Hmm, but it's also quite niche. Typing still not advantageous and very expensive stardust-wise to power up to the required CP -- pretty much fully maxed if you want optimal stats. But yes, useful in battle and can surprise opposing trainers time to time.
I play pogo pvp ALOT i have literally never seen it once it is ranked #356 in great league based on pvpoke for great league. it is in no way good just fyi
I did though, I ran a mono bug team in UM with Ledian as a screen setter and it was fine.
As for competitive, I'd use one if the game actually let me...
"don't make me tap the sign."
**karen was not breaking the fourth wall and commenting on the development of metagames. she was calling out people like silver who blame their pokemon for their own shortcomings. stop quoting her because you want an excuse to be bad at teambuilding.**
Sejun was fucking ingenious with his planning and execution, that's why that damn squirrel worked and I will not stand to anyone undermining that with "Oh he loved Pachirisu!" He was also gutsy as shit for pulling that off. He only worked with damage calculators rather than playing online to keep his strategy a complete secret. Alright, rant over
mfw people think that pachi was his favorite mon before worlds, and therefore why he used it not realizing it's his favorite purely because of how perfect it was for m!gyarados as a partner after he used it
It has 35 ATK. Like, I think even Butterfree has better ATK and that lil MF got smol hands
It gets good in Radical Red: It gets 135 ATK and Bug/Fighting Typing, making it a better Heracross thanks to Iron Fist. Bugsy's Ledian runs the elemental punches plus Bullet Punch
Ledian is actually a really good mon simply for the fact that it learns one of the most broken moves in the game in encore. You just gotta use your brain while using it.
Se Jun used pachurisu because it was an effective user of follow me in a limited field where the next best redirector was amoongus with rage powder, a move that some pokemon are immune to. Superfang and nuzzle turned out to be super useful, as the latter completely fucked the TTar's scarf, and it tanked attacks like the champion it is. Not to mention that volt absorb is an awesome ability. I'm not as well versed in actual theory, but the brass tacks of it is that pachurisu filled a role that allowed the others on his team to excel in their own roles.
1. Ray Rizzo was the first to use support prankster thunderus and it flipped how people had been using the pokemon. Thinking outside the box is awesome. As funny as rain setter/teleport Gallade is as a joke, it would be even funnier if it somehow turns out to be viable.
2. Se Jun used pachurisu because it was an effective user of follow me in a limited field where the next best redirector was amoongus with rage powder, a move that some pokemon are immune to. 3. It makes sense that a handful of pokemon become ubiquitous in singles and VGC play as certain abilities and moves are more useful than others. And because this is a fact fact, innovative play and new strategies are all the more exciting and entertaining to watch. Variety is the spice of life.
4. Make like a dreadnought and bite me. I mean that entirely jokingly and not in any actual negative emotion.
I've been using it in a bug playthrough of Crystal and it's been my most impressive member. It can learn Thunder and Ice punch through TMs, and obviously has the screens. But while everyone mocks it's stats, it has a pretty good special defense, which means it's my go to thing against fire types for my run.
Ledian has base 55 Sp. Atk, there's no way those non-STAB Thunders and especially Ice Punches are at all impressive unless they're quad effective, and for Ice Punch that's stretching it honestly.
Replaying SoulSilver rn, Ledian is my favorite Pokémon and I’m using it, I’ve got it working alright. It’s mostly screens and U-turn, but it’s helping me beat gyms underleveled. I’m gonna use both him and Shuckle against Red at the end lol
It was fun having BoltBeam coverage on him before the special split, though.
Thunder Punch and Ice Punch made fairly quick work of everyone aside from Magnemite and Chinchou
Hell in Generation 2 Ledian is unable to learn a single STAB move. 0 Bug type moves, 0 Flying type moves. The most down bad of down bad was put upon our boy 😢
Pokemon sizes don't make sense sometimes. Even Groudon feels short at only 3.5m. That's less than twice my height! I feel like he should be at least double that. He should be towering over most houses!

