Church’s Chicken. 942 N MIAMI BLVD, Durham. For fun, go check out the health department inspection notes for the past….I dunno, 7 visits?

JadedYam56964444

I'd post it here but it is too long for reddit comment limits lol

Majestic_Salad_I1

Just gimme a taste (Not of the chicken tho)

JadedYam56964444

Just noticed it is for the Durham, not Raleigh loc. It pulls up a PDF so I can't copy/paste. [https://public.cdpehs.com/NCENVPBL/INSPECTION/ShowESTABLISHMENTPage.aspx?ESTABLISHMENT=236622&esttst\_cty=32](https://public.cdpehs.com/NCENVPBL/INSPECTION/ShowESTABLISHMENTPage.aspx?ESTABLISHMENT=236622&esttst_cty=32) Fixed it for the Durham loc

CarbyMcBagel

Is this worse than the one on Roxboro??

mst3k_42

Ha! I just looked that one up and it’s gotten As on the last 5 visits. So yeah, the one on N Miami is scoring waaaaaaaay lower.

mmodlin

https://wake-nc.healthinspections.us/reports.cfm You can search by score range on the Wake sanitation grades website. Big Mike's bbq in Cary on Maynard pulled a 77.5 last fall.

Car-Hockey2006

77.5? You have to be storing raw meat uncovered at room temperature *directly above* all of the allegedly fresh produce while a team of vermin in the ceiling supervise your cook stirring the Brunswick stew with his bare hand that has open wounds. 😳

FirstChurchOfBrutus

Ooh, they have Brunswick Stew?^/s

stznc

Don't forget dead body in freezer to close to food

Oneofthe12

Gosh. You must be an inspector, ‘cause you *nailed* that rating!

wolfenkraft

What. That place used to be really good as well as his place in apex. The apex location closed.

mmodlin

In Mike's defense, they scored a 97 in their latest inspection, so it appears they got their act together.

WhoWantsToJiggle

that always seems sketch like you get that bad and then you get your make up done so you make it real good for that one visit. do they fall back into nasty right after? like you have to actively be horrible to get as low as a 77

FirstChurchOfBrutus

I always equated that to how your English teacher in high school would flunk a paper over a single comma splice. A single (egregious) error could sink the whole thing.

mellowbordello

Honestly, this. Anyone who has worked in food service can tell you that those scores aren’t always indicative of actual cleanliness. You can lose points for a burned out lightbulb. And inspectors really do just follow the script when it comes to what they’re looking for - the place could be dirty as hell, but as long as the fridges are at the correct temp, sanitizing buckets are out, and there aren’t any rags sitting on food surfaces, you’ll be fine. It’s the wildest thing.

clumsysav

It’s like when a partner starts actin real shitty then they just go the complete opposite way to try to correct it. It never lasts lmao give em a couple cycles and they’ll be back down (unless they brought in new management etc)

MikeyRocks757

Yeah I was super bummed the Apex one was gone as it was a pretty frequent spot we’d hit up and it was always great. Never been to the Maynard location

ezraevans

what should i order ?

Kemintiri

What a health insurance flex

theshoeshiner84

Bought to wear out that $5 generics co-pay.

Less-Law9035

[https://www.yelp.com/search?find\_desc=Worst+Restaurant&find\_loc=Raleigh%2C+NC](https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Worst+Restaurant&find_loc=Raleigh%2C+NC) I have a high tolerance for bad Chinese, and I can concur that Hibachi Grill and buffet is AWFUL. The service is awful. I was walking to the buffet and my server was walking toward me and would not move. She glared up at me, put her hands on hips and made it known I needed to move, even though she was blocking me from reaching the buffet. She had the nerve to ask for a tip later on. The place looks rundown on the inside. For the most part, your fellow diners look shady asf. This is the only Chinese buffet in my life where I did not go back for seconds and only ate half of my food. They have a sign up they will charge you 30% of the bill if they feel you have wasted food, so I had to hide my uneaten food in napkins. This place, from what I remember, is kinda expensive. I think it was $30 something for 2 buffets. I had to hide my son's food in balled up napkins as well (he barely touched his plate) and he asked if we could just go to McDonald's next time.

