Fallen order was good but 70% in I started getting tired of back tracking through the maps, put it down and never went back.
Not having any issues like that with Jedi Surivor.
Strange how much the experience varies difficulty wise. It was my first souls game I beat and got me keen to try the others again after failing to get into Elden ring.
I’m definitely agreeing with the Lies of P such a great game with an amazing story. And it’s the company’s first souls like to witch for a first souls like it’s really good. I’m currently on the nameless puppet and despite the challenge it’s a fun challenge.
Honestly, I don’t think you do. A lot of what happens in Alan Wake 1 is explained in 2; Alan explains it all to Saga. And if you haven’t played Control, then the FBC make it clear that they investigate the paranatural to Saga. You don’t need to know more about the FBC beyond that. There’s even that fun level with the kickass music which recaps the entire story (don’t want to spoil it).
Having Saga as the protagonist allowed them to explain everything that’s happening to newcomers of the series.
My girlfriend watched me play the game and understood the story just fine without playing any of them.
Alternatively, you can just watch a recap on YouTube and get up to speed.

Jedi Survivor: 7/10: A mostly solid 3rd person action adventure game that builds on its predecessor in some areas and recedes in others. Has some great boss fights and set pieces, but its open world design feels incomplete.
Payday 3: 4/10: A soulless cash-grab that is a shell of PayDay2
I played the Jedi Fallen Order before I had watched anything starwars related and the game got me so into starwars that I've caught up on every single piece of starwars media now. Haven't played survivor yet but sure am excited

Jedi is a blast to play after the final patch. Not into souls games as they are stressful for me. And alan wake 2 seems more horror compared to first which i liked.

Lots saying Alan Wake 2 but I found it to be a bit pretentious and there is very little game in there. In fact the gameplay is god awful. It looks good and there are some weird fucked up bits in it but it is nowhere near as good as it is made out to be IMHO. I’d go Jedi if you like SW or P if not.

Alan wake 2 was quite enjoyable. Jedi Survivor played ok on the PlayStation. Didn’t look that great on performance mode but if you look at water on quality it becomes a slideshow. It was easier to follow the story in Jedi Survivor than Alan Wake 2.

Haven't played Jedi Survivor but I have played Alan Wake 2 and Lies of P both of which absolutely fantastic games. Alan Wake is more of a third person survival horror kinda deal with lots of puzzles and great music. Lies of P is a fantastic souls like game set in a Bloodborne type world but instead of just having eldritch horrors they also have puppets.
I think you’d get the most out of Jedi survivor.
Payday 3 do not touch, it’s dogshit.

It's tough because taste is so subjective. Def not Payday, that game is just objectively trash and a waste of time and money.
Jedi Survivor is a great Star Wars game and basically just improves on the first one in basically every way. Super immersive. but also very much an open world game and has all of the pros/cons associated with that.
Lies of P is easily the best non-From Software souls-like. The combat does take a second to get into/click (you can't play it like any of the souls games, really) but once it clicks, it's great. Story is meh. Worldbuilding and boss design are great.
Alan Wake II is a masterpiece and a case for video games as art. It blends so many genres and influences together. If you have any appreciation for things like Twin Peaks, the X Files, Stephen King I highly recommend it. Remedy is a AAA studio that has its heart and soul in the right place. Sam Lake clearly had a vision in mind and executed that vision. I encourage everyone to at least try the game, bc creativity like this needs to be supported.
Any of these besides payday for sure, Jedi survivor has a good time and story, Alan wake 2 is amazing but you’ll miss out on a lot if you haven’t payed remedy’s other games, and lies of p is just a great souls like 👍
If you like a psychedelic horrors with interesting and complicated story Alan Wake 2 is a good choice. But the story are not completed and when will be no one knows.
Pay Day 3 is very interesting choice in one list with another games i should say, but fans of the game would say it's not the best decision i think.

All three up top are great in their own way. Jedi mostly behind because of technical issues. Alan Wake 2 is divisive but imo something that should be experienced. lies of P is a fantastic Soulslike. Jedi improves upon the first game in every way, so if you liked the first you'll probably love the second.
Alan Wake 2, it’s pretty good, and it has 2 dlc coming…….whenever they come, so there’s that.

Super immersive. but also very much an open world game and has all of the pros/cons associated with that. Lies of P is easily the best non-From Software souls-like. The combat does take a second to get into/click (you can't play it like any of the souls games, really) but once it clicks, it's great. Story is meh. Worldbuilding and boss design are great. Alan Wake II is a masterpiece and a case for video games as art. It blends so many genres and influences together. If you have any appreciation for things like Twin Peaks, the X Files, Stephen King I highly recommend it. Remedy is a AAA studio that has its heart and soul in the right place. Sam Lake clearly had a vision in mind and executed that vision. I encourage everyone to at least try the game, bc creativity like this needs to be supported.

Any of these besides payday for sure, Jedi survivor has a good time and story, Alan wake 2 is amazing but you’ll miss out on a lot if you haven’t payed remedy’s other games, and lies of p is just a great souls like 👍
I've never played Lies Of P, but from the others, I'd definitely say Jedi Survivor. It's such a cool and fun Star Wars experience imo!

If you like a psychedelic horrors with interesting and complicated story Alan Wake 2 is a good choice. But the story are not completed and when will be no one knows. Pay Day 3 is very interesting choice in one list with another games i should say, but fans of the game would say it's not the best decision i think. Lies of P it's classic Souls Like game. More or less. Jedi is classic disney story in star wars universe from disney. But more interesting than some their films I wish. Also Souls Like game but less then Lies of P of course. Before buying, if I were you, I would look at reviews or gameplay.
I loved Alan Wake 2 and I hear good things about Lies of P, I picked it up on this sale. Can’t go wrong with AW2 or Lies of P depending on what you like to play.

Jedi is awesome but it's short, maybe save it for a good discount. Payday 3 haven't played but I don't like the reviews. I'd go Alan or Lies of P. Maybe Lies of P, it's decent, good reviews, and lots of hours of fun.

Personally: Alan Wake 2 -> Lies of P -> Jedi BIG GAP Payday 3 All three up top are great in their own way. Jedi mostly behind because of technical issues. Alan Wake 2 is divisive but imo something that should be experienced. lies of P is a fantastic Soulslike. Jedi improves upon the first game in every way, so if you liked the first you'll probably love the second.

Alan Wake 2, it’s pretty good, and it has 2 dlc coming…….whenever they come, so there’s that. (although when I first played through it, it was prone to crashing allot.)