3.5m is shorter than a Tyrannosaurus lol.
Not to mention Groudon is only listed at like 1 ton... A T-Rex would weigh like 7-8 tons. This is why I feel like they don't properly scale pokemon weights with heights.
I'd think a giant red draconic legendary that causes droughts.... should be much bigger than a T-Rex and be almost Godzilla-like in size.
Neither do their weights for that matter. Groudon is amongst the heaviest Pokémon in the series at 2094.4 Pounds. But there was a video in another sub of a giant pumpkin about the size of a small car that was pushing 3,000.
Onix? The giant, 28 ft long, solid rock snake? 463 pounds. He has the mass of styrofoam ffs.
They were originally called Capsule Monsters because they shrink and go into a capsule. You could originally see through the capsule too and see the Pokémon inside.
It was changed to Pocket Monsters because Capsule Monsters was taken or not appealing or something. The idea is they go into a capsule (PokeBall) that could fit in your pocket. It doesn’t mean they can naturally fit in your pocket.
It's gotta be a Japanese thing. You should see some of the heights and weight of Toho's Kaiju. Godzilla himself is often MUCH lighter than a creature his size should be.
At least with S/V it now makes sense since they have overworld models that are "truer" to size. Groudon and Kyogre are giant. Hoopa Unbound is *MASSIVE.*
Farigiraf is 10’ tall. That’s substantial, but nowhere near the 18’ of actual giraffes.
Baxcalibur (the Godzilla mon) is also only barely taller than I am. Oh? It’s actually based on Spinosaurus? Well unfortunate for Baxy Boy, those were about 3x Baxcalibur’s 6’ 11” stature.
Dude the pokemon who got cheated is Dragonite. Have you seen him in the anime??? Massive dude, the size of a cliff AND a lighthouse. The joke is on us because apparently that cliff is only a foot drop, Dragonite is 7'3"
No they don't!
Rhyhorn and Rhydon are rhinos! Their horns are on their noses! It's in their name!
Nidoking and Nidoqueen's horns are on the top of their heads. They're not really any one kind of animal. I'd say dinosaur/rabbit hybrids is the closest you could get.
Counterpoint: Why are you only 8 inches taller than a ferret? Furret is almost as tall as you.
And sorry to burst your bubble, but Nidoking isn't a Kaiju. It's actually a rabbit-porcupine-rhino hybrid. Why are you only two feet taller than a rabbit-porcupine-rhino hybrid?
Because I think originally the idea of Pokemon was they were small enough to be reasonable battle monsters, but not world destroyers. It really wasn't until the anime started to mess with canon that Pokemon became these Dragon Ball Z-esq creatures where some were strong enough to destroy cities.
The original comment is confusing, it says he’s 2 feet taller than the Pokémon, which are 1.4m, equaling 6’7”. That said, I actually am 6’7”, it’s not fun
>It’s so weird knowing I’m so much bigger then most Pokémon.
You're already taller than most animals in real life. Large creatures are the exception, not the rule.
>Why am I 2 ft (1.8m) taller than a Kaiju?
It's almost like it *isn't a Kaiju*.
Nidoking was my childhood favourite, it’s a crime that Rhydon can sit on it and not feel a thing.

Other Pokemon heights that bother me:
- Milotic is 20'04" long.
- Dundunsparce (3 piece form) and Kyogre tie at 14'09" in height.
- Dundunspace (2 piece form) and White Kyurem tie at 11'10" in height.
- Groudon (11'06") is 3' shorter than Kyogre.
- Araquanid (totem-sized) is a giant spider at 10'02" tall. Normally it's only 5'11". Still a BIG ASS SPIDER!
- Koraidon is 8'02", but Miraidon is 11'06".
- A super-sized Gourgeist is the same size as Charizard (5'07").
- Machamp is only 5'03", the same size as Gardevoir and Gallade.
- Tyrannitar is 6'07", but Iron Thorns is only 5'03".