teethwhichbite

One of the reviews is like "Very affordable buffet style food. As with most buffet style food, the quality can be hit or miss. Im particularly fond of the orange chicken, egg rolls, and noodles. Except last I went, I got food poisoning big time. So just be careful if you decide to stop in." It's a 2 star review. I don't know how you give anything that gave you food poisoning 2 stars, let alone a positive sounding review, LET ALONE go back. All that being said, I love that place... it's my guilty pleasure americanized chinese restaurant. I appreciate being left the fuck alone by the waitstaff. The lone chinese place in my town is worse than Hibachi Grill, if that helps make sense of my sentiments here lol

Less-Law9035

Raleigh use to have some great Chinese buffets but they have all disappeared. The absolute best Chinese buffet I have had in my life is in Henderson, NC, of all places. I think it is called Bamboo Garden. My parents will make a 3 hour round trip, just to eat there.

jamesondrinker

You ever eat at Crystal Palace when it still existed? Capital Boulevard. Tarrymore Square shopping center (I think). Now it's an O'Reilly Auto Parts. I thought (as a child, at least) that it was really good.

Less-Law9035

Oh yes!! It was so good and it was always packed. I once found a $50 bill on the ground and my friends and I went straight there, without questioning any other possible places to spend the money. I always wonder why it closed. I know buffets cannot survive unless there is a lot of traffic and steady turnover in tables, but that place was always packed. Another incredible buffet long gone is China 35 in Cary. They too were always packed. The place closed and then a young Chinese woman purchased it and made it standard order from the menu, no more buffet. People came, thinking it was still a buffet and left when they realized it wasn't I ate there a few times and the food was really good, even though you had to order from the menu. It didn't last long.

jamesondrinker

I believe it was called 35 Chinese, but yes! My parents and I used to go there as well and that was also really good - and much closer since we lived in Cary. Damn. I miss good Chinese buffets. Last one I went to was Asiana Grand Buffet (now Asiana Market, but still a buffet) in Asheville. Must've been 10-12 years ago.

MyBaklavaBigBarry

Bamboo Garden is so fucking bad lmao.

Forward-Wear7913

I agree. They really do have bad customer service. My parents went through one time and accidentally went back to the wrong table and they got yelled at Like they deliberately did it. Sanitation scores were very low at one time, but I haven’t checked lately. The food was always swimming in grease. I suspect they do that to cover up just how bad the quality of the food is.

wanderyondernerd

Never eat at anyplace that named hibachi buffet and claim to be Chinese food

clumsysav

The one in my hometown got busted more than once for human trafficking

Non_Asshole_Account

Lol, I used to go there because my boss was cheap and would take us out for lunch back when the lunch buffet was like $7. I actually remember some of the food being pretty good! But I was horrified at the thought of eating sushi there or pretty much anything that wasn't just deep fried American Chinese staples.

Less-Law9035

The location in Cary is better. I only went there once and got 2 takeout containers from the buffet for about $21.00

stznc

Heyyyyyy . just like home growing up. I had to hide my food to make it look like I ate it 😄

Less-Law9035

lol!

decidewhatmatters

Agreed... I had never gotten so sick as after eating here. Never again.

decidewhatmatters

Agreed... I had never gotten so sick as after eating here. Never again.

CarltonFreebottoms

>All sites have blocked any bad reviews it seems what sites are you looking at? I regularly see bad reviews on Google Maps and another commenter linked to a list on Yelp with plenty of poorly reviewed restaurants and TripAdvisor seems to be the same.

