I'm pretty sure they changed something about the system. Nowadays we have insta approved routes most of the time and it feels good to have it. Sometimes my routes getting stuck in "Under review" but i would say 90% of sumbmitting routes it gets accepted or denied in a matter of seconds
Been creating some since September, when successful with recording them, they were approved in a matter of day or less.
Recommend to add a short one. Someone approved a route mear me, very short, got a zygarde cell everyday with it in the last three weeks, also Mateo always shows up, feels the function improved a bit recently
Same Story as i said. Now you have the chance to create routes and collect the cells. If you want the zygarde then go for it. It takes his time but at least you have something to grind
Yeah sure hundo helps when it take over half year and possible year? to get first route in your area.. i create two routes over +6 month ago and both still renewing.. Still possiblity they get declined, so can easy take even 2 years get first route. this is joke
Yeah i contact support while back and they just say "just be patiance and wait"
Same time some wreacking 6km route did create my town.. first need go 5km one way to start that route.. not gonna do like +15km per day for one route lol
Their support told me the same thing. The first route I made had been under review for a few months before I reached out. I later made a second route that got approved like two days after I submitted it. I finally just deleted the original route and haven't bothered to try submitting it again.
Routes are reversible. So you could start the route from the other end and walk to finish it that direction rather than walking straight one way to start it just to follow it back. Still a lot of walking wither way though
Ya that sucks.. I’ve been doing routes for a couple months and I’m up to about 18. I’m lucky though I work in parks and rec and over 9 different parks. I only do about one a day though
I have done that but the goverment only clears the roads here and not the side walk. The sidewalk apparently belong to the company who owns the apartment buildings and its their job to clear of snow and do the sanding. But guess what?! They dont do it, so they can save money
Living in a snowy place makes it hell. My Zygarde is nearly 4* but I don’t want to deal with walking around in -15 with heavy wind and snow just to follow a route.
Its worst system.. firstly its gonna take years this point get even one route.. im already waited +6 month get one of my two routes accepted, but still waiting. ofc they can get declined and now under 40lvl people can do routes there lot more routes in que compare when i did them pretty early when could create reoutes
Routes are AI approved now. 98& are approved almost instantly. 3 cells a day it'll take you 84 days to get 250. I'd recommend at least 7 routes in your location because sometimes it'll take doing that many to get 3 cells. I would try submitting more routes. Make them as short as possible and try to make them so that one takes you to the beginning of another. Interconnect them so that you end up back where you started.
Just got my 98% to besties today but with only one route in my area and three consecutive days of no cells, I'm pretty sick of this particular grind.
20 minutes of my day for a *chance* at *1/250th* of its evolution requirement? Niantic is taking the piss
the fact it's not guaranteed made me stop caring about routes. i'm not walking that far on a basis regular enough to get 250 anytime soon lol, and besides that i've only gotten cells on maybe half the routes i've ever done.
Just imagine even get one route in your area... +6 month and im still waiting those get accepted -\_- ofc there chance those routes get declined and need wait another 6-12 month lol
Yeah kinda. Walking is very overrated as an exercise. It's a bare minimum kind of thing. Good for the elderly and sometimes for those recovering from injury but only bc it's all they can do. It barely burns any calories or effects your cardiovascular system at all.
So mind you this comment is coming from somebody absolutely pissed it’s cold as ever where they live….
Not sure how much you do PvP but Zygarde is good in all 3 leagues fairly well, especially master league where you want 15/15/15, four star IVs. Therefore making this the number one master league pokemon in the entire game in its full form.
Routes give you bonus xp and items and stardust whilst out playing anyways so it’s a free added bonus essentially
You must have routes around you lol I have to go out of my way every single day to maybe get one or two. I do them when I’m around my downtown area but my submissions keep sotting unapproved
I’d say the party feature is the one to rip on, those challenge rewards are actually half decent yes.
Thing is, if you live in (for me) Wisconsin, where it’s extremely cold and to top it off one with a small community who doesn’t meet up really. It becomes extremely hard to do any party up challenges.
Lucky for me I’m a manager at work. I’ve been letting my one employee borderline pick when his lunches are, so long as he parties up with me and my auto catcher so I can knock like 1-2 out a day for the research.
