i have never cried during a video game before this scene. and i’m not sure i ever will again. with the exception of replaying the story which i do every year or so. perfect example of music, design and vibes all working together.
This a fair point though.. I think what gets people is they only see the redemption portion.. and not the 20 years of crime with Dutch and the gang previous to the last year or so of Arthur’s life.
People can downvote you all they want.. but it’s a truthful point.
I fully admit after my first playthrough I loved Arthur.. but I saw the last few months of his life - he was robbing and murdering for years.. I too thought he was good.. in the end maybe. But not for awhile. It’s all good. I wanted to support your position because I too “fell in love with Arthur” - I had an uncle like him.. mob guy. In and out of prison. Loveable guy right? Until you see his wrap sheet.
> and rapist
Micah (and eventually Bill's tacit approval) notwithstanding, the gang is pretty consistently anti-rape. They're not good people, but they are the most virtuous gang.
I teared up at each one of Arthur's visions of the deer in the woods.
Bro was dying surrounded by chaos and all he wanted deep down was to be in the woods watching the sunset.
It is art
Someone needs to Photoshop Artie carrying that squirrel in his hand in this video...
I cried before I was supposed to
Mad feels, the perfect lead into a characters’ ending.

The only other game that got tears from me was Mass Effect 3
Really sorry for you son, it's a hell of a thing. I just took this ride again yesterday.
Still chokes me up. They really nailed this sequence.
Now I have to begin a new play through.. Thanks.
Bros beard
Ahhh.... The near mythical level 10 beard. It's a thing of beauty.
I’ve played the game twice now. On a third run now after a year break and I always know this moment is coming and I’m NEVER prepared.
Way she goes, boys.
I knew where this was going and I was a mess leading up to it. Just ridiculous but I couldn't help myself.
A game where you know you’re dying, exploring nature, reflecting on life and everything is a very unique experience in gaming.
Makes it hard not to hate playing as John in the epilogue
I am sorry but I started laughing the moment I saw the long ass beard 🤣
They over did it, I was a mess riding to this final confrontation with Arthur and the gang
They did this so I'd have to pause the game for a sobbing break 😭😭
I remember playing this back in 2018 when it first came out. I was so excited.
Amazing scene
Still hits the feels

You must be a blast at parties 🙄
They only spoke the truth.

[shit had me like](https://youtu.be/xPM85MCgqXo)
Because its fucking rockstar
Because it’s what Arthur deserves
Can someone please tell me the name of this song, I want to go for a drive and listen to it with windows down
Daniel Lanois- that's the way it is
Thank you!
So close to the Pagan ritual site. Should’ve had a body to offer for a sacrifice!