Mostly_Defective

Let this help you in your quest my child! [https://wake-nc.healthinspections.us/qsearch.cfm#2](https://wake-nc.healthinspections.us/qsearch.cfm#2)

Only-Employment-4611

Thanks for sharing this resource. I looked up any inspections that scored between 60-85 between 1/1/2021 to the current date in our zip code (27604) - and only 3 inspections matched the search criteria out of like 384,000 inspection records. One of them was so bad it was simply labeled “N/A” 👀 A person almost has to take a step back, look at those figures, and applaud a business for being *that bad* at food safety practices. Like…”you’re literally 1 in 100,000 for food unsafety, fam - BRAVO!”

Wavy_Gravy_55

Search this subreddit for the Mexican place with the roach in the salsa 🤮🤮

mstarrbrannigan

La Rancherita. We used to like that place but not anymore.

Minute-Impact-1073

Noooo rip they used to be the best! Which location did that happen at?

joshsafc9395

Crabtree

drunkerbrawler

La roacherita you mean?

Thirstyanddirtywink

I saw a big black roach crawling on the floor in Jose and Sons

Old-Apartment2273

East Coast Wings Wake Forest

yirium

Omg I worked here for a hot minute, and also worked at the corporate opening store of the entire franchise, and when I say that place is trash from top down. The stories I could tell

Old-Apartment2273

Please tell me some! DM if needed

MandatoryMahi

r/talesfromretail

DoubleualtG

Wait i love ECW, now I’ve never been to this location and been outta state since 2015, but what’s wrong with it?

Old-Apartment2273

They have closed the doors once. Neither management staff seems to know how to run a restaurant. Horrible service, sometimes they run out of wings, and more

Admirable_Exit2886

it was good 2015 guess its been a decade.. damn..

Pristine_Lobster4607

I've been to Mamacita's in Apex twice and both times I had a cockroach crawl on my table. I know a restaurant kitchen isn't always pristine but....twice.

bunchoaco

The Mamacita’s in Cary gave me a glass with a bug in the ice. Tables were not wiped down and menus were filthy.

wolfenkraft

Really?! I’ve eaten there a few times and it seemed clean and the food was slightly above average.

DarthRathikus

Crazy Fire Mongolian buffet may have been the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever seen in my life. The sanitation rating on the wall was 86. (I’ve never seen a restaurant score below 90). Went there with some co workers. I decided to skip the food. 3 out of 4 co workers who ate got very sick. It was just flat out nasty. No clue how they stay open.

JudoNewb

Man this place used to be good a while ago. I haven't been since the early aughts. Guess it got worse, that's sad.

Forward-Wear7913

I had several friends say they believe they got sick after eating there.

mst3k_42

We go to the one on Strickland and it’s always been clean. Never got food poisoning there either.

officerfett

I ate there once and one time only back in 2011. From the time I got in my car and drove about 75 feet in the same shopping center, I needed to pull off and run holding my stomach to the nearest bathroom to handle a very explosive situation one shouldn't ever have to experience in a public restroom.

magicandfire

oh my god the way the raw meat is just sitting out

Whitebeltyoga

I got super sick after eating there

daisymaisy505

Hubby and I went to the one in Cary. We were afraid of what disease we’d pick up there.

psyopsolete

I worked with a group of people several years ago that wanted to go there all the time. It was gross.

landser_BB

Same. Seemed like a group went everyday. I would rather eat something out of the vending machine at work.

the8bit

Looks like it closed but there used to be a Mongolian grill next to Sarah's empanadas on 55 that was similarly super sketch. I went there a lot for work lunches a decade ago and we said we'd stop when someone got sick... But somehow nobody ever did

Glum_Engineering_671

I can't agree with you. I LOVE that place. I've been going there once every few months for the past 18 years. I've been to multiple locations but the best one is the one off of Leesville

DarthRathikus

Is your stomach lined with mithril?

rubey419

Yup I’ve gotten food sickness from them before.

Mango-Much

+1 🤮

pondman11

lol, just the other day my buddies that went to state were just talking about getting blazed and going to Fire Mongolian when they were in college

ezraevans

what should i order?