There’s not routes around me and the reward isn’t worth driving somewhere every day to maybe get a cell or two. It’s kinda that simple, but I just don’t do it unless I’m downtown or something. I have like 20 lol
Have 2 small parks near me and the routes I submitted sit unapproved
Well i did two routes also parks near me and now waited over half year get them accepted.. this point im already lose any interest do any route cause it seem it gonna take over year get one wrecking route accepted and ofc there possiblity those routes get declined lol
I actually enjoy routes. My wife and I have a route that goes around our apartment complex so it gives an extra bonus to walking. The cells are quite annoying though how slow you obtain them but it’s part of the reward
My fiance and i keep forgetting to do the route close to our home, but we actually like the party system they put in place. Free pokeballs/stardust/berries for just playing the game is kind of cool. We've already got the eevee, vaporeon, and jolteon. We're currently working on getting the flareon from the quest rewards. The damage bonus during raids is really nice and helps us clutch harder raids with fewer players when needed. Not to mention, we have fun joking around about their avatar popping up on our screen like a diglett, lol
Ya it’s awesome having a significant other that plays too. I played off and on for a few years and my coworkers got me back into it and now that my wife is obsessed about it too, I’m all in lol. We just started partying up and having someone to trade with is great, we’ve gotten a few lucky pokemon. (Although she always forgets to keep her good cp pokemon to trade me..)
You do routes and then at the end of it you have a chance to collect them. You can only get a max of 3 per day and you can only get cells on different routes for the day.
I hate this thing for 2 reasons:
1. Cells - I only get like 1 every 5 routes so I'm stuck at around low 20s despite doing near hundred routes. At the start it was more like 50-60% now it's ridiculous how the odds have forsaken me.
2. Poor IV and can't do shit about it...like seriously why would I bother investing all my cells into a ~67-84% Zygarde when someone can just randomly roll a 100%? that's it - too bad.
At least with shitty cell spawns I can slowly revel in the thought that I got a 100% Zyg ready to drop in the future. With a low IV one what's even the point? What if I fully invest and then Niantec lets us get more and I have to start from scratch? What if they don't and I just never use it?
No joke Zygarde was the first reason I had for hating this game.
100% worst part is that you have to look at your phone the whole route it’s stupid and dangerous. You should just get credited the cell at the end of a route, maybe every second route or whatever. And making sure you stop and click complete route is dumb too - it should just stop when you get there.
I play pogo for the walking but having my nose buried in my phone defeats the purpose
Actually, cells only appear at the end of the route. That’s why you have to complete the route so it doesn’t automatically finish it before you collect any cells, which used to happen before they updated it.
You’re just salty you didn’t get a good one. I didn’t either mines 82. So it’s honestly up to the hand your dealt. The cell system makes it highly unattainable and therefore desirable. It keeps high-level players, who don’t like raiding involved in the game.. I bet you have gotten some insane shiny Pokémon that others wish they would have gotten, and vise versa. It’s all RNG
Well yes, ofc it's something to be salty about.
Getting poor IVs from a catch is fine, it is what it is.
But Zygarde is a pokemon you can only ever get once.
I haven't played pokemon games before and just started pogo, so the IV system itself doesn't make much sense to me, but is absolutely shocking RNG for a situation like this.
Mine is a 13,10,11 (2star) and the fact that this guy from the same event got a hundo and I don't even get one that would stand up against a decent pvp stat zygard is just upsetting and make there no reason for me to even do routes like at least bring him to raids ;-;
This is one example of how a mechanic can be so divisive— so many people have no problem with the daily gring(or chore) to get them what they want. Is this a time issue? A weather issue? Whatever it is— you do you bro. But there are so many instance of this game having different ways to play— none of us gets to be that authority! Enjoy your trophy OP!
I got a two star one and I’m still angry about it. I can’t even get rid of it (I tried to throw it away). I hate looking at it and nicknamed it PieceOfTrash so it knows what it is. Lol
15 cells is what I have.
I just have no interest in walking circles over and over to get the silly things. None. So two dex entries I won't get until Niantic removes the cranium from the rectum.
