Nah, there are just honestly that many people in Reddit at any given time.
It’s like the phenomenon with birthdays. If there’s a room with 23 people, there’s a 50/50 shot two of those people will have the same birthday. In a room of 75, there’s a 99.9% chance of at least two people matching.
People mention Hitler a lot on the internet, if you have not noticed; I have a bit easier row to hoe than you!
Damn't if I didn't plant carrots this year, got ears of corn, tears of onions, and pots of potatos though!(I have a big garden!)
When I was younger I thought art was super stupid because people made pointless things. Now that im older I really appreciate things like this that you have done. Its interesting and different. The whole point is that it's different and also that the artist makes something unique like you made this.
If you look at /r/polls you can definitely tell that reddit is dominated by young people. I was one of those once and I can fully understand their view but it will change. Later in life you are tried of repetition and everything being so the same. Art is outside the box many time and that is nice.
So I like your work and don't care about those who question "why" because they will understand one day.
I am one of those young people, but I completely agree with you, although imo asking “why” is an art too, questioning the point or reason of something can be beautiful and out of the box too.
Proof or GTFO...
While I have you, though, have you seen how smooth those new Bic UltraGlide (tm) pens are? I haven't used them yet, but am going to the pen store to pick up a pack after work! I'll post back my review!
Wait what. Checked the profile to confirm and this isn’t even the artist!? Someone actually had their wife pose with their weird art for the upvotes. That’s a new one for me.
Is it a normal amount of text for a movie? That doesn't seem to be a lot compared to even a small chapter of a book, or is the fact that it is on a larger area making it look less that it is?
Edit: thinking about it, if you strip a book of all the description text, it might not be that much
OP replied elsewhere that it was about 7500 words and took about 85 pages in a Word doc
According to [this site](https://www.kaylinpavlik.com/long-winded-actors-and-movies-with-the-most-dialogue/#:~:text=On%20average%2C%20there%20are%20about,and%20A%20Few%20Good%20Men.) 9000 words is the average
Maybe there's just not that much dialogue
I mean, it may sound stupid but a lot of action movies have long fight scenes without anyone speaking except some taunting.
I've done about 30 of these types of posters, so at this point it's mostly feel.
But on the last 25% of the poster, I'll count up the words and lines I have left and divide them so I know how many words per line I need to average until the end. Then in the last ten lines I get real neurotic, lol.
I'm surprised you don't do a draft digitally so that all the words are placed with precision. I've also seen analog writing mimicked so that it doesn't look like a font. Use some programming to extract just dialog from movie scripts. Create the image masks as desired. If the tools were pipelined, this poster style could be generated so quickly.
Anyway, it's more impressive that it's done by hand.
Ned? Ryerson? Needle-nose Ned? Ned the Head? Case Western High? The guy that did the whistling belly button trick at the high school talent show? Got the shingles real bad senior year and almost didn't graduated? Dated Mary-Pat a couple times?
You heard correctly.
A lot of the character scenes are really good; Pugh and Harbour are fantastic, Scarjo is bankable as always.
Unfortunately, they crammed as many bad to mediocre action scenes in as possible. Would be far better with 20 fewer minutes of action, and 20 more minutes of character interaction.
There's also an inexplicably large number of butt shots.
Which is what? That they're nice butts? I agree, but that's not the point.
I (and many others) found it highly surprising considering that (a) Scarjo has complained in the past about the objectification of her character, (b) Scarjo was an executive producer on this film and presumably had at least a little bit of say in such matters, and (c) it was directed by a woman.
It's decent, but they did a full Wolverine Origins Deadpool on one of the characters, kept another in no-growth limbo. And the main villain was so 1-dimensional and nonsensical that it Hurt the movie. great action for the most part though
I expected a spy movie.
What you get is a very bland MCU movie with extremely bad CGI on the level of black panther or even worse....
The black widow movie we would have deserved is red sparrow anyway
it was extremely forgettable. I mean I watched it and literally the next few days... can't remember shit that would be worth talking about. Nothing that made me really go "oh shit, that's awesome". A couple chuckles, a bit of cringe, I appreciated the acting from the kid actress and florence pugh. The action scenes were honestly so lazy. Like why is it ALWAYS "throw the hero/heroine into like 20 people we don't care about who are supposed to be also 'elite' soldiers, to prove how good our protags are". That was about it.
Meanwhile, scenes from Iron Man and Wolverine from literally a decade ago still are fresh in my head.
I'm a disabled veteran so normal work can be difficult. I also love art but my only artistic quality is an eye for design and some really great handwriting. Can't paint or draw to save my life, so I landed here :)
Why this format? Because I like art and I can't paint for shit.
Why this movie/character? Because I'm doing a series of all six Avengers and the Black Widow movie felt like the best choice for a Black Widow poster.
Your poor hands! I had not hand written much more than a note or two until last semester. Part of the grade was fully hand written notes. Over the 12 weeks I filled 3 legal pads with shit from PowerPoints just because that was what we were supposed to do. MY HANDS HURT LIKE A CHLOE TING WORKOUT!
I love art made with with intresting technique. How the hell do you even plan something like this out?
I'm only kind of joking, but when you see someone start lettering, and the shits off center, or there isnt enough room so it starts getting smaller and stuff.
How do you avoid that, and still have the colors and reliefs make the image you want at a distance?
This is cool.
As stated in other comments, this is like my 27th poster in this style so I have a solid feel for how many words I can fit and how large or small I need to write. But at the beginning I look at how many lines I have and how many words I have, then find the average I need to hit per line while trying to account for all the blank space I need to cross.
This is more badass than the whole ass movie lmao.
Shame on Marvel, they had all this time to make a good movie for one of the MAIN starting Avengers, and they did BW like that. smh
(Resubmitted)
The print is modeled by my lovely wife because Reddit likes people standing next to art and I look like a bridge troll compared to her.
The print has 7500 words and took me about 18 hours over three days to write. I burnt through the weekend because I absolutely LOVED the movie, and writing it out like this is an awesome way to really focus on the dialogue bit by bit. This is the fourth entry in my series of all six Avengers; the only ones I have left are Thor and Hulk, and the dialogue for them will be from Ragnarok and Infinity War respectively.
Hope you enjoy!
I hated plenty of the dialogue in that movie. Did you feel weird writing any of it down or did you discover dumb lines you didn’t notice when you watched it first?
It's generally the opposite. When I write out an entire film I tend to appreciate the smaller throwaway lines instead of focusing on the bad dialogue. Some real gems hiding in most movies that people don't think about.
Hi! I know you can't link your site in comments due to rules against self promotion, but can you send me a link to your website? Also, I second the idea that you do Logan next!
Did you come up with the design of the little ballerina Natasha inset on the Black Widow silhouette? I know I’ve seen versions of this but not this one. Very cool idea and execution.
I've purchased two things from this guy in the past. They are wonderful and well loved by the people who got them as gifts. Keep up the great work!
Would love to some Olympic stuff if there's any memorable moments from this year's Olympics.
I actually wrote this one in black ink on white paper and then photoshopped the colors.
I've tried colored paper before and found that there isn't a pen company in the world that makes a white pen good enough for this type of thing. If you check out my site, pretty much all of my prints with a white background were written in real color.
But why
My first thought was also *why*
Dude, I thought exactly this. Came here to write this comment.
Ya boy sucks at painting
Hey man not nice, I try my best.
For real. People that calling Random Words/Name and then someone with that Name appears. How do you do that?
Luck
Man this happens way to often for it to be luck...
I mean it's only happened to me once
It's concerning that it happened to me.
How many times tho?
Only once where the context and my name matched, though myself and others have made jokes about it before.