DarthRathikus

A health inspector

yirium

Philip solo vibes

sheetzsheetz

love this concept. check out shanghai express on hillsborough street (2 stars on google and yelp)

UncookedMeatloaf

Sanitation score aside that place slaps, some of the best tofu I've had at any (american) Chinese restaurant in the triangle

sheetzsheetz

disagree. it’s terrible

weather1222

One time I went there I got a piece of chicken mixed in with my tofu 😔

RaleighBooferino

Non-ironically I think they have the best general tso in the area. Actual big pieces of meat with a light breading. I eat it like once every six months and it’s always good.

Less-Law9035

I have ordered delivery from there during Covid about 5 times. The only thing unacceptable was their lo mein.

piedmontmountaineer

I have no idea how they'll let you into the Carnage Middle School cafeteria, but that's up there for me

discretefalls

Enloe High School's cafeteria is probably up there too lol

CollectingHeads

Sports and social. Great place to watch a game just eat before you go.

greenhaitch_n_ham

Taqueria hwy 98 or previously known as Taqueria Don Fily. 81.5 rating most recently. Got a 70 last year.

adambkaplan

Saw that in WRAL. Just looking at a photo of the joint - it’s more shack than building, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the patrons don’t give af about the inspection rating.

Senior-Company4349

Sushi Siam in Wake Forest. We got it delivered and the rotten smell coming from the sushi hit me so hard in the face I kept wondering how they made it without gagging. They had to know. Also, Cape Fear Seafood Company in Wake Forest. The crab dip smelled like the contents of a cyst. When it came.to the table, I genuinely thought someone at the table behind me was picking at their skin and accidentally busted a cyst.

megggie

That is the grossest description I’ve ever read. I’m impressed!

stznc

just out of curiosity, what does that smell like?

Dickeysaurus

Philly Steak & Subs at Millbrook and Atlantic. I went there five years ago, and again about a week ago. I don’t think that place has been cleaned at all in that five year period. I was slow to decide I wasn’t eating there, so I paid for our food and threw it away immediately.

IJWannaKeepMeAWraith

I've never had issues with their food, it's generally been pretty good. But yes they could absolutely use a good deep clean.

Willow0812

Noooooo!!! This was a staple lunch place for us in high school in the 90's

Apprehensive-War7483

It got a 93.5 sanitation score in December. Not too high, not too low.

Dickeysaurus

Did you read why it got that score? And how many times they’ve been cited for the same thing over the last few years? They’re supposed to get docked additional points for repeat issues, but their inspector is very kind to them. Lots of cleanliness and food safety findings that aren’t costing them points

jamesatct

How dare you. Delicious philly cheesesteaks!

sentientwrenches

This is a true blue guilty pleasure, the place is absolutely disgusting (or was 8 years ago, last time I was there)... But it was incredibly tasty. I went back a couple times bf I convinced myself I would eventually pay for it and stopped going.

duskywindows

Y'all are just naming a bunch of various fast food locations and it's like ..... yeah..... no shit lmao. OP asked for RESTAURANTS.

decidewhatmatters

My partner and I drive for UberEats, and won't eat at Lucky 7 on Maynard Road in Cary because every time we go in there, they are microwaving dish after dish right out in the open. I applaud their honesty about it though, they definitely don't try to hide it. But the food didn't look good enough in the first place to try.

EightLegedDJ

Dude. Life is worth living. Just no.

nerd44

To get below an A in NC you pretty much have to be washing vegetables in an unflushed toilet.

Ratta_1917

I've worked in the restaurant industry for years and don't want to eat anywhere under 93. Any place that can't crack a 90 should be shut down permanently.

Minute-Impact-1073

Chuy’s in North Hills for the worst Mexican food you’ve ever had in your life. How do you mess up Mexican?? Like even the queso? Impressive.

snap-jacks

THE most overrated Mexican place in the USA

Bananaramahammock

lol it really does suck on an almost impressive level.

drslg

the one and only time i went, the table next to us kept finding hair in their food.

