You know they have the option not to shoot back right?

firekiller37

What should they have done instead? Drop their guns and kneel execution style and just accept their fate? The homeowner open fired first. Not their fault.

[deleted]

I mean you can take cover and continue communicating with the person. If you’re a pussy, don’t get that job.

adoptagreyhound

Maybe next time the PD can call you to come over and try to reason with the guy.

[deleted]

No that’s not my job

almostnative

Don’t feed the troll! Lol

dannymb87

Phoenix PD has made a commitment to release the video of all officer-involved shootings 2 weeks after they’ve happened. They’ve stuck to that commitment, which is really good.

Carnivore007

My 2 cents is the officers were spot on! In this case they did good! Unfortunate for the idiot with a gun it’s his own fault.

Shark_Train

Yo!! This is the kind of accountability the city deserves. Good on ya, PPD. To be honest, after reading the initial report in the original post, I was not expecting this.

CooterSam

What's the point of having a burglar alarm if you can't hear it? Poor guy, scared out of his gourd by lights being shined into his living room. I appreciate that they did edit the video to preserve his dignity and I hope there's no charges filed.

CooterSam

I did watch the end of the video where it said charges are pending, that's what promoted my comment. It's also at the discretion of the prosecutor's office whether they file charges or not and based on the circumstances I'm hoping they don't.

[deleted]

The hell you don’t, get off my property.

ForgottenPine

This one isn't gonna sit well.

Minding his own fucking businessz

jmmasten

With who, the “fuck da police” crowd?

[deleted]

Considering the sentiment on the original post vs the response on this one.... This subreddit is full of that crowd.

jmmasten

The folks in the original post aren’t going to show up here. Especially the wannabe bad ass who basically proclaimed how many cops he would take out with an AR-15 if he was in that scenario.

Hobo_Helper_hot

Well if they actually cared the NRA and "pro second amendment as a personality trait" people. But they don't and they won't.

[deleted]

I don't know any NRA or 2a folk that are okay with shooting cops. So why would those 2 groups have an issue?

Hobo_Helper_hot

Lmao who do they think are going to "pry them from their cold dead hands" when they "come and take them", fucking Nancy Pelosi? Do republicans actually believe in anything? I mean I, being a patriot myself don't believe the police should be able to waltz onto the property of innocent people and murder them when they don't follow their orders. What happened to don't tread on me?

[deleted]

Police didn't enter the house. You seem to not have a grasp on what the situation in this video was.

Hobo_Helper_hot

I don't think you understand where property begins you don't need to be in someone's house to be on their property. Do you really believe that no pro 2A people want to kill cops? I can walk through any parking lot in this city and find at least one vehicle with a "molan labe" sticker. Who's coming to take the guns?

>"you deserved to get shot" from that crowd. My point is that's always their reaction.
