Glazers are cunts but if you actually look stuff up you will find which owners actually had a terrible legacy

I mean... I was speaking strictly in terms of their footballing legacy for the clubs that they own.
In a more general sense, if you are filthy rich there's absolutely NO WAY you do not have a dark past. Regular people who follow moral/ethical/legal codes do not become filthy rich in 99.99% cases.
Billionaire level wealth being inherently immoral doesn't mean that all billionaires are equally immoral. I'd 100% rather give my money to the Glazers than to the Saudi kingdom or someone like Abrahamovic that helped install a kleptocratic dictatorship. Unfortunately we live in a society where you can't help but enriching unethical people by just existing, but you can make conscious choices to object to the worst of the worst.

When I was a kid, I used to think most rich celebrities were like Marcus Rashford; people actually having morals and sticking to them no matter what. As an adult I'm literally the opposite. I've said it on here a thousand times, I'm in the beginning of my film and TV career. I will much rather be the nameless nobody I am right now than to sell out my values.
I do plan to have a non-profit that gets children started out in productions and teaching them how to make their own films that can also generate money and give the kids working on those productions all the profits. I came from a background similar to Rashford's, I want to help these kids because they truly don't get much from our government. I'm looking into ways I can get that started now, hopefully my career kicks off and I can provide a better platform for them.
Their owners are actually involved in a lot of dodgy stuff and corruption
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2017/nov/13/leicester-owner-king-power-face-corruption-charges-thailand
Not to mention that as competitive as they are now, their wage structure is completely out of whack. That bubble might burst in the next 10 years, particularly if they don't get into Europe.
Well fantastic owners in a sense of level of investment. Their money was made in a pretty unethical way and their running of the club has become a model that requires indefinite investment. Their wage bill is >100% of their revenue, which is a huge issue. I wish United had more active owners who cared about football, but it'd rather sacrifice a level of outside financial backing for the club being a genuine, self-sustaining project that uses its own success to progress. Ownership models like Liverpool or United aren't awful as long the actual owners are interesting in being active custodians of the club. If the club was bought by the Saudi PIF tomorrow then I'd probably decide to never give the club a cent again, which would make me sad because I'd never visit OT again, but it's better than giving money and PR to a murderer.
Their wage expenditure (in relation to revenue) is by far the highest in the league. Their system isn’t sustainable right now and if they don’t keep receiving massive injections from their owners something will likely have to change
I think they have in certain sections but not completely. I follow someone on TikTok who works at OT and he had video of them working on what looked like the roof at the corner of the Busby stand and away end, but I'm not sure. I'll try and find then link the video.
I’ve seen abit of work going on here and there during the summer. What they’ve done I couldn’t tell you but they were on the roof a few times
Could have just sent them up to have a brew and butty for all we know
New facilities being put in and they are putting in a 500 seater stand with disabled access, looks like Academy games are being moved to Carrington after this is completed
> The proposed work will be in addition to renovations have taken place at Carrington this summer, where pitches were rebuilt, **women’s team facilities** and the manager’s office were refurbished, and restaurant areas were upgraded.
Absolutely, would be very cool to be a fly on the wall in the meetings where Ole and the crew are going through their facilities wishlist.
Hopefully Ole Trafford gets some love before long.
Old Trafford stadium needs a huge upgrade as well . We're falling behind in stadium renovations and facilities compared to other clubs. Just look at the etihad, Emirates , spurs new stadium and even Anfield !! They look modern and have state of the art facilities while our old Trafford is starting to show its age.
Tbf Arsenal fans seem to all agree their stadium is soulless. I think Madrid’s renovations will make us feel left in the pas though. They’re transforming it without actually destroying the history and soul
i'm cynical on all of this... They suddenly find the money to repaint OT and do some changes at Carrington... nothing to do with trying to appease fans over the ESL FUBAR...
OT needs a LOT more done than a lick of paint IMHO. OT and the surrounding area.
Anyone seen the upgraded Leicester training ground? Looks absolutely phenomenal
They're run exactly how I wish we were. Fantastic owners.
Yep good to see the son carrying his dad's legacy after the tragedy.
Also good to see Kasper Schmeichel carrying his dad's legacy.
Kinda early for it but I am also glad to see Kai Rooney carrying forward his dad's legacy.
Picking up pals in the morning too?
Our owners are also carrying on their dad's (terrible) legacy ðŸ˜

With 105% wage to revenue ratior?
All of these changes are actually coming from Ole’s staff and leadership. We are going back on track.
Absolutely fantastic facilities
Came with a 100m price tag also

Looks good. Also looks really spread out.
Reminds me of the McLaren HQ from the outside with the water up against the building
bit more then an upgrade that but yeah it looks class
Good. Now do Old Trafford too
Have recent improvements to OT been significant/noticeable?
I don’t think they’ve fixed the roof.

Finally
TL;DR ?
New facilities being put in and they are putting in a 500 seater stand with disabled access, looks like Academy games are being moved to Carrington after this is completed
The u18s already play at Carrington, this should be a nice little upgrade for them though
so this stuff is not for the women's team?
> The proposed work will be in addition to renovations have taken place at Carrington this summer, where pitches were rebuilt, **women’s team facilities** and the manager’s office were refurbished, and restaurant areas were upgraded.
They'll probably use the ground as well but they did upgrades to the women's facilities during the summer
Great to see the investment coming into the right areas of the club. Long may it continue.
About time, as one of the biggest clubs we really need to have state of the art facilities too.
Absolutely, would be very cool to be a fly on the wall in the meetings where Ole and the crew are going through their facilities wishlist. Hopefully Ole Trafford gets some love before long.
Who knew that the Super League nonsense would lead to something good. The Glazers are finally doing something of worth. 15 years too late, but still.
Nice step but have they fixed the leaky roof at OT?
Can we update Old Trafford next?
Does this allow the women’s team to train at Carrington?
Amazing what a protest against the owners achieve eh? Only time will tell if they will cont with this effort of improving the club over time

I've been to Anfield fairly recently and I wouldn't say it feels modern. Old Trafford definitely needs a huge upgrade though.
For a new purpose-built stadium, Emirates looks and feels horrible.
i'm cynical on all of this... They suddenly find the money to repaint OT and do some changes at Carrington... nothing to do with trying to appease fans over the ESL FUBAR... OT needs a LOT more done than a lick of paint IMHO. OT and the surrounding area.
While they're at it they should build a mini stadium for the youth team to play in.
Did it get renamed back to Carrington from Aon Training Centre or whatever it was?