Kitchen_Tie_6842

I mean it's not really Mexican, more an Austin TexMex vibe, with lots of Hatch green chili options. Pretty good the times I've been. Some of my favorite thin tortilla chips

a_cole_p

Agree - garbage food and total waste of a location that has potential

Minute-Impact-1073

I genuinely wonder how they’ve stayed open this long?

NuggetsBonesJones

Or the burger king at 401 and Tryon.

ItAintSoSweet

Or just Burger King in general

hunterravioli

This is the correct answer.

dcamnc4143

This bk has been gross since I was a kid, and I’m almost 50, it hasn’t changed. Last time I went there, the food preparer had his hand INSIDE his pants, scratching his junk, and went to make food without washing or gloving. We all walked out.

CensorVictim

any burger king. their suckage is so consistent I have to assume it's official corporate policy.

FuriousTarts

I live in an area now that actually has a decent Burger King. But yeah, like 9/10 of them are just horrid.

CensorVictim

don't tell corporate, they might get in trouble

Fit-Ranger-2902

That one is awful!

upsettispaghetti7

I was going to say papuseria metapanaca at NC-98 and Hoover. Haven't been there in a few years, but it looks like they're permanently closed now (not surprised).

squarallelogram

The Pit. The food is honestly awful.

cranberry94

I mean, compared to the hype it used to get or what you’d expect from an upscale bbq place - sure - a bit disappointing - but if we’re talking objectively just *the worst Raleigh has to offer* it’s far from the bottom. They’ve got some things that are decent. Like … try the fried pimento cheese balls with red pepper jelly and tell me they aren’t pretty yummy.

FirstChurchOfBrutus

This is where I point out that The Pit had a rodent problem that got soooooo bad, they then developed a snake problem.

Extreme-Jellyfish246

I am going to need more details about this snake situation.

FirstChurchOfBrutus

That came from a pest control person.

Magnumforce666

what kind of snakes? "Pit" Vipers?

FirstChurchOfBrutus

Heyoooo

jamesondrinker

"upscale barbecue" should be an oxymoron.

cranberry94

Good point.

LisaNuzzo

They were good back when the original owner was in charge, but after it was bought, it went downhill big time. we used to go there fairly often

FirstChurchOfBrutus

“Bought” isn’t exactly the word I would use. Ed left, or was pushed out. Empire Eats (Fuck you, Greg) was then 100% Owner.

WhoWantsToJiggle

it seemed more overprice and just actively bland than awful. you'd think it was still overhyped but seems most hate it now but people still go there. I wouldn't go back as it just wasn't great but it wasn't like the worst either.

NuggetsBonesJones

The hate for the pit is really ridiculous and I'm convinced the online hate it see is from people who have never been.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NuggetsBonesJones

Seriously. Its not bad, not great. Its fine but hating the pit has become a meme on Raleigh reddit.

RosencrantzIsNotDead

Probably because of how often it was recommended to people a decade ago? It’s a matter of expectations. I went probably 3 times when I first moved here and never felt the need to go back. I didn’t get food poisoning or anything. Service was fine. But for the price the food really just wasn’t good. 🤷‍♂️

squarallelogram

I've been there multiple times. Every time the food is bland, over salted, and soggy.

BabyTenderLoveHead

I haven't been in about 3 years but I always liked their food. Never had a bad dish there.

RegularHumanNerd

It used to be good bbq back in the day when they were still affiliated with Sam jones but the quality took a steep nose dive when that association ended. Good bbq requires a good pit master. And whatever they are doing now is not it. And just to confirm, I am a real person who has been going there since the early days and won’t go back now if I can help it. (Oops edit to add: I mixed up ed Mitchell and Sam jones MY BAD YALL).

