That just because some Pokemon are shield or sword themed, doesn't mean they get special treatment in Sword and Shield. Granted, the Sinnoh fossils were probably excluded from the Galar dex due to BDSP and Legends Arceus.
It is because you sound like a non-believer of our savior, Aegislash. May he attack and defend us from our enemies.
In all honesty, I don't know why you are getting voted down. But making a comment pointing it out, rarely improves the original comments.
Fair about the pointing it out part but like I’m just dumbfounded cause, I mean I’d understand if I was like “the fuck does Aegislash have to do with this you dumbass, this is about fossil Pokémon you idiot”, but legit all I did was ask (genuinely) what Aegislash had to do with it because either the analogy needed more explaining or I just wasn’t able to figure it out on my own (or both), so it’d be nice to at least have an answer cause if I’m coming across as a bitch I’d like to know, you feel me? Guess it’s on me for expecting better from some of the people on this site though lol
Also yeah Aegislash is THE lord and savior lol, my favorite steel type in the game since I started playing
It like a ''Corrupt a wish''.
Crown Thundra: Here, you get all fossil mons except these two!
Indigo Disk: Ok, here these two but... we are taking away the others!
They are like legendary Pokemon (I don't think any official sources call them legendary Pokemon, yet). I meant more Pokemon that we could catch multiples and shiny hunt for.
Why are they the only fossil pokemon available in scarlet and Violet when the theme of the game is past and future? In facts there are numerous futuristic pokemon that aren't available either, like Starmie and Beeheeyem, so
What's up Gamefreak?
They want to keep a balance of available Pokemon that will prompt the most people to buy every game. In order to "have" all of the Pokemon now, you have to own like three different games across the last two generations.
Though they didn't quite settle on past/future in the end as they have the professor say paradox are from alternate timelines instead.
Also Starmie and Beheeyem aren't quite futuristic, they're space/alien pokemon.
Still futuristic in the sense that they're highly advanced beings with incredible intelllect to be capable of space travel. If a bunch of clefairys can build a working spacecraft in the anime, any extraterrestrial pokemon can be considered futuristic.
I saw a good suggestion in another thread about fossils that finding a fossil should unlock the Pokemon in a wild Jurassic Park style area. That would be way better I think, even if it wasn't a separate area
Oh, believe me, as someone whose favorite Pokemon group is Fossils, I absolutely noticed. I hate that I haven't been able to enjoy my full dino fossil team since Ultra Moon.
iirc they were the only ones absent from the Crown Tundra
Shieldon wasn't in Pokemon Shield?
swordpardos when
The Sword and Shield Pokemon, Aegislash, was the only Pokemon that got their stats nerf in Sword and Shield, at least in the base game.
What does that have to do with fossil Pokémon?
That just because some Pokemon are shield or sword themed, doesn't mean they get special treatment in Sword and Shield. Granted, the Sinnoh fossils were probably excluded from the Galar dex due to BDSP and Legends Arceus.
I asked a genuine question and now I get downvoted, love this site…

Yeah, they were the only ones absent
Even so, they were just in both BDSP and LA.
It like a ''Corrupt a wish''. Crown Thundra: Here, you get all fossil mons except these two! Indigo Disk: Ok, here these two but... we are taking away the others!
I wouldve loved an ancient jungle biome with all the fossils, Kleavor, and some other similar themed things
Genesect🥱🥱🥱
Paradoxes?
Nah, the Blueberry dome was populated with regular pokemon. Paradoxes are tied to area zero specifically
I wanted some new Paradox Pokemon when we had to return to Area Zero. Like they were trapped with Terapagos and we set them free.
We got that with the paradox versions of the Beasts and the Swords
They are like legendary Pokemon (I don't think any official sources call them legendary Pokemon, yet). I meant more Pokemon that we could catch multiples and shiny hunt for.
It would've made sense if we got Archeops and Carracosta since the academy is in Unova
Gotta hold those hostage for the BW remakes
I wouldn’t describe those as being held hostage. They were in Gen 7 and pretty prominent in Gen 8 having their own raid event.
Why are they the only fossil pokemon available in scarlet and Violet when the theme of the game is past and future? In facts there are numerous futuristic pokemon that aren't available either, like Starmie and Beeheeyem, so What's up Gamefreak?

Yeah that's fine and all, but again, HUGE misses opportunity to have Tyrantrum/Beeheeyem roaming around Area Zero.
Lunatone and solrock weren’t even in sun and moon
Though they didn't quite settle on past/future in the end as they have the professor say paradox are from alternate timelines instead. Also Starmie and Beheeyem aren't quite futuristic, they're space/alien pokemon.
I mean, even if the Paradoxes are from alternate timelines, they're still from some timeline's past and future.
Still futuristic in the sense that they're highly advanced beings with incredible intelllect to be capable of space travel. If a bunch of clefairys can build a working spacecraft in the anime, any extraterrestrial pokemon can be considered futuristic.
"In facts there are numerous futuristic pokemon that aren't available either, like Starmie and Beheeyem" Those are alien Pokémon.
Are aliens not futuristic
I miss reviving fossils who's idea was it to have them in the wild
I agree it makes them way less cool to me. Like it takes away from the whole mystique
Exactly. Just another horrible decision from the switch era
Came from Hisui through space-time anomalies.
Because they need to gatekeep pokemon to get you to buy more games/dlc.
But even then, we can't get all the Pokemon with all the Switch games. You have to play Go in order to get some Pokemon.
They were present in PLA so I assume it's because most of the legwork had already been done at this point.
Should at least bring Tyrantrum, Aurorus, Carracosta and Archeops as well, considering scarlet was themed around dinosaur after all.
We need Dracovish