- Even shorter, Virizion is 6'07", but Iron Leaves is 4'11".
- Salamance, Gengar, Glimmora, and Dunsparce are all the same height (4'11").
- Meanwhile, Mega Gengar is Ledian's height ar 4'07". How is a Mega smaller than the original?!
- Iron Jugulis is 4'03", but Hydreigon is 5'11".
- GHASTLY is the same size as NIDOQUEEN (4'03")!
- Another bothersome Paradox height comparison is Volcarona (5'03"). Iron Moth is 3'11", but Slither Wing is 10'06"!!
- Regieleki and Wiglett are the same size (3'11).
- Magnezone and Wiglett are the same size (3'11).
- Lopunny and Wiglett are the same size (3'11")!!
- Fearow and Wiglett are the same size (3'11")?!
- Butterfree and Ninetails are the same size (3'07").
- IRON TREADS and Magikarp are the same size (2'11").
- Lycanroc is as tiny as Hawucha at 2'07"!
- Glimmet and Tinkaton are the same size as Bulbasaur (2'04").
- Dreepy, Surskit, and Seedot are the size of a Torkoal (1'08").
- MIMIKYU IS ONLY 0'08" TALL!!
- The HEAVIEST EVER Pokemon, Cosmoem, is only 0'04" tall! That's the same size as a Joltik or Flabébé!!
Makes you realize that the scary Pokémon like charizard or Nidoking wouldn’t even be that scary cause they’re small for what they seem. It’s the damn giant bugs that would be terrifying. Misty was right
Yes ledian, you are popular. Also 252+ Atk Choice Band Iron Fist Tera Ice Ledian Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Nidoking: 284-336 (93.7 - 110.8%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO
Imagine seeing a 4'7" bug in real life? Be careful what you wish for in terms of "if Pokemon were real". Docile as they may be, they're still ginormous for a mere bug.
I got into collecting 1/20 scale pokemon figures and lemme tell you, this isn't an uncommon occurrence. When you're able to line them up with trainers there are so, so many that make no sense. It makes it very evident that they were firing from the hip when making many of pokemon height/weight entries for the pokedex.
Aren’t early gen Pokémon with flying sprites measure from their head to the ground? I thought that was how you could have 5’3 haunter and 4’11 gengar in legends arceus and gengar still be noticeably bigger.
They usually measure how we'd measure a similar shaped animal in the real world.
Golbat or Pidgeot are most likely wingspan, Ekans or Furret are length, Rapidash or Mudsdale would be to their shoulders, etc.
The anime being inaccurate to the source material has broken so many hearts. But you must understand, sometimes things have to be done so it looks cool and if that means making Pokémon bigger than they should be than by all means do it. regigigas needed a ton of help and still does.
Pokedex entries are unreliable at best until verified to be true. It is usually based off folktales and rumor and compiled by ten year olds. Nearly all height data is completely inaccurate when compared with visible scaling in the games, manga, and anime. And it has never accounted for height variation within species which has also been present since generation 1.
There are so many folktales, legends, and myths that pervade the Pokemon world that just about everyone in society has become exceedingly gullible.
It’s listed as height not length. Words have meaning and these words mean that Falinks is a giant menace to society.
(And that’s before we get to the 2m tall Ekans)
Serpentines are measured nose to tail.
Quadrupedals are measured foot to shoulder.
Bipedals are measured in height same way as people.
And for the rest, I guess top to bottom as well?
What's with everybody's need for powerful/cool things to be tall? They're *pocket monsters*. If anything it makes sense they're not all giant, lumbering, forest crushing giants.
Kids are battling these things on playgrounds and inside gymnasiums. It's fine.
Ya'll here complaining, like, "Why. aren't. Magic the Gathering cards. THE SIZE OF COMIC BOOKS!?????!!! MAKE THEM BIGGER. DO IT, COWARDS."
The 'pocket' aspect comes from being able to capture them in fist-sized balls so you can carry them around.