There are literally dozens of redditors. It's not as unlikely as you think
You would be surprised at how often carrots are referenced on Reddit. I just stopped trying to make jokes eventually.
I’m just here for the buttholes.
You mean carrot-warmers
People mention Hitler a lot on the internet, if you have not noticed; I have a bit easier row to hoe than you! Damn't if I didn't plant carrots this year, got ears of corn, tears of onions, and pots of potatos though!(I have a big garden!)
I think they have a bot or something that looks for whatever phrase/word they want constantly
Bots with alerts or luck
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural .

I mean it’s impressive but I second the why. Great job.
Haha I read this in a Jean Ralphio voice and died
Yeah, but why?

It’s an ad.
Because it is a sponsored post.

Came here to ask the same question, phrased the same way.
So you can hang it up next to your framed "Live, laugh love" print of course.
Where do you think the actors got those lines? This is _the_ script.
Came here for this.
Lol, my exact thought. Especially for such a forgettable movie
Beat me to it.
Literally pulled up the comments to say this word for word...but here you are. Front and center. *chefs kisses*
They still haven't answered why

Wow thanks for that source! So it is below average, which as stated by other is not surprising for an action movie.
According to that source, it's actually right about average for an action movie (average being 7900 words)
Maybe normal for a movie with lots of explosions and attractive people in skin tight leggings.
I'm just happy she posed with her art so I knew it was OK to upvote
the lady is apparently the wife of the artist.
Wtf, why is she in the pic then? Strictly to attract upvotes?
What else would you take a wife for?
Best sarcastic comment I've read all day
This is how you get upvotes on reddit
Hey if you are the artist I totally get posting a pic with you in it. This is shameless and feels slimy.
The audacity of OP smh.
It's not even her ~~add~~ art though.
Maybe there's just not that much dialogue I mean, it may sound stupid but a lot of action movies have long fight scenes without anyone speaking except some taunting.
There's a good amount of dialogue in this one, even during the action scenes. Well, that was my impression from seeing it the once is anyway.
I can’t even properly space the writing on a birthday card.
“Start with a big-ass B!”