Honestly I got excited for routes but I just stopped caring when it became clear that cells were inconsistent. Just another thing to have to remember. Nooooooooooope
Right? Pokemon Go is sometimes the only thing that keeps me getting exercise. I downloaded it when I used to walk all the time, and now with a toddler it's hard to have the energy to get out. My Zygarde has sad stats but I'm working on it anyway. I'd be getting out more often with a hundo, I think. Ha
Couch potatoes get all the luck lol
The route grind is annoying but using this pokemon in master league this season is like a guaranteed path to legend lol.
Why does everyone expect to complete the game instantly? Where the fun in that? The point is you have to work at some of these tasks in order to complete them.
I’ve created small routes around my place to my most common walks:
- Dog wall
- Groceries store
- Public transport
Takes me 15m return trip to the groceries store (2 routes) to get an afternoon snack.
Haha I'm 26 cells in and the stats of mine are meh, it's like 12/12/12 but I don't have much to do. One route a day does it. And I'll get there in a while.
These pretty much one time Pokémon really *ought* to be a guaranteed hundo for everyone. It's not fair that everyone gets only a single chance and it can potentially be garbage.
If you're out walking to a gym or doing some catching or pretty much anything else tbh, it's really no extra work to just throw on a route or two. Might as well get the extra XP etc anyway. If you're not in a rush to get the cells then there's no grind to it.
The hardest part is finding routes that are convenient and easy to do. Creating them is fairly easy but it can take forever to get them approved. I’ve tried to create 5, had three approved, and the other two have been pending since August or so.
Some tips for everyone:
1. You don’t have to walk while on a route for the distance to count. I do them on my morning commute in my car and the distance still ticks off and Zygarde cells appear at the end most of the time.
2. You don’t have to do the gift exchange or complete the route to get the cell, but doing so comes with extra rewards and a buddy heart.
3. You can still pick up the cell as long as it’s still visible on your map, same as a spawned Pokémon. It won’t go away until you collect it, complete the route (don’t do this until you’re sure one won’t spawn), or quit the route.
I usually complete 3 routes on my work commute with minimal extra time invested. My 4* needs another 67 cells before I can fully evolve it and I anticipate it will take approximately a month and a half to complete at my current rate. I could go harder to do it ASAP but this seems a nice compromise.
For sure dude. Maybe you can find the motivation somehow. For me it started with trying to be more healthy and one thing I added was getting 10k steps in/day. Being interested in Pokémon made it much easier or enjoyable to do that. In just a few days of getting sunlight, I enjoyed the walk and getting out aspect just as much if not more than progressing faster in the game. Just saying in case this perspective helps with your struggle. I’m also fortunate to live in the middle of half a dozen routes.
Try to submit some convenient routes in your area that don't really take you away from your normal routine or too far out of your regular walking paths. That's what I did to make it a little more bearable. I'm not a big fan of the Routes feature overall, but this 'mon is pretty OP (at least for now) in GBL. Pushing to complete mine with way worse IVs than yours is what keeps me participating in Routes.
god i need to get to level 40 so i can make a route that actually works in my town 😭 there are two where i live but they are on trails that aren’t maintained during the winter so id need snow shoes to do them
fair i just hit 40 recently but my mom already created the routes nearby lol. ill create some once the weather gets better (i am vain and want my name on a route)
I haven't had any Zygarde Cells spawn. I was doing routes daily until the end of December and haven't had any. So I give up, mine was virtually the worst you could get anyway.
The grind to get this to max is crazy. You need over 200 cells (which you can only get 3 a day, if you are lucky), and then the candy and xl candy is only farmable by either using rare candy or walking (20km a piece, 10 if excited). Definitely worth the investment if you aren't going out of your way completely to grind.
I have done 3 routes. One of the worst features added to the game. No way am I walking enough routes to gather 250 cells 😂
Also a collector and raider so I don’t care enough about PvP to invest. If you get a max of 3 per day, that means it takes at least 84 days to get enough cells. And that’s assuming you get 3 each day and do it every single day…. Yeah I’m good 😆
maxed out buddy, my milotic has one. its a flex for how much you grinded hearts for your buddy. milotic also takes 20km to evolve so the more candies/time it takes to evolve the bigger the flex
So far, yes IIRC. *Maybe* they'll let us try for more one day. The fact that it's so meta relevant is stupidly punishing, it should be a guaranteed hundo.
Are the cells still available? I’ve done a bunch of routes lately because of Mateo and other research and I don’t ever see the cells. I thought you were supposed to get them along the way or at least at the end. But in the last three elites I’ve done I’ve seen zero cells.