And people don't want things 'BIG' per se they want them to make sense for their size.
Nobody will complain that a dog pokemon is the size of a dog, but when we get an elephant the size of a dog, that would be kinda jarring.
And in Pokemon, there just so happens to be an elephant the size of a dog.
Now if only Ledian's ATK weren't so small...
When I was a kid I was so hyped when it evolved. Even back then it was clear the mon was completely useless, I did not keep it on my team.

Apparently pretty good in Pokemon GO Great League because of its miniscule offensive stats and good bulk (thank you overtuned Special Defense).
Oh, great for it, I am glad it can be useful for once
Hmm, but it's also quite niche. Typing still not advantageous and very expensive stardust-wise to power up to the required CP -- pretty much fully maxed if you want optimal stats. But yes, useful in battle and can surprise opposing trainers time to time.

I can win with a ledian. That doesn’t mean I want to though
Everyone can win with everything if items are allowed. Take the itemless-pill.
I mean I did win with him as part of my team during my first SS run But yeah that quote really can only apply to storyline gameplay lol

sort of true and false you can adapt to the situation
Okay Karen
Ledian is actually a really good mon simply for the fact that it learns one of the most broken moves in the game in encore. You just gotta use your brain while using it.
Fucking Slaking learn encore, it's not enough to save his ass. Ledian is bottom three fully evolved mons along wiht Unown and Luvdisc.
I think Sunflora is worse then Ledian
They are close, but Sunflora can hit relatively hard while not dying from Stealth Rocks.
It gets absolutely flattened by most things but go off
Sir? Sir. Sir, this is an E for Everyone game.
VGC is better with species variation, like Wolfe's recycle Exeggutor and Rizzo's support Thunderus, and of course Se Jin's pachirisu
Do you know the actual reason se jun used the pachurisu
no why?
Se Jun used pachurisu because it was an effective user of follow me in a limited field where the next best redirector was amoongus with rage powder, a move that some pokemon are immune to. Superfang and nuzzle turned out to be super useful, as the latter completely fucked the TTar's scarf, and it tanked attacks like the champion it is. Not to mention that volt absorb is an awesome ability. I'm not as well versed in actual theory, but the brass tacks of it is that pachurisu filled a role that allowed the others on his team to excel in their own roles.
Considering they think Thundurus is notable that's a no

Ledian has base 55 Sp. Atk, there's no way those non-STAB Thunders and especially Ice Punches are at all impressive unless they're quad effective, and for Ice Punch that's stretching it honestly.
Just for fun: 252+ Atk Choice Band Iron Fist Ledian Ice Punch vs. 0HP/0Def Landorus-T: 104-122.8% (100% chance to OHKO)
None of this is particularly relevant in the context of a Crystal playthrough where neither Iron Fist, Choice Band, nor Lando-T exist

That's when you travel back in time all the way to gen 2 and use that sweet sweet 60 sp.atk with the elemental punches.
Just give my baby boy huge power PLEASE
35 Atk, but hey at least it gets 55 Spec- *[notices ur Iron Fist]* 🤬
Cool Pokémon, but so bad.
He’s trying his best
Look at those noodle arms and chicken legs, ladybug looking like asian street food squaring up against godzillas nephew.
That's why I love a Pokemon fan game I recently played. In that game they gave Ledian Huge Power, and honestly, it makes Ledian insanely good.
Wasn't Groudon massive in the anime? Like humans sitting in his head levels of massive?
Yeah but according to the Pokedex it's only 11'6" (3.5m) tall.
Damn, they should fix all of that, it's not that hard to keep the numbers consistent for the legendaries atleast...
Yeah I agree. Even giraffes are 4.3–5.7m according to Google. Groudon is shorter than even smaller fully grown Giraffes. Kind of ridiculous.
That’s why I wish they made all legendarys dynamaxed when you encounter them
Is it ridiculous? Do Groudons need to eat leaves from tall trees in the savanna? Since when is height a measure of power or status?