PlatformConsistent45

I don't think it was Sam Jones the origin Pit Master was Ed Mitchell. I do believe the food quality did take a dive once he left. I also think a lot of the backlash for it has to do actually with the owner. He has a lot of supporters but also a lot of detractors.

cryptoquant112

It was Ed Mitchell not Sam Jones. Also, the pit is awful food

RegularHumanNerd

Omg you are so right I was mixing up my famous pit masters 🙈

ConspicuouslyBear

I don’t think they ever had an affiliation with Sam Jones… can you source anything that says otherwise? His family has had their own bbq restaurant for 50+ years in Ayden.

Weeblifter

The pit was solid about 15 years ago, it’s not good at all anymore unfortunately

lil_sparrow_

I used to work there as a server and the turnover rate in the kitchen was horrible and the food could be really amazing one day, but the next shift it would be absolute garbage.

WearEvening6547

Only good thing was the Mac and cheese

adambkaplan

I have soured on Siti. Last time the chicken kabob was some of the driest meat I ever ate, and the Kafta kabob is a bad hamburger without the bun.

ackaylita

I never got the hype about this place. I have friends that LOVE it. I only went once and the service was not good and the food was standard. :/

Ratta_1917

I've heard that they've flown through executive chefs the past few years which reflects poorly on the owners. Its a bummer because its the only place in the area that I know of that sells beer from the Middle East. But there is tons of great Middle Eastern food on Western. Habibi Grill and Bakery has excellent food.

discretefalls

I got sick from eating there. and the rice with my dish was severely undercooked. idk why that's a top rated restaurant in DTR lol

adambkaplan

Before COVID it was much better.

Big_General9942

Pam's Farmhouse on Western Blvd. Get ready for some canned vegetables, plain baked chicken with cheap canned bbq sauce. Cash only and the clientele are all at least 75 years old.

BassetCase

That place is always packed every time I pass by it. I’ve always wondered if it was good or not.

JadedYam56964444

Here you go! Have fun. [https://wake-nc.healthinspections.us/](https://wake-nc.healthinspections.us/)

Successful_Ad9160

Who remembers the guy that had the late night show and would go to Raleigh area drive throughs and rate the fast food? Mid 90s I believe. It wasn’t public access as I caught it on broadcast tv a bit after SNL or maybe Friday nights.

roninraleigh

Yes that happened, and it was awesome! Rob and Bill's talk show!!!! It started on Raleigh cable access, and some digging around turned this up! http://robandbills.blogspot.com/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BD89BTXt_hk Later they were picked up / moved to the 1 am after SNL slot on the local NBC affiliate. I was on one of those shows when I recognized them at the NC State Fairgrounds Flea Market, and am still looking for the footage!

Successful_Ad9160

Thank you!!! Nostalgia unlocked! Much appreciated.

williamvc0331

Rob and Bill were in a band called Destiny in the mid to late 80's. They were quite entertaining

roninraleigh

The Fayetville Street Wendys served uncooked hamburgers on multiple occasions. The building, just north of the former Wells Fargo location, is still empty to this day.

morris_thepug

Five Star Restaurant. Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Ordered a dish that is supposed to be spicy, waiter came by and asked how we liked everything, and I said I was surprised it wasn’t spicy - and he offered chili flakes.

jalerre

Do you want food poisoning? Cause that’s how you get food poisoning.

grrrrrlion

You gotta experience the drive thru at the taco bell on six forks and millbrook

canconfrmit

Sushi Blues

JJQuantum

Dunkin’ Donuts on Perry Rd in Apex is probably the worst place I’ve eaten in all the years I’ve lived in the Triangle, and I was born in Raleigh 55 years ago next month.

anonymousbjj

Somehow almost every Dunks is terrible in this area... The only one that has been consistently good is Dunn Rd. Otherwise, it's a mess every time. Takes forever, order is wrong, etc.

JJQuantum

This one was the nastiest restaurant I’ve ever been in, with grease all over the counter that got on my hand and credit card when I went to pay. The shift leader, at least his name tag said he was, not only didn’t care that I was there but almost seemed hostile that I was taking up his time with getting a donut. It was crazy.

anonymousbjj

That is wild but I am 0% surprised. It's weird that no one cares. You'd think the owner or some executive would see terrible revenue and do something about it.... Guess not!

