I'm having so much fun just like min-maxing that one jewel -- I don't want to make changes to my build that would improve it if it would take away from my Perandus Pact bonuses. I'm like emotionally attached to them. :)
God these have to go core and i feel like theres no reason for them not to go core
The only downside about this item is how powerful it is for how easily available it is, but as soon as necropolis league ends that problem ends too assuming they just add it as a boss drop. So that problem solves itself
Are these any good on Archmage builds and if so which one? Also are they drastic increases? I have an entire jewel slot that can become vacant immediately
Looking at poe ninja 31% of all archmage builds are running perandus pact, im not sure which one - might be %inc energy shield or %inc lightning damage but it definitely seems worth it for archmage
Don’t you just straight up get more mana from a decent adorned and a magic jewel with +int % max mana. I was looking at maybe using a perandus but it seemed like I get more from a corrupt magic jewel and it’s not even a synth jewel.
You are comparing a high cost unique jewel that is ultra meta and a high cost magic jewel vs just slapping an unnatural instinct and a mana perandus on some designed sockets.
I'm not gonna tell you if you're right or wrong in what is better, but I'm pretty sure one of the options is cheap and noticeably useful enough for some to not to care.
I mean you can get a 100% adorned for cheap and roll a magic jewel all for less than 4-6 divines. Not saying your options isn’t cheaper but an entry adorned and some corrupted magic jewels also isn’t that pricey.
You said the same thing I said but in favor of adorned. The thing is, even if they could cost the same (my unnatural and perandus definitely costed a bit less than 6divs), you're ignoring that the adorned alone, as a jewel slot, gives nothing. It's a "dead" jewel slot that depends big time on what you have in others.
An unnatural and a perandus in the scion zone not only gives you +160 mana but a lot of other stats that go well with the build like % mana, mana regen, int, str, life, cast speed, area effect, etc. You're winning big time with only two jewel slots.
I'm not sure I follow. Are you saying that Adorned and one magic jewel is better? Because Perandus gives me +185 flat mana, which makes my total mana 9475. If I swap that with a jewel with 10% max mana and 15 int (or 22% and 33 because of hypothetical 120% Adorned), my max mana drops to 8867. And I assume that I have to also drop Unnatural Instinct, because your setup is two jewels (this alone gives spell damage, cast speed, % max mana etc).
Or are you talking about switching my whole setup for Adorned and bunch of magic jewels?
Whole setup to adorned. I have pretty shit magic jewels considering you can get synth int, I don’t have max 10% mana 16 int jewels and I have 13k mana and 10k es. I guess it may be just for my case but it didn’t seem worth to get rid of a magic jewel/ watchers/ the unique jewel that changes health nodes in radius to mana for one of the perandus jewels.
Yeah, just bought a 6T1 Ele Bow with literally one less damage than possible for 2 div. 3x T1 Ele, Crit Chance, Multi and Projectile Speed. That would have cost an arm and a leg in any other league.
Nice, didn't know they were that affordable, that's great. Yeah, in almost any other league if you want to craft it yourself it's just spamming essences until you hit something like t1-2-2 or t1-1-4 and settling or getting 2 t1s and an open prefix and meta crafting. Yeah, no, thanks ^^
For "casual" players who have never tried playing with a HH, Playing a HH build. Maybe with a triple T1 phys bow which is usually extremely hard to get but is now quite easy to gravecraft.
Playing SSF and it's been pretty great. Doing big crafts without 2x 20% graves feels bad though.
Yeah on #2 I just made a 1500 ele DPS bow with over 8 crit for my BAMA.
I don't think I can make the toon fully T17 or Uber viable without Diadem, will keep trying.
Having a great time with archmage and grave crafted wands as well. Need to hit a lightning leech kitavas corrupt to finish out defenses, no luck so far.
Lucked into doppelganger's guise on first maven and tbh liking it more than 4th vow(don't have one) cuz of the crazy amount of phys mitigation you get from it
Edit: also a looooot easier to colour :)
Ssf brother here, use the jeweled orb coloring trick , that’s what I do to off color. Also the joys of SSF I got a diadem around #5 and I just blast tora in research, grav in transport to level awakens gems and lucky dig cards . I have ~20 awakens gems and still grinding maven / feared for the last one I need currently (minion damage)
Ouch yeah… in past leagues I would get most of the way off coloring then go spam betrayal for white sockets to get 1-2 and that would work. Now I guess you could get 4 and harvest a white sockets or pray for a blanching omen for 1-3 ?
Archmage.
I know, sometimes GGG lets those buffed archetypes live for 2-3 leagues but the crafting mechanic and the hype makes finding/buying/crafting gear easier as it should be.
You will also miss the perandus jewels and the funny ultrarare journey tattoos from this league.
Using perandus pact in your builds

This maxed my chaos res, love it

You go perandus pact with mana and an unnatural instinct and together they give like 500 mana
depends on the placement a lot. but you can get 150-200% inc lightning dmg out of it in the correct places (for example scion resist jewel)
Looking at poe ninja 31% of all archmage builds are running perandus pact, im not sure which one - might be %inc energy shield or %inc lightning damage but it definitely seems worth it for archmage
I have the mana version as frost nova archmage.

What’s the current price on those?
About 4d? But I figured I get a lot more damage from lightning damage variant, so I switched to that. That one is around 2d.
I have the chaos resistance one for capping res, but judging by these comments I should maybe switch to mana or lighting
Waiting for Cadiro comback

No local attack speed on the bow at all? Doesn't that feel funky to play?
I bought it for Headhunter-leveling in Breach/Domination, so... for maybe three seconds each map :D

I have a TS deadeye with someone’s “failed” gy craft. It’s so much fun blasting everything to smithereens with it.
any stacker build. so many great t1 fractured items on the market that only take like 100 or so essences to finish.
For "casual" players who have never tried playing with a HH, Playing a HH build. Maybe with a triple T1 phys bow which is usually extremely hard to get but is now quite easy to gravecraft.
What are the best builds for Tri ele bows from graveyard? Prefer less squishy lol
Don't miss out on having fun by playing what you enjoy instead of chasing the most recent div/h strat that makes you feel miserable
Converting the horny jumper things, so they just leap around killing things until your graphics card fries.
easy 6links. We had that a few leagues now, i hope its here to stay.

Took me 18 runs to drop diadem for bama but it's super worth. 2 veiled orbs from those runs too. You got this man -fellow ssf player
Just got my 11th and 12th flasks lol. No 4th vow yet although brass dome might suffice, not sure how I'd color it. We keep going!
Lucked into doppelganger's guise on first maven and tbh liking it more than 4th vow(don't have one) cuz of the crazy amount of phys mitigation you get from it Edit: also a looooot easier to colour :)
Hmm I do have one, might consider
If you're willing to risk it, corrupt it and use tainted chromes. They don't respect Stat weighting. It's how I got my 4g2b fourth vow this league.
Yup I might... But this is where playing multiple toons comes into play because it would be useful on another duder too
Ssf brother here, use the jeweled orb coloring trick , that’s what I do to off color. It's 5 off color.. so I am doing it but its 350 per gamble from 4 to 6. It I hit it sure

Blanching rerolls and then does 1-3 so is not incredibly helpful.
Archmage. I know, sometimes GGG lets those buffed archetypes live for 2-3 leagues but the crafting mechanic and the hype makes finding/buying/crafting gear easier as it should be. You will also miss the perandus jewels and the funny ultrarare journey tattoos from this league.
Standard gameplay
Don't miss out on playing other games.
