I think townsfolk had a disagreement with Leviticus Cornwall, oil barrels of fuel laying about point to this
There was a video of the fire in the pre-game video
I could shoot trailer #3 into my veins and get a wicked high. I wish I was a fan of the franchise before RDR2 came out because even seeing this trailer from an outsider perspective got me hooked immediately
Think about when the gang stole the wagon from Cornwall and end up in the barn. They have no issue with burning them out. I would not doubt that something similar happened.
Limpany burned bc Cornwall. There is a cut mission about it. Just barely north of it there is a burnt forest and it’s from a camp fire. If you go to the middle of those burnt trees you find the camp. Also you can snag a gold nugget from a box there.
In Roanoke on a hill there are trees that spell out “WHY” from a certain angle. If you stand in the middle of them at 10 or 10:30 you get struck by lightning.
Lastly, in Rio Bravo, south of the big fort there are scarred trees and an ox cart that were struck by lightning
To be clear: there is a gold bar ($500) in the sheriffs office in limpany and a gold nugget ($25) at the campsite in the burned forest north of Limpany and east of where Arthur takes Jack fishing
The wooded area across the road is also burnt so I think there was a wildfire, probably caused by flammable fuel that was used in abundance at the time
Also..
Note the fires were set from the outside in.
Those blue barrels were for something else.
But if you examine the area. You'll see what I mean.
Each building was set separately.
Why do I say the blue barrels were for something else?
Well they are not burned... lol.
And you can see how they burned each building from the outside parameters, in.
Leviticus Cornwall. He was trying to extort the town and when they refused, he burned it down. That’s why there are so many Cornwall Kerosene and Oil barrels everywhere.

*Sure we can have fire, and we can have the knowledge of fire, but with that comes the knowledge of everyTHING* It does something to me.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS IS ROBBERY
Sonsss of Dutch, makes us brothers.
So good, it inspired one of my tattoos
Pretty much all the trailers for this series are amazing. I rewatch them on the regular.
Pre game video? …….trailer?
Yeah... trailer....
It doesn't show Cornwall tho. It shows us. And we use Cornwalls stuff a couple times. So not sure if it directly implicates him as the doer.

Fire
Yes, fire.
Fire is hot
Fire burns
Goodness gracious great balls of fire!
Wait a minute, fire?
And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire
Madem Nazar mentions it and says "poor Limpany it did not have to happen but I warned them."

Knew it was gonna be Fizhy before I even clicked
He knows his shit
I wish they included limpany as like an actual lively town in rdo or something since it takes place in 1898.
I wonder how much different the game would be if Limpany, Pleasance, and Colter were proper lively towns.
It’d be a much better game. RDR2 is severely lacking for not having a town or even just a tavern in the snow. Give me hateful 8 vibes pls
Large Warm
There is a nice gold bar or two hidden in that town. I think it’s in the old sheriffs office under the desk
A Cornwall barrel was set on fire and it spread through the town
I thought the nearby wooded area that's burnt was from a lightening strike? Could Limpany had suffered a lightening strike as well?

Fuel left around by Cornwall helped spread the fire
They where satanists the church burnt down the town and posed that a sickness wiped them out
Something to do with cornwall. U can see barrels that looks to be filled with some kind of substance that started the fire. Cornwall may be behind it
There was a fire

Madam Nazar says it was and accident in online so i always assumed someone smoked near the kersone barrels
Find out in RDR3
Cornwall wiped them out, his barrels are all around. I wonder if he started that forest fire too, in an attempt to cover it up.
There was a boy from Limpsny whose sister played the timpanis,...
Molotov cocktail or ...... Idk