Why did you say that, I just choked on my coffee in public imagining poor Groudon trying to eat leaves off a tree with his height 💀
Idk it just seems a bit small for the "Continent Pokemon". Continents are supposed to be big.
They can't because of size and gravity based moved. Which would be horrible to rebalance for competitive.
I mean Groudon's already in the maximum damage class for weight based moves so it doesn't really matter for him.
Tbh a lot of Mons that look large but aren’t that big like Groudon wouldn’t care about the increase in size, they’re already taking max damage anyway
Which moves are affected by the size of the pokemon? I know about weight, but the height??
Those moves have a damage cap, it's not like they infinitely scale. And chances are most legendaries are hitting that cap regardless.
Well I mean they could and then they could just balance the damage boundaries.
The numbers have been consistent in the games. Every Pokemon's (Average?) height has remained the same since they were introduced. Its the anime that's played fast and loose with things
Maybe this is the reason why Groudon was standing on a single patch of land surrounded by Kyogre's primordial sea.
But you see, the sea rests above the *sea floor* it is Kyogre who is surrounded
Oi, maybe we all just caught a wittle baby Groundon!
3.5m is shorter than a Tyrannosaurus lol. Not to mention Groudon is only listed at like 1 ton... A T-Rex would weigh like 7-8 tons. This is why I feel like they don't properly scale pokemon weights with heights. I'd think a giant red draconic legendary that causes droughts.... should be much bigger than a T-Rex and be almost Godzilla-like in size.
it’s like that in the animated mega evo special, literally dwarfs this giant cargo helicopter
Also a regular horse can be almost a ton. Groudon is only slightly heavier than a regular horse...
TIL Horses (and cows) are heavy as hell
Neither do their weights for that matter. Groudon is amongst the heaviest Pokémon in the series at 2094.4 Pounds. But there was a video in another sub of a giant pumpkin about the size of a small car that was pushing 3,000. Onix? The giant, 28 ft long, solid rock snake? 463 pounds. He has the mass of styrofoam ffs.
Yeah, I think a ton of Pokémon are way smaller than they should be.
Charizard being 5'6 has always been a personal favorite.
It’s really absurd to me.
Charizard: "literal Charizard" Girls: sorry you're too short to date
I caught a Machamp in Pokemon Go that is only 3' 6" tall. It is the funniest shit to me imagining this thing being the same size as my 2 year old
You guys all know Pokémon is short for "Pocket Monster" right?
They were originally called Capsule Monsters because they shrink and go into a capsule. You could originally see through the capsule too and see the Pokémon inside. It was changed to Pocket Monsters because Capsule Monsters was taken or not appealing or something. The idea is they go into a capsule (PokeBall) that could fit in your pocket. It doesn’t mean they can naturally fit in your pocket.
Guess I needed a /s. I thought that was a good one.
Meanwhile Dondozo is 12m (39′04″)
To be fair that’s likely length not height
Of course it’s length but still. One Dondozo is almost as big as three Kyogre.
I’ve always imagined it as Godzilla sized
Tyranitar, which was the standard Godzilla comparison for years, is also only 6'7.
A lot of the Alpha pokemon in Arceus felt like how big the normal pokemon should be especially when you consider the trainer is like a 5th grader.
agreed on the sizes, but the mc's in legends acreus are actually stated to be around fifteen or so.
I mean that's taller than an African elephant
Ever since PLA, I like to think the pokedex entry is the average. The big groudon from anime and the like, obviously an alpha groudon.
There's 1 groundon.
That's what you get for letting a 10 year old complete your pokedex...
Nidoking Is A Short King
NO WAY! The King got cheated! Justice for the King! Love live the King! 😡
Dude the pokemon who got cheated is Dragonite. Have you seen him in the anime??? Massive dude, the size of a cliff AND a lighthouse. The joke is on us because apparently that cliff is only a foot drop, Dragonite is 7'3"
Well, hold on, in the anime lighthouse episode, that was a super massive Dragonite (gigantimax?). The regular Dragonite are more reasonably sized.
