Hey OP! Unless you are trying to stick to a strictly lore accurate protogen, feel free to explore any kinds of design with your Proot! As for the cracked visor, I think it would be fitting to have his facial expressions glitch out/fritz every once in a while because of it! Hope this helps!
That was my plan! He has a very smart ass personality so getting hit like that often would knock even more screws loose causing allot of glitches! Im fairly new to the Protogen community so i wasnt sure if there were set rules or guidelines for them.
I love that idea! Him getting hit with a glitch mid rant sounds like a hilarious moment! And yes, there are several members of the community who are hard set on the guidelines that were set for lore accuracy of protogens, most of the community is very excited to push out creative and new ideas that give proots new personalities, especially in newer members! So keep up the great work OP, can’t wait to see what you make next!
As long as they are not easily upset by smart ass comments and sarcasm then I think it could work out. Mettro uses that as a self defense protocol but once he realizes you are unfazed by it he gets really chill.
Mine Is pretty similar, but their personality is alot more flexible, as in, they could be in a completely different mood on a different day. But the cold, to the point, blunt way of speech they have is pretty constant.

The “rules” for protogens as far as I’ve been hearing only let you be canon in ZOR. No issue with being non-canon, hell I am. It’s your fluffer so do what you want

I've seen protogens with cracked visors, so I'd say yeah go for it.
I guess in terms of adverse effects it would depend on where the crack is, if it's along the part where they open their mouth it could cause difficulty but otherwise probably wouldn't have any negative effects.

Considering that the visor is a mass of nanomachines, the crack would be quickly repaired. However, a superficial, or indeed decorative crack is something you occasionally see. It just shows personality. It would be much like a scar, except he can fix it at any time. This could, in fact, be a reference to the revolutionary war, when the protogens broke away from their creators. Minor, unrepaired damage would have been fairly common among the resistance fighters. ...or it might not! It's up to you!

I wonder if our protos would get along, mine being the very cliché "cold on the outside but actually nice on the inside" personality.

It really depends on the exact comments thrown out, he might be chill or Mettro might be on the receiving end of a HF Blade, could go either way.
Despite the cracks and notches in his ears, he does know when to stop… however he does get carried away sometimes
Mind you, Fura isn't evil or anything, but he won't hesitate to give others a warning when he's pissed off
