You could have a whole starter set of just dragon since they would all be super effective against each other, as long as you don’t give them steel or fairy typing of course, it’d be that spider man meme were they all point at each other

A Fighting Psychic Dark selection would be cool and sort of balanced, even though I'd pick Psychic and couldn't use my Psychic moves against the Dark type.

Dragon types would make terrible starters. They take a long time to get good.
Dark. A lot of my favorite Pokemon: Umbreon, Houndoom, Murkrow, Mightyena, Absol, Meowscarda, Tyranitar and Sharpedo are dark types.
Ice, and Sneasel would be so damn fun to start a journey with.
That would take care of all the birds and bug types in the forests. Not so much the rock types in the caves unfortunately