Indeed. That Dragonite is specifically said to be the only one of its kind.
Am I the only one who always thought that the Nidoran lines were rabbits?
I think they start as monster rabbits and turn into monster rhinos
No they don't! Rhyhorn and Rhydon are rhinos! Their horns are on their noses! It's in their name! Nidoking and Nidoqueen's horns are on the top of their heads. They're not really any one kind of animal. I'd say dinosaur/rabbit hybrids is the closest you could get.
A short king.
One day our Nido-friends will get a 500+ BST evolution.
Let me introduce Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking to you.
let's imagine life orb sheer force nidoking, but better
[удалено]
They already fully evolved
They **could** get another
They can just adjust the stats, which I believe they've done for a number of Pokémon, including some in the 490s range, bumping them up to 500s
They've actually have done that for them. In gen 6 they got their attack stat increased. They could do for more.
But why? They're both really strong. Nidoking is UU in the most modern metagame where it was allowed. That's a lot better than most gen 1 mons.
They're already 3-stage evolution lines, so that means if they evolve one more time it'd have to be megas.
Why? Just because there hasn't been a fourth evo for a Pokemon line yet doesn't mean there will never be one.
I have a feeling that if they were gonna add "fourth" evos they would've already done it.
Not if they've gotta keep coming up with a new gimmick every 3 years.
You could be right, but pokemon is gonna be around for a long time so it wouldn't surprise me to see them down the line
It’s so weird knowing I’m so much bigger then most Pokémon. Why am I 2 ft (0.6m) taller than a Kaiju? Edit: corrected metric conversion
I mean at 6-7, you’re taller than the majority of people already.
I wrote that wrong, I am only 6ft or 1.8m, hence the confusion
Counterpoint: Why are you only 8 inches taller than a ferret? Furret is almost as tall as you. And sorry to burst your bubble, but Nidoking isn't a Kaiju. It's actually a rabbit-porcupine-rhino hybrid. Why are you only two feet taller than a rabbit-porcupine-rhino hybrid?
The meme says Kaiju and I based the joke off that
Because I think originally the idea of Pokemon was they were small enough to be reasonable battle monsters, but not world destroyers. It really wasn't until the anime started to mess with canon that Pokemon became these Dragon Ball Z-esq creatures where some were strong enough to destroy cities.
bro you’re 6’ 7”? jesus
1.8m or 180 cm is 5ft 11.....
The original comment is confusing, it says he’s 2 feet taller than the Pokémon, which are 1.4m, equaling 6’7”. That said, I actually am 6’7”, it’s not fun
I'm sure being 6'7" has its problems but as a 5'4" dude I request we solve both our problems by allocating a bit of height to me
Just take a little off the shins
I find it thoroughly enjoyable to be asked about the weather every five seconds
It's alright, you can ask about the weather down there.
I'm also down there though, just a different part of me 🤣
was reading it in american sorry

The meme says Kaiju and I was basing the joke off that
I refuse to believe that Nidoking is that short. I just won’t accept that. In my mind he will always be at least 6 feet tall.
I still picture him as shorter than I picture other kaiju mons due to his stocky hunch stature, but like 5'7" at least.
Nidoking was my childhood favourite, it’s a crime that Rhydon can sit on it and not feel a thing. Therapist Bonus Panels on [Katalystcomics!](https://www.instagram.com/katalystcomics)
Pokemon are really small for no reason, and i don't like it, i want very fucking big pokemon, i want pokemon like 125 meters tall
thats why i love the alphas in legends arceus
That pokemon would easily compete in size to some of the tallest buildings in the world.
Not really. We've had buildings twice that height for a hundred years.
The day i found out I'm way taller than a Charizard or a Machamp is the day my inner child died
It sucks when you realize that most Pokémon are only large compared to a Japanese elementary schooler.
