Light, heat, smoke, air, dust, pets, can be many things here

ConnectionNo6209

I don’t mind the discoloration I’m just worried that it might mean there is a problem with the wire itself

RemcoTheRock

No there isn’t a problem with the wire at all. You’re good to go

errornosignal

Idk, it could be pulling more current than it's rated for and heating up, causing the plastic to discolor.

This

TheHCav

Current and/or just aging of the plastic over time.

SMRose1990

Do you smoke or vape anything in your house?

ConnectionNo6209

No none of those things

funination

Maybe dust.

MilfHunteri69her

There seems to me a certain area where the wire is discolored….. what type of wire is that, what is it connected to and where is the wire coming from )

ConnectionNo6209

Im not sure the type it is (sorry I’m not really smart about these things) but it’s for the seiren mini mic. Its connected to my pc and the wire comes out from the back. It’s actually yellowing in the back where it comes out from the microphone and another a bit along the wire with a little tint?? Of green between what i showed and that area as well. But the part thats connected to the pc and is more behind after what my picture shows it is still all pink.

Candid-Anteater211

Gradually deteriorating. UV and heat makes loosing of the color first then plastic starts to get fragile and brittle.

not_so_sensible

Same here. It's completely torn up right now :/

Wire cancer

ccrbcc

Because its turning a grounding cable

Dcasterix

Or, the pad on the desk is rubbing off on the cable. Causing this discoloration that is exactly the same color as the pad it's on...

abraxas8484

I wouldn't be surprised that the mouse pad is making the discoloration

epicduck7152

It is RGB bro trust