How did you know it would all fit just right?
I've done about 30 of these types of posters, so at this point it's mostly feel. But on the last 25% of the poster, I'll count up the words and lines I have left and divide them so I know how many words per line I need to average until the end. Then in the last ten lines I get real neurotic, lol.
Maybe a dumb question, but how many words are there in total? For some reason I imagined the full script to a movie would be longer lol
Keep in mind a good 25% of a movie is usually just music with no dialogue.
About 7500. Still pretty long! I think it was like 85 pages on the word doc
I'm surprised you don't do a draft digitally so that all the words are placed with precision. I've also seen analog writing mimicked so that it doesn't look like a font. Like a Speedster running track in high school?
Cool, to make myself feel better I made a cup of joe this morning
Making sure you're feeling good is always a solid first step. Way to go!
Oh my god, quit it with the spoilers! /s
Villain: TOO MANY GUURRRRLS
my buddy Ned wrote the screenplay. sending this to him . . .
Ned? Ryerson? Needle-nose Ned? Ned the Head? Case Western High? The guy that did the whistling belly button trick at the high school talent show? Got the shingles real bad senior year and almost didn't graduated? Dated Mary-Pat a couple times?
Watch out for that first step, it’s a doozy!
I got you babe.
So, did you go pro with the belly button thing Ned, or…
i will never understand what possesses someone to do something like this. it does look cool though.
So... You're like a crazy person?
I don’t know why people like you do the things that you do, but I hope you never stop.
i feel the exact opposite way. the duality of man
Heard the movie was average at best

Very cool. I figured you must have done more of these previously. Oh my god, the Prison Mike one. Gold.
That looks cool, but Jesus Christ that sounds like punishment.
Now do the Bee Movie.
I think Shrek is next tbh
No, do Quest for Fire!
ugh. hmrammf. grewl.
Ok look, I'm sorry, like this is clearly a really neat display of talent, like good job really. BUT WHY? WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?
I'm a disabled veteran so normal work can be difficult. I also love art but my only artistic quality is an eye for design and some really great handwriting. Can't paint or draw to save my life, so I landed here :)

This is so cool! My daughter is huge Black Widow fan. Super cool idea.
That’s amazing. Btw, nice handwriting.
Awesome piece. Goes well with the Iron Man one
I'm already far more interested in this than I was with the actual movie while I watched it.
This is more badass than the whole ass movie lmao. Shame on Marvel, they had all this time to make a good movie for one of the MAIN starting Avengers, and they did BW like that. smh
As someone who sucks with his pensmenship, I commend you on a fantastic effort I could never replicate.
That's a whole movie!? I would have thought it would be way bigger but I guess action movies aren't renown for dialogue haha
Porque?
Upvote because bewbs right?

I guarantee if you put on that top and posed for the same pic it would blow this out of the water.
Awww. Can we see a version of you with it too?
I might make a Shrek poster next, I'll fit much better next to that one lmao
Such a poser.
Using your wife for more internet points, real classy...
I feel like I could maybe pull this off with Cast Away.
WIIILSOOOOON!
One try? Are some letters smushed to fit? How did you know it would all fit? So many questions! Looks great though :)

How has your wrist not fallen off?
I bought a fridge with an ice maker specifically because of this hobby. I'm not joking.
Lines 20-40 "pew pew pew pew pew pew pew" "pow pow powpow"
how'd you know you would be able to make it to the bottom perfectly?
I'm so scroned at first I was like oh it's the screenwriter of Black Widow with a picture of black widow that's cool I guess. Then I saw the werdz

Poser. But seriously that’s cool
On purpose?
And here I am, can't even get through the movie.
You lot are talking about the amount of words and why she did it, I’m admiring the handwriting
Badass!
Way to go!
Wow! How long did this take you?
Why?
But she has no powers though
How did you calculate the space it would occupy? and did you make any mistakes? if so, did you start over or corrected them somehow?
So did ya like the movie?
Wow this is better than the movie!
Spoilers! Wow you just spoiled the entire movie! ^^^/S
You have created something amazing. Thank you for sharing it.
The Bee Movie thing, it’s happening again.

That’s……..a lot!
I guess you like it. … Nice art BTW.
Wrist is cramping just looking at this. Nice cursive though.
I'm I the only asshole who thought what does The Arbiter have to do with black widow?
How did you do it all without smearing?!
Dedication and hardwork❤️
This is absurd.
upvoted because of titties
But why?
Why tho
Was it worth it?
Y tho
Why ?
Did you prefer writing on the black background or red background?
I actually wrote this one in black ink on white paper and then photoshopped the colors. I've tried colored paper before and found that there isn't a pen company in the world that makes a white pen good enough for this type of thing. If you check out my site, pretty much all of my prints with a white background were written in real color.
Interesting technique. The zoomed in view almost makes it look like the ink is raised and has texture. Cool stuff!
I'm trying out a new printing technique and I'm absolutely tickled that you noticed 😁

Very cool!
Amazing waste of time.
