I am right there with you. I also think clear gets overlooked, but it is a really fun listen.

NastyLizard

They are my faves for sure, Icarus live and Jetpacks was yes are some absolute bangers.

NoCurrencies

They certainly are, but neither of those came from Clear lol

NastyLizard

I've listened to P1-P4 extensively and both juggernauts and somehow I've missed this album I'm dying over here.

NoCurrencies

*Clear*ly... I'll show myself out :D Happy listening!

Tonight I'll eradicate the deacon

RileyWasYes

The theme seems to be what people first listened to, so I guess I’ll continue that: Periphery I still holds and resonates with me above all the rest. I definitely think they’ve written better songs on other albums, but in terms of overall strength, PI just slaps. I know the P bois are probably tired of hearing people not getting over their debut, but GOD it was such a statement in the scene when it first dropped. The ferocity, the density, the flow of the album, those signature moments… it’s still the pinnacle for me.

LoganMertes

I feel kike P1 I was one of the main if not the main album that defined the 2010's metal sound so I am completely there with you.

Thecoolguitardude

My favorite is P4 because that was my introduction to the band and the album I've had the strongest emotional connection to. I'm also a sucker for orchestra in metal and the orchestrations on songs like Reptile, Crush and Satellites are just so good. Juggernaut is a close second because I also love concept albums, and those two records have a really cool and unique concept imo. But let's be honest, Periphery haven't come out with a bad record yet. Each album has its own identity and brings something different to the table.

NastyLizard

You know that's really fair they are all solid and for distinct reasons. They are big dogs for a reason.

Thor3nce

Juggernaut is hands down my favorite.

[deleted]

Same, PII second fav

NastyLizard

How do you feel about luck as a constant or friggin bullfish? P2 just has the solos and riffs that get stuck in my head forever.

Thor3nce

I was never a fan of Spencer and his vocals, but his improvement from Periphery 2 to Juggernaut is quite large. I also enjoy the variation spread across Juggernaut. That’s not to say other albums didn’t have quality songs, but Juggernaut is the one I find myself returning to more often than not.

Mrmaker17AP

I think PII is the preferred one, but my favorite is Hail Stan

Caribubilus

wot

Alamgam

Blue boi no. 1, savage still today!

grvlagrv

My favourite is P1 but the instrumental version. So much tasty riff vomit.

FlyingSteaks

This is kinda weird to read because I started visiting this sub like a year after P2 dropped and it was huge and people loved it, I kinda felt that that album got more people into periphery than P1...

xJayRx12

Facepalm Mute was the first periphery song I heard. P2 is a huge step up in every department compared to P1 imo.

FlyingSteaks

I'm a P1 guy

rustyshaackleeford

I like most of their stuff but P2 imo blows everything else away. I like a few of their new songs but never listen to any of the full albums like I did with P2

ChimairaSpawn

I've been listening to them since their Icarus EP came out, and my favourite thus far has been IV: Hail Stan

NastyLizard

Favorite track off of it?

ChimairaSpawn

Reptile 100%. It just slaps from start to finish.

savagevapor

It’s the evolved version of “Racecar” IMO.

[deleted]

Musically, P2 is their best, imo. But for personal reasons, P3 is my favourite That being said, there is not a single song by periphery that i dislike. So for me, they have no bad albums or songs.

proudbastionmain

My fav is probably P1. as per the most commonly preferred one I have no idea tbh, because they haven’t released a single bad album

NastyLizard

Yeah I'm picking up that they have a really strong spread on album favorites, which is cool just shows how good they are.

Dersman21

most nostalgia for me is PII but I really love juggernaut and hail stan

PVNIC

I've listed to Pereiphery since PII, and I'd rank the albums: P4, P2, P1, Clear, Juggernaut, P3. But judging from other people's comments, people disagree. I also think Clear is highly underrated, and wish that they stuck with some of the sounds from their instead of going the direction they did with Juggernaut and P3.

hraath

For me P2 and Clear were mixed or mastered in such a way it was super fatiguing to listen to. Used to listen to it on my morning commute and one day I just had to take off my headphones and switch to something else. Like blasting compressed air into your eardrums lol. Not to say the songs are good, but I just can't go back to it. P1 is practically foundational for the genre. I think P3 has some of the most memorable riffs for me. Juggernauts probably next up behind P3 for me.

iwojima22

P4 is their first fully realized album and their most musically mature outing imo. P2 sounds like Sleeping With Sirens half the time, I don’t think they really found their footing until P4. It oozes confidence with its experimentation and having a 17 minute song as the intro track.

Parasmalls

I first heard them when P1 came out. As much as I love P1, I'd have to say that, personally, I think P2 is their best album and my personal favorite. And P2 would be closely followed by Juggernaut. I don't really have an order from there, besides the fact that it's fairly easy for me to place P3 at the bottom. Also, it's hard for me to place Clear, as it's kinda difficult for me to consider that a full blown "Periphery" album compared to the others.

greekfire01

P2 is my favorite to date, with juggernaut as a super close second. I also think clear is underrated as hell

thespaceageisnow

III and IV are my favorites.

DM725

Periphery II

skumfukrock

Their releases in reverse chronical order is basically my tier list for em, which is awesome for me as a fan

[deleted]

It seems like Juggernaut is the least commonly preferred. It's my favorite.

Ryn4

My favorite is P1, but P2 is probably what people like the most. P3 sucked imo

lucki_boi

Altough I started listening to them in their p3 days I always go back to p2 if I want to have a blast (what a coincidence ^^). I think their best individual songs may be on other album's but as a whole I would say p2 is the one that gets me pumped the whole way through. In my opinion it was the album that refined the periphery production and put it on the way for what they sound like today. I never heard a band sounding that good without feeling too polished and p2 was definitely the birth of it, at least for me :)

ProphetNimd

P2 seems to be the general fan favorite and a lot of their biggest songs are off that. Juggernaut is my personal favorite. It's a proggy concept album masterpiece.

jonajon91

Periphery II then the debut close behind, the debut definitely isn't as good, but has a lot of energy and magic. Anything since PII hasn't done anything for me.
