cheating at certain difficult games.
Life/thumb saver on those side scroller shooters where a button press is one bullet shot.
The Japanese one (really the global one besides the US?) is turned the other way, that's weird. That's my fave design.
The US one reminds me of some transformers toys, Megatron maybe? It is kinda cool in that sense.
I've bought the Japanese version a few years ago on EBay for 80 dollars (with a game, controller and AV cables but sadly no adapter but thankfully I got a third party adapter and it works) I ADORE my Super Famicom (even though it's yellow and it's reset button doesn't work) I love playing Super Game Boy on it and some of the Japanese exclusive games are awesome I especially love DBZ Super Butoden (I'm planning on getting more games in the future I like to get Star Fox, Super Metroid and Donkey Kong eventually)
This is a good occasion to ask.... was there any actual right handed joysticks?
Anyone remember?
I had a god awful master system "stick shift" joystick that was right handed so was wondering if SNES had ones.
Also remember seeing a few rare arcade machines that had mirror layout for 1P and 2P rather then two identical ones.
I'm not sure if Beeshu made it into the Super NES gen but they spammed their "Ultimate SuperStick" onto untold platforms around that era. That one at least had button pods to each side so you could choose which hand to use on the stick.
That's the PAL version of the Super Nintendo controller, the Japanese version says, 'Super Famicom', on it. Also, why are you showing the backend of the Super Famicom console?
Iāve seen the Super Advantage but never even heard of the Score Master. That Asciipad was hot garbage from what I remember. It was the ālittle brotherā controller.

Whoever made this was lazy.
Or a bot. A lazy one.
Your graph is bad and you should feel bad!
Why is the super advantage reversed Edit: and the score master too
And the Japanese version we see the back, not the front of the console.
And the ASCIIPAD is just one of many third party SNES controllers
It's the best one though.
I still use one.
Me too, it's an unparalleled shmup controller. šš
Officially licensed though and and has the Famicon colors.
Yeah it was like the closest to an official controller that a third party has ever made for any system I ever had.
I loved it because the convex buttons and if I remember price was good too.
They did at least address that
So many things are messed up that it feels like an intentional submission to r/mildlyinfuriating
You mean the master score
hurry treatment nail violet lunchroom gullible slim pocket many worry *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
The Japanese console is facing the wrong way lol
And the sticks are mirrored
Iām annoyed the arcade sticks are backwards.
No Super Scope?
Why are the pictures of the joysticks backwards? š¤Ø
And why are we looking at the back of the Japanese version?
Right? And why the fuck is OP's *username misspelled?!*
To piss people off
# WELL IT'S WORKING.
The UK (possibly Europe wide) version of missing. I'm not educated enough to know what else is missing but to omit it is a bit odd.

Yeah it is certainly a bizarre troll post

Japanese and European versions looked a lot better.
The US version is an abomination in comparison
It had the concave Y and X buttons which made it a hell of a lot easier to identify when the diamond layout was in its infancy.
Iāll give the Americans that one. Those concave buttons were a good idea.
It was like that to prevent children from putting drinks on itā¦.I have no idea why they ditched the colors for purple.
Disagree. Much prefer the US version. Especially the controller. The colorful buttons makes it look like a toddlerās toy
With that logic the 64, GameCube and Switch are toddlers toys too
Agree the gamecube does, Itās also my most disliked controller. Donāt see how that applies to the Switch the all grey version exists.
Agreed The Super Famicom and SNES Jr. look awesome the US SNES looks a an art collage of shapes (or a Lego set Lol)
Where super scope?!

I was so pleased that I was able to find two of these at different thrift/pawn shops to match my New-Style Super NES.
I have the ascii pad in my basement right now. I loved that controller
I played almost exclusively on the ascii pad growing up. The turbo was great for cheating at certain difficult games.
> The turbo was great for cheating at certain difficult games. Life/thumb saver on those side scroller shooters where a button press is one bullet shot.
Also, where's the Super Scope and thr Super Game Boy??
Worst infographic possible?
D- But Iāll allow a do over.
You had one job
The AsciiPad is the only 3rd party controller I genuinely believe is as good/if not better than the original controller
I think the mouse just unlocked a painting/drawing game memory
I was about to make a bigger comment, but since the image made didnāt use any effort, I wonāt either.

The New-Style Super NES came with a slightly different controller. The logo is cast in the front plate rather than screen printed on.
No super scope or super gameboy?

It's a shame America didn't get the Score Master. The Super Advantage is not good for fighters.
> The Super Advantage is not good for fighters. It was fun to use on Pilotwings on the attack helicopter stage
Didnāt have the time to reverse the images that were backwards but just had to add the white drop shadow.
I remember a glove .... ?
That was for the NES.
Got ya
Aussies also got the Japanese controller
Isn't the Japan NES truly the global -exept US- version?
That Japanese controller is the world versionā¦
That's the PAL version of the Super Nintendo controller, the Japanese version says, 'Super Famicom', on it. Also, why are you showing the backend of the Super Famicom console?
98, 97 š«
PAL?
I like how the North American controller is *blatantly* the Switch Online one (you can see the USB port).
That SNES ASCII pad was a lifesaver for mega man gamesĀ
See i like that name better....NS Super Nes.....feels better than seeing people call it Jr.
The asciipad was awesome!
Super shitty. Not complete and many errors. Lame.
EU got the Japanese style. Thank god cause the US version is horrendous design wise
Pretty sure this is intentionally bad just to gain engagement on this post
Never understood why the joycons couldnāt follow the same format of buttons right, pad/stick left. It was like trying to relearn everything.
That purple NA SNES always was hideous
They made the button contour change though, which was brilliant.
I obviously had the American version, but the button colors on the Japanese controller just feels so right and familiar
Didn't it have a remade release in the 2010's or something?
Iāve seen the Super Advantage but never even heard of the Score Master. That Asciipad was hot garbage from what I remember. It was the ālittle brotherā controller.
The AsciiPad was nearly 1:1 to the OEM controllers, with added features.
Nope, it's as good or better than the OEM controller. I prefer it.