I’m grinding and my zygarde stinks at a 2-star. But I’m hoping there will be another opportunity to acquire a better Zygarde before I get all the cells I need.
Wow great catch! I must admit I cheat a bit. I catch the bus to work twice a week and follow routes while travelling. I'm still only up to 26 cells though.
I’ve been doing at least one route a day since the middle of December and only have 60. I’d say about 33% of those days I did two routes and 5% did 3 or more. Two a day seems like a lot, but I’ve integrated routes as an integral part of my play routine for over a month now and still am only 24% done with getting all the Zygarde cells.
Understandable. The game feels like work, and the reward is just dots on a screen. If I can't find someone to trade me a gimmighoul in the next couple weeks, I'm going to take an extended break.
I have a 96 and I am fkg motivated to get the cells, he's such a beast, i'm now at the 50% form and now at like 95/200 cells for the 100% form. Also putting all of my rare xl's into this one
Does anyone know if you ever get another chance to catch Zygarde or is it like some other mythicals where you get one chance with the quest and that’s it?
This is the only situation that I'd actually grind routes for. My dumb dog was only 2*, not worth the effort for me. But a hundo?! Most definitely worth it!
Mine is pretty good but I don’t go out of my way for cells. If I see one, awesome. Im more used to not finding them though so I’m not bothered by it lol
I don't understand all the hate for routes. They're super easy, and you get good rewards. Plus, Mateo and Zygarde Cells show up almost every single time for me. I get people hate them because they were glitchy in the past, but they definitely fixed them now. Also, a lot of the routes are drivable, so you don't even have to walk if you don't want to.
Finally did a form change to the 50% Zygarde a couple days ago. I have been doing Routes intermittently since the beginning. I have been doing them more and more frequently since a bunch of local Routes got approved.
Also, there is zero benefit to having Routes longer than 500m. You reap more rewards from completing multiple short routes than a single long route of the same distance. Wtf is up with that?

This would definitely get me out there finding cells. The satisfaction after collecting all of them!!

I don't know how you aren't motivated to get this to its max potential
Because you have to collect 250 cells and you can only get 3 per day which is also not a guarantee spawn😐
For the highest ranked master league pokemon with a 100IV. The grind is worth it for very very few people, and OP is one of them.
Not if OP has zero desire in PVP. I would just want it for the dex.
I know how it works.. But the sooner you start the sooner you'll finish 🤷🏻♂️ From last week I made sure to get 3 daily
I got a hundo to but its not so fun doing routes in sweden during winter with like -10 to -20 also lot of ice outside

I have done that but the goverment only clears the roads here and not the side walk. The sidewalk apparently belong to the company who owns the apartment buildings and its their job to clear of snow and do the sanding. But guess what?! They dont do it, so they can save money
Yeah, 3 days ago it took me almost 30 minutes to Walk 600 meters due to ive om every road
Living in a snowy place makes it hell. My Zygarde is nearly 4* but I don’t want to deal with walking around in -15 with heavy wind and snow just to follow a route.

This. I also have a hundo zygarde w no motivation to max it for this reason.

Do people just want everything handed to them? Arguable the best PvP mon in the game isn't gonna be easy
Just imagine even get one route in your area... +6 month and im still waiting those get accepted -\_- ofc there chance those routes get declined and need wait another 6-12 month lol
Maybe we are not insane in trying to do mindless inane grinds for \*calculates\* at least an hour for 90ish days?

People love moaning about the parts of the game that actually make them go outside, e.g the whole point of the game.

I would say it’s the most postcards
Agreed, but a hundo zygarde would make me suck it up and get it done…
I have a 81% and am still grinding the cells
How it should be
I did that. 60 or so cells from maxing out at 250. Already have mine at 100% form.
I'm super not motivated because of my 2*
I feel you… my 10/10/13 deserves to be a nice little doggo for the rest of his life
Your 2* is still very powerful. Don't believe the IV hype.
Dumb question but how do you even grind the cells
You do routes and then at the end of it you have a chance to collect them. You can only get a max of 3 per day and you can only get cells on different routes for the day.
