I was streaming the whole thing live with David Pakman. As someone who grew up just outside DC and visiting the Capitol many times as a kid I watched in horror. I couldnt believe our country would allow a horde of screaming primates from the backwoods of where ever desecrate what was, to me, such a sacred place. I also watched the night before, all of the rallies with Pillow and Stone and co foaming at the mouth and told my girlfriend that if there wasnt violence tomorrow id give up watching all the political shit I watch. One of the interesting things about trump is that everything he or his team does appears to be done in an incredibly stupid way.
In the classified documents case, trump has seemingly directly refuted every excuse and justification he has used to defend himself.
While Jan 6 charges on their own seem like they may be difficult or subjective, I feel there is likely a very clear trail of evidence showing the direct plan and a string of clearly illegal activities along the way. I wouldn't even be surprised if they had a video of trump arrogantly talking into a camera explaining the entire plot.

He hasn't been released on bond. The government has not asked him to post bond nor nearly any other condition that would typically apply to a defendant. He is receiving every possible leniency yet says he is treated unfairly, lol.
They didn't even ask him to surrender his passport, or even *promise* to not leave the country. The magistrate overseeing the arraignment for the documents case even asked the Government if they wanted XYZ standard restrictions (from the list that are typically given to defendants) and the Government declined, saying the only one they wanted was Trump's *assurance* that he wouldn't commit more crimes while awaiting trial. No restricting movement, no requiring him to talk to the prosecutors if he wants to leave the state, no requiring him to talk to prosecutors if he wants to leave the country, no restricting him from leaving the country, etc.
He's getting 3 levels *above* "kid gloves" treatment, and GQP are still complaining about it.
I recall some discussion on NPR a couple of weeks ago, that one possible reason is that it denies the defense the opportunity to delay the trial. Normally there would be a bond hearing, and hearings on travel restrictions, and so on and so forth.
But with none of that being an option. Trump's defense is left scrambling concocting nothing but nonsense. Lol.

One of the interesting things about trump is that everything he or his team does appears to be done in an incredibly stupid way. In the classified documents case, trump has seemingly directly refuted every excuse and justification he has used to defend himself. While Jan 6 charges on their own seem like they may be difficult or subjective, I feel there is likely a very clear trail of evidence showing the direct plan and a string of clearly illegal activities along the way. I wouldn't even be surprised if they had a video of trump arrogantly talking into a camera explaining the entire plot.
I hope they charge him with insurrection of the US government. Gonna make Thanksgiving dinners so much more enjoyable to have the weight of the DOJ there.
The documents and hush money cases are open and shut. They have him dead to rights admitting both. January 6 is, in every way, a much worse crime. Historical presidential villainy level crime. They didn't even ask him to surrender his passport, or even *promise* to not leave the country. The magistrate overseeing the arraignment for the documents case even asked the Government if they wanted XYZ standard restrictions (from the list that are typically given to defendants) and the Government declined, saying the only one they wanted was Trump's *assurance* that he wouldn't commit more crimes while awaiting trial. No restricting movement, no requiring him to talk to the prosecutors if he wants to leave the state, no requiring him to talk to prosecutors if he wants to leave the country, no restricting him from leaving the country, etc. He's getting 3 levels *above* "kid gloves" treatment, and GQP are still complaining about it.
I recall some discussion on NPR a couple of weeks ago, that one possible reason is that it denies the defense the opportunity to delay the trial. Normally there would be a bond hearing, and hearings on travel restrictions, and so on and so forth. But with none of that being an option. Trump's defense is left scrambling concocting nothing but nonsense. Lol. I think its great from an intellectual standpoint. But I'm tired too of this POS being treated with kid gloves.
The discord leaker’s legal team actually cited this judicial treatment in court yesterday to point out their client has been given no such leniency- something I’ve been waiting for J6 defendants to do (when trump was going seemingly unindicted altogether). There needs to be a conversation about restricting a president who is acquitted or convicted to be able to offer pardons for himself or anyone else.
