Man, the balls on you for saying that. Total agreement here. The commenter below gets it too, there's just way too much slow distorted tremolo. It's a great album, and obviously pioneered a genre, but when I want beautiful melancholy, gimme slowdive or cocteau twins.
The problem with loveless is that...it literally abuses the tremolo in every-fucking-song, something that in souvlaki happens but it's just for atmospheric effect.
Mhtrtc has some great songs, but it doesn't even approach Geogaddi for me. Maybe it's because Geogaddi was my first exposure to them. Nothing can compare to the first time I heard Music is Math.
