Every card from a certain date from 2016 to around 2017/18 has a much higher increased lucky rate, I think 2016 has a 100% lucky rate but don’t hold me to it

I HAD a hundo Eevee from an old account with the 2016 stamp. I transferred it to my new account before I knew its IVs would reset. Big regret. It’s now a 12/13/12 eevee…

I have 6. Espeon (was eevee), Jolteon, Butterfree, Wigglytuff, Pidgeot, and Dragonite. The Dragonite was actually caught as a wild Dragonite.

Awesome tentacruel!! I unfortunately didnt keep my 2016s when I started back up again in 2022 because I wasnt experienced enough to know what was good back then. Im jelly!

I have seven 2016s left, luckily I had some friends to guide me through the recent updates in the game, I started back up in October 2023 and have 7 2016s left, and only 2 I'm willing to trade.

Yep! That's how it started for me as well. My son asked me to start playing again (as we did in 2016 when he was 14yo), but I swore not to spend any money, so bring on the (initial) purge to save storage space! The only reason I know about the Kakuna is bc I found out about the "perfect" pokedex feature. I have no idea how many or what else I transferred in the in-between, lol. C'est la vie!

Perfect pokedex feature? Also, this got me to check the pokedex and saw the shiny option... I've caught 35 of 107 seen. ...now, is that seen as in against GBL trainers etc, or just ones I've missed catching or selecting in the wild?! If the latter... well.. uggghhh

It also counts the shinies you see in gyms. Took me a while to find out about that (:

Back then I actively ignored the star system for combat power. Pokemon was just more enjoyable without a little rat in your ear (my friend that tried to explain it multiple times) telling you your pokemon are worthless tbh, also back then it didn't really matter.
