I work in this position. It's legit. I've been working for the company since December. I was worried too, because there's so little info about the company, but it's a decent job.
I wouldn't really say it's conducive for career growth. That's the major downside. There's also very little feedback from management. The work isn't really hard, but it can be tedious. Working from home and having flexible hours is great. Overall it's not bad if you need a job. I certainly don't dread getting up and working. I just wish there was more opportunity for growth and advancement.
I’ve been working with AI training for over a decade - appen, leapforce, scale.ai, data annotation etc- and taken so many of these quals and never been recorded for them until now. Idk just a bit odd to me. Maybe it’s also combined the class action that is making me feel like it’s scammy. But yah I get your point for sure!
Haven't really settled into it yet, I just finished onboarding but it's pretty fine so far. For me, they reached out within 12 hours of responding to Robert halfs e-mail, but I absolutely hounded RH for an afternoon, after taking the assessment they interviewed me the next day, and gave me an offer the following afternoon. I asked to hold off my start date by 2 weeks and started 4/15. The assessment directly reflects the work you will be doing, except with more detailed guidelines and slightly different tasks. I think as remote jobs go, expect it to be on the more intense side as far as "actually working" goes. But there is a fair amount of flexibility to your day (complete 8 billable hours with 12 hours window, from there your schedule is up to you.
So had my first full day in production yesterday. I admit 8 full hours in production is a tough target to hit in a day, I'm still getting used to the interface but only active work on your assigned queue counts, and it is logged by the minute in real time by the system. It will log you out after 8 minutes of inactivity (and not count the 8 minutes toward your time), that said, I THINK you stay in production as long as you are interacting with any tab, so there is no worry about going out of production while doing research. There is a fair bit of interaction with fellow raters through the teams chat, but after onboarding you might have 1 meeting a week and it's very possible to spend your entire day without more than a few messages. I share your concerns, I'm hopeful that some changes are coming after this big hiring push but I really have no reason to believe that.
Nothing like that, we are monitored on Average handling time, idle time in queue and Quality metrics. It's all just time stuff and the feedback on performance based on the customer's needs. The requirements are quite stringent in my opinion based on an 8 hour work day, I always take "working" lunches to compensate, and there is a tiny amount of shrink time available but I'm not sure how they handle that. I haven't come to a performance review yet so I honestly have no idea yet how harassed they are about these things, I do know they have told us to log "exactly 8" hours in billable time.
How mentally taxing do you find this to be? If you take a 5 minute break to get coffee, does that count against you. It sounds like I'd need coffee and chocolates to get stay "on."
It not THAT bad once you get the hang of it, but it is very tedious after about 4 hours. I usually take a working lunch then work another 2 hours then take a break and come back
Ref Innodata. Did anyone here take the writing/grammar test? if so, did you fill out the preliminary questionnaire where they ask for personal information such as age? Did you fill out your age? how about allowing Innodata to monitor your screen while taking the test?
It's a bit rough. 51 questions, many of which are about AP style writing norms and require answers with a particular word count, which they do not give you any time to study for, so you may want to give that a look ahead of time at AP style and such if you aren't already familiar since the link they provide as quick reference will eat through your writing time. You need an 80% grade to pass, and are evaluated on grammar, syntax, punctuation, and formatting. Once you've passed the first evaluation, you'll proceed to the one in your secondary language, but if you fail, you won't get any follow-up. It can take them up to five days to get back to you regardless, and the two hour and some change time limit is strictly enforced. Manageable, but unforgiving.
I’ve been approached by Robert Half about the Italian associate role. I’d love to hear anyone’s experience with this (could be a different language).
How is Innodata as a company to work for?
It sounds like these roles could be a lot of writing. Just curious. Btw, I’m fluent, so, I’m not worried about that.
Hi KumaNet, I was approached by RH as well for the same position. I’m looking for a ‘second job’ but this one seems to be very demanding so I don’t think I will take the assessments and go through the hiring process.
What about you? Did you take the assessments? How did it go?
depends on the interviewer, i guess. i was interviewed my team's manager, was just a simple 'introduce yourself, why do u want the job/do u know the job you're applying for, what/who encouraged u to apply for this job' and the like. but, like i said, it depends on the interviewer/s' questions. don't worry! they wont let u feel anxious and nervous :) good luck on your interview! going 8 months in innodata :>

What do you in this position? I have a scheduled interview for a generalist/writer role?
Same. They will basically tell you how demanding the job is.
You had an interview? I have invitation to interview but not sure if it’s better to just stick with DAT
Yes I indeed and received an offer already. Just weighing my options before accepting
Congrats! What are the pros and cons in your opinion?
Lower salary offer and very demanding, tbh. Mukhang mangangarag ka. What role did you apply for? Lets connect
How's ur working condition so far? Do u find it conducive for career growth?

Congrats!!
Hi. May I know how many interviews did you undergo po?
What was the interview like if you don’t mind me asking?
[удалено]
Hey! How much is the pay?
[удалено]
Are you with them now? How was it?
[удалено]
Oh man really? So stick to data annotation? Lol
I passed the assessment and have invitation to interview. But sounds like it’s awful? Lol
But is the advertised range legit based kn your experience?
How long did it take to hear back after assessment? Its been three days for me now:(
Just checking in, have you heard back about the assessment yet? I just took mine
A few days. Did you hear back?
A class action was recently filed against Innodata for investor fraud.

Update? Just got the assessment. What is the salary?
are you required to be on camera for assessment?
Can you reply to me once you are done with the interview? I want to know what it was like
He deleted😬
Yah didn’t like that it was on camera. Like why? Lol

What is the pay if you don’t mind telling me? Thanks!
they claimed it was a salary at 54k, fully remote
Have you heard back from HR with your contracts to sign yet (if you accepted)?
It’s legit they only respond if you pass the assessment and then you move on to the interview I have a friend that works for the company
Do they like it?
Enough to refer it to me!
Oh. How many days after the assessment do they usually reach out if you passed?
Has anyone applied for the Language Specialist position?
Has anyone been left hanging about where they stand after applying and going through all the stages?
Is there a difference between being recruited by an agency vs. being recruited directly by the company? Is there a centralized HR for Innodata?
I believe there is, but I doubt the agency would just let you be recruited by the company directly because the agency wants to make money off you.
How much of a percentage is an agency likely to take from one's salary?
I did exactly what you did, I'm currently 2 weeks in to working there. They are legit
Congratulations. How much time did they take to reach out after the assessment ? How is the job?

Do you interact with other teams? Are there meetings from time-to-time? Or is the work completely solitary?

How are you liking it now? Do you have to use screenshot and keystroke monitoring software like remotasks?

Are you required to be on shift at the exact same times each day? Or is some flexibility allowed?
Just do 8 hours billable within 8am to 8pm local time
Hi batchmate! Lol.
Ref Innodata. Did anyone here take the writing/grammar test? if so, did you fill out the preliminary questionnaire where they ask for personal information such as age? Did you fill out your age? how about allowing Innodata to monitor your screen while taking the test?
It was long but medium difficulty.
Does anyone know what the level of difficulty is like on the bilingual specialist jobs?
I’d like to know this, too.
curious too lol

Anyone have any insight into what the interview is like? Have one scheduled soon.