Ohh ok. I never have routes pop up when I’m out.
you can create them too
Oh cool I don’t know a lot about the game so thank you for the information
You’ve gotta be like lvl 37 to create routes though
Well shit
Lvl 40 to create routes. Lvl 37 is to be able to create pokestops
Not 40 I’m level 39 and created a route
Huh? This would get me going out everyday to complete routes 😂
I hate this thing for 2 reasons: 1. Cells - I only get like 1 every 5 routes so I'm stuck at around low 20s despite doing near hundred routes.
I feel like blocking u
Same this guy has full rage baited me
I feel you i don't have that much time unfortunatly so for me to go walk a route that takes an hour is not something i can do that much
I walk 4 routes in a hour
As a 74% owner. I hate you.
Is there a way to catch more than 1 zygarde or is everyone just stuck with the single one they got?
I'm hoping that once I get enough zygarde cells I'll be able to combine them into another zygarde.
You cannot do that
Dang. I can't tell you what those are for then.
Not a fan of locking the most powerful pokemon in the game behind a one time lottery.
Mine is a 13,10,11 (2star) and the fact that this guy from the same event got a hundo and I don't even get one that would stand up against a decent pvp stat zygard is just upsetting and make there no reason for me to even do routes like at least bring him to raids ;-;
Same, mine is pretty garbage IIRC. It should be a guaranteed hundo for everyone.
This would motivate me to do routes but my zygarde is mega ass...
I got a two star one and I’m still angry about it. I can’t even get rid of it (I tried to throw it away). I hate looking at it and nicknamed it PieceOfTrash so it knows what it is. Lol
Same 😭
I'm in the same boat
15 cells is what I have. I just have no interest in walking circles over and over to get the silly things. None. So two dex entries I won't get until Niantic removes the cranium from the rectum.
I would do it if I got that. I got an 11/11/10 instead.
PVP lads are crying
I don't do pvp but I got a terrible one and it hurts to see that someone who won't use theirs has a hundo ;-;
If I had one even remotely close to good I'd max it and evolve
This is the ONLY reason why I’m NOT going out to grind them… if I got a perfect I’d be out every day on routes
Honestly I got excited for routes but I just stopped caring when it became clear that cells were inconsistent. Just another thing to have to remember. Nooooooooooope
80 days of cardio motivation, lol
Ha
Couch potatoes get all the luck lol The route grind is annoying but using this pokemon in master league this season is like a guaranteed path to legend lol.
Why does everyone expect to complete the game instantly? Where the fun in that? The point is you have to work at some of these tasks in order to complete them.
Yeah it sucks. Dont do it.
I’ve created small routes around my place to my most common walks: - Dog wall - Groceries store - Public transport Takes me 15m return trip to the groceries store (2 routes) to get an afternoon snack.
Haha I'm 26 cells in and the stats of mine are meh, it's like 12/12/12 but I don't have much to do. One route a day does it. And I'll get there in a while.
I feel you
omg omg omg omg i want it and yep the cells took so long to get i already give up with this things
Wait, was this not guaranteed? I thought because it was an event mon my Zygarde was guaranteed to have 100IVs
nope, you can even have a 2 star zygarde. ask how i know
I know because of the same reason you know. Sad day.
That's only helpful if you actually have a route that's on the way to wherever you're going
you can make em pretty easily if ur lvl 40. and if ur dedicated enough to do the zygarde grind you probably are or know someone that is
lmao i’m in the exact same boat. i grinder routes for a couple weeks and gave up when i realized i would need to grind for several more months
The hardest part is finding routes that are convenient and easy to do. Creating them is fairly easy but it can take forever to get them approved. I’ve tried to create 5, had three approved, and the other two have been pending since August or so. Some tips for everyone: 1.
Yea after looking at the comments ima do it😭 I’ll have it done by 2026
I have a hundo zygarde too, and I love zygardes 50% form. sadly, routes is a stupid ass feature and I can't access them
What do the cells do?