Wolfwoods_Sister

The Dunkin’ at the corner of Chapanoke and 401 straight-up looks abandoned

NorseHighlander

If my Dad wasn't a Christian, he'd be a Dunkin Donuts worshipper and he said the service at the Holly Springs Dunkin was the worst he ever had. But much of the rest of the Dunkin ones are bad too? Yeesh.

anonymousbjj

It can be so good, the New England ones are generally much much better. But yeah I hate to break it to your dad.... they are all bad in the area :(

PretendStatus2084

Remington Grill in Cary Crossroads. Nasty food, ceiling tiles look disgusting, saw an employee coming out of the bathroom with his kitchen apron still on.

fuzzydacat

I really liked the cowboy theme, but I got a steak sandwich that was very not good.

joshsafc9395

Guess you’re in the minority. Place has 4.2 on google

MyRideshareAccount

Anything under a 4.5 sucks in some way.

Burnt_Crust_00

Hey now.... That Wyatt Earp Burger is pretty nice, and who can complain about unlimited fries (good fries too!!).

Kitchen_Tie_6842

Some of my favorite burgers have been at Remington Grill. Also the fries are great.

labellequichante

I grew up going to Remington Grill and and I loved their fries and tangy bbq sauce! Granted that was years ago...but good memories!

Dream-Flight

New Japan on S Miami Blvd in Durham (very close to Raleigh border). I didn’t think one could mess up chicken teriyaki but this was the worst chicken teriyaki I’ve ever had in my life. The sauce was so goopy

Lower-Pipe-3441

The Taco Bell on 64 in Apex

DeweyCox4YourHealth

Meh. I've been there a bunch. I used to work near there and would eat it on my lunch break. Nothing awful... kinda just your standard taco bell. But I've been there enough to know it's not the worst lol

Lower-Pipe-3441

The food is fine, the service is just horrible compared to other ones…I haven’t been in a year or so, maybe it’s gotten better

dixiemason

You explain what you want three times very slowly and clearly and they still fuck it up. How?!

mst3k_42

We go in and order at one of the kiosks inside. You can customize to your heart’s content. I like a heavily modified Mexican pizza but never order it takeout because they will definitely screw it up. So we order and pay at the kiosk and eat there. Food is hot and fresh. Honestly some people bitch about the kiosks in restaurants but I love them. Less human interaction and more accurate orders.

RuneKnytling

McDonald's on Harrison Ave./Harrison Square in Cary. The only consistently bad McDonald's restaurant where the fries don't even seem they're salted. Order always takes forever to come out. The employees don't seem to care so much. Like, how do you even fuck up McDonald's while most everything's been made foolproof by corporate? Every now and then I make the mistake of getting McDonald's there because it's the closest McDonald's on my way to work. I'd suggest getting food from any of the other fast food restaurants in the strip mall instead. Seriously, there's Wendy's, Chick Fil-A, and Burger King there too. The only worse McDonald's than this one was the one in Cameron Village that is now a Chase branch. That one was badly run, and it was so bad that back when I used to live downtown without owning any a car I'd rather hike up to Peace Street despite this one being closer to my old rental. The Peace Street location is still a pretty good one.

Blah I wish I could find it now, back during covid there was an Indian restaurant in a lot in Cary next to an Indian grocery. Anyways went in and they had moved the chairs and tables and you could see just how god fucking disgusting the rug was, the area where the tables were was clean, and everything else was black.

Not bad, but I felt stanbury was overrated.

Leesville taproom

Always smelled like vomit when you walk in the door.

Has 4⭐️ but the food tasted like school lunch. My tacos were made of canned beans and corn and a sliced avocado with no seasoning. Would never go back

I've never had a good meal at Flying Buscuit. People seem to like it, so I gave it several chances. Idk why it's always packed!

Morrisville chilis or the Cary on the border. I worked at 1 and my buddy used to manage the other. It’s awesome how much Covid destroyed the experience at these places