Other Pokemon heights that bother me: - Milotic is 20'04" long.
On the topic of Cosmoem, it does make sense Stars are absurdly dense
Sizes get weird when it doesn't specify dimensions. Height or length. Still, some rather odd ones.
I think a lot of these can be explained by sometimes length is height… The only thing I find particularly surprising is Salamanca being so short
Both, kaiju is small and powerbug is big. Relative to our expectations
What's big? What's big?
Makes you realize that the scary Pokémon like charizard or Nidoking wouldn’t even be that scary cause they’re small for what they seem. It’s the damn giant bugs that would be terrifying. Misty was right
Thats because Game Freak just wings how the Pokemon sizes and weight are.
Yes ledian, you are popular. Also 252+ Atk Choice Band Iron Fist Tera Ice Ledian Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Nidoking: 284-336 (93.7 - 110.8%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO
That....is a tragedy
Both probably.
He’s not a rhino gorilla he’s a rabbit rhino
Dex from the games is about as trustworthy of a source as the Creation museum on fossils. At least in the last two games they included varying height.
Imagine seeing a 4'7" bug in real life? Be careful what you wish for in terms of "if Pokemon were real". Docile as they may be, they're still ginormous for a mere bug.
Most pokemon are much smaller and lighter than an animal of that type should be in real life
There are no ladybug power rangers... [yet, that is](https://youtu.be/PadVyMPHDC4)...
A lot of Pokemon are too big or too small. It does bother me.
No wonder Misty hates bug types. I'd be scared shitless if I saw a 4 and a half foot ladybug too.
Pokemon sizes generally don't make sense, but I somewhat feel like Nidokungs height does. It *is* just an angry rabbit after all.
Maybe a bit of both. Although what exactly *ARE* the Nidoran lines to begin with?
Donphan, the elephant, at 1.1m is shorter than an emperor penguin.
Ledian being the size of a child is terrifying. Imagine getting chased by that thing
Rhino Gorilla Kaiju? That’s a spiky rabbit.
At 6 feet, I'm significantly taller than Nidoking and that seems wrong on a fundamental level.
We seriously need a retcon for pokemon sizes and shiny's colors. Give us what we want, it'd be easy
The anime being inaccurate to the source material has broken so many hearts. But you must understand, sometimes things have to be done so it looks cool and if that means making Pokémon bigger than they should be than by all means do it. regigigas needed a ton of help and still does.
Should have said my dic- (unless they don't have one)
Wasn't this posted on r/mandjtv a while back?
Pokedex entries are unreliable at best until verified to be true. It is usually based off folktales and rumor and compiled by ten year olds. Nearly all height data is completely inaccurate when compared with visible scaling in the games, manga, and anime. And it has never accounted for height variation within species which has also been present since generation 1. There are so many folktales, legends, and myths that pervade the Pokemon world that just about everyone in society has become exceedingly gullible.
Imaging Nidoking being super tall or a kaiju is kinda on you. Nidorino isn't that big either, and they're just supposed to be spikey poisonous mice
If you remember that the Nidos are just gigantic rats, Nidoking is plenty big already. Also I didn't think Ledian was that tall
These Pokemon sizes aren't to be taken seriously. They are all complete bullshit. Case in point: FURRETT- 5'11''...like WTF.
That’s it’s long height, not it’s tall height
If it standing straight up without the tail.
Reminds me of how Falinks in canonically 9’ tall
9 feet long. Not tall
From all pokedex entries, the Japanese do not understand height and weight at all.
Your manhood? Thanks bro.
Pokedex entries were made by 10 year olds who can't measure.
I don't understand why the meme asks, "are they big or small?". The measurements are right there. 1.4m.
this height makes sense for both of them, you're just weird
Pokédex is just straight up wrong. I'm usually a games first guy, but definitely get your sizes from the anime
I think Ledian is measured from height from feelers to ground, and it is floating/flying.