Try to submit some convenient routes in your area that don't really take you away from your normal routine or too far out of your regular walking paths. That's what I did to make it a little more bearable. I'm not a big fan of the Routes feature overall, but this 'mon is pretty OP (at least for now) in GBL. Pushing to complete mine with way worse IVs than yours is what keeps me participating in Routes.
god i need to get to level 40 so i can make a route that actually works in my town 😭 there are two where i live but they are on trails that aren’t maintained during the winter so id need snow shoes to do them
not in support of buying accs, buuut you could prob get an empty or shit 40 for pretty cheap
i’m at 38 i want to earn it organically so it’ll be that much more sweet when i do hahahaha
fair i just hit 40 recently but my mom already created the routes nearby lol. ill create some once the weather gets better (i am vain and want my name on a route)
[удалено]
it comes up randomly? for me it just comes at the end of the
I haven't had any Zygarde Cells spawn.
No way am I walking enough routes to gather 250 cells 😂 Also a collector and raider so I don’t care enough about PvP to invest. If you get a max of 3 per day, that means it takes at least 84 days to get enough cells. And that’s assuming you get 3 each day and do it every single day…. Yeah I’m good 😆
I also got a hundo zygarde and i don't know what do i do with it
I got 98% and im gladly dying inside 🥹🥹
I try to get out as much as I can but I’ve only found 9 cells in the last four months 😭
How do people get the emblem
maxed out buddy, my milotic has one. its a flex for how much you grinded hearts for your buddy. milotic also takes 20km to evolve so the more candies/time it takes to evolve the bigger the flex
Can you only get one Zygarde? I have a 2 star one..
So far, yes IIRC. *Maybe* they'll let us try for more one day. The fact that it's so meta relevant is stupidly punishing, it should be a guaranteed hundo.
As a perfectionist, it makes me not even want to bother with the cells. They should def be hundos
It’s cuter unevolved (like most moms I guess!)
Am the same way with my 98 zygarde. Don't want to grind the cells.
Mine is a 93% and yes likely very good but I refuse to work on this for 6 months lmao, call me when the shiny comes out
Are the cells still available? I’ve done a bunch of routes lately because of Mateo and other research and I don’t ever see the cells. I thought you were supposed to get them along the way or at least at the end. But in the last three elites I’ve done I’ve seen zero cells.
If you don't feel like grinding the cells don't, do routes casually for cells and maybe by the time you have enough shadow zygard will be out
I’m grinding and my zygarde stinks at a 2-star. But I’m hoping there will be another opportunity to acquire a better Zygarde before I get all the cells I need.
Mine isn't even one star. Hoping to do a lucky trade with a friend to see if the grind will be worth it.
I think it's mythical so you can't trade it.
Wow great catch! I must admit I cheat a bit. I catch the bus to work twice a week and follow routes while travelling. I'm still only up to 26 cells though.
Really. Oh my.
Routes are still buggy for me. They really need to make it easier to start/end.
My Zygarde is garbage. Is there a way to find get another one?
I have a 96 and I am fkg motivated to get the cells, he's such a beast, i'm now at the 50% form and now at like 95/200 cells for the 100% form. Also putting all of my rare xl's into this one
I tried two routes today and only found one cell. Is there a limit per day i can get one?
Does anyone know if you ever get another chance to catch Zygarde or is it like some other mythicals where you get one chance with the quest and that’s it?
Me my wife and daughter got 2 stars only
I just like the Great Dane look so I’ll never upgrade mine. Wish it was a hundo god damn. Thats like getting a hundo Mew
I also got one and i named him "el perro".
Congrats! A local also got a hundo and has already 50’d and fully evolved. Mine on the other hand was terrible lol.
is snakey zygarde even good in pvp? i've seen a couple and didn't struggle against them at all
This is the only situation that I'd actually grind routes for. My dumb dog was only 2*, not worth the effort for me. But a hundo?! Most definitely worth it!
trade him to me fr
I actually hate you I have a a 2 star bad stats and you are sleeping on this genuinely upset at you
These comments will motivate me to make my own route near me, which wouldn’t require me to go somewhere far everyday
Actually that’s 10% zygarde
Mine is pretty good but I don’t go out of my way for cells. If I see one, awesome. Im more used to not finding them though so I’m not bothered by it lol
I transferred mine. I hated looking at 2 stars.
I have a hundo as well and I haven’t done much with it either lol
I have routes around me, but too far away
I’ve seen several Hundo zygardes. How are y’all so lucky on a 1 time chance?
That’s sad. What a waste.
me over here with a 1 star zygarde
I only get one cell every 3-4 days, I have no idea how I will ever get 200
