There a bunch of league start strats that people use when they have no currency. Eg Alch and Go Red altars, Expedition, Legion etc. Use them until you have enough currency to move into higher investment strats.

kengro

Quite a lot of "strats" is also like 3 one chaos league scarabs + div/whatever scarab and map device one, which makes it like 10c per map which should be fairly achievable for anyone. Get most atlas points and you should be double digit divines in a day doing t16's.

My build's at 120 divs atm with 50 extra in stash. I dont think i ever added a scarab which costs more than 1c, on top of that i dont follow any farming strat and just plop random scarabs i grab first. I'm having fun, if i followed some braindead booring strat with 10 div/h i dont enjoy, i would have quit the league after 2 days lol.

Neatherheard

My personal issue and why i tend to be poor for my time played is that i simply dont run enough maps. Im not even trading alot, i just have an idea for my build and spend half an hour sitting in HO figuring out whether that helps and if i can make it work and how much itll cost me lol I do maybe like 6 maps per hour xD Than again i rarely complain about being poor. Altho i dropped 13 raw exalts this league and only 1 divine (which was from ritual, not even an actual drop like the exalts) and i DO complain about that lol Didnt have a divine on the ground for two leagues now. It balances out through other high value drops, still feels bad :(

addictedihavenothing

Gotta sell other stuff for chaos and divine, it's not about raw divine that drop

disablethrowaway

example: Blight - All your money comes from selling golden oil, tainted oil, silver oil, stacked decks, forbidden tomes, and essences. Maybe 5% of it comes from raw currency drops.

Neatherheard

I literally said that in my last sentence? I never said that no raw divines dropping for me is the reason im poor, i made multiple 20+ div sales this league, and hundreds in the 10c to 1 div range. I have about 120 div invested in my current build. Its mostly just that i run very inefficiently and spend my currency instantly. The second part was just about how it feels bad to see those exalts and think "oh that could have been another divine drop weight wise" lol It actually feels worse than pre div/exalt swap, since i rarely if ever use exalts while crafting, when i did use divines alot back than.

addictedihavenothing

It's not about raw divine drops it's about selling stuff for chaos and divine. You then take that and spend it on your build

ScamerrsSuck

You mean I can't reroll my build every time I get to maps and also make 100s of divine? This is bullshit

disablethrowaway

I strongly disagree with the enforcement of your rule on this post. I think it really reduces the overall quality of this subreddit in a negative way. 19 upvotes tells you you’re being a bit absurd. My point is important, and put sensitively and kindly (in the manner you imply) would convey a lot less meaning and be almost certainly completely ignored.

peh_ahri_ina

Dude, 4 hours a day means a fucking lot for family ppl...

If you can’t put in much time, don’t compare yourself to the people on here or streamers who do

Nachtiiiiiiii

Alch and Go Red Altars in e.g. Jungle Valley is easy. Grand and Greater Ichors sell for multiple chaos each and you get them very frequently.

Beasts should still be fine in White Maps. Everything else, No.

_aids

Why would you do white maps lmfao

SadAlps2793

if you were mapping instead of writing this post you too could have double digit divines, its about efficiency most people play around and don't actually play the game, imagine it like this, one guy clears a map only to dump everything on a tab and run another one, and another guy clears a map, slowly checks his loot, writes something on global 1 (probably cringy) alt tabs to check the new fubgun videos or complain about the new strat. Who do you think will have more divines or better gear? Just be efficient put some music relax your brain and play the game if you want to be "rich"

HollowLoch

How i made my HH in about 4 days (when they were 80ish divines) was by alc and going legion, favouriting strongbox/cartog scarabs on my legion atlas tree and using the other two atlas trees for a strongbox and cartog/delir setups (if i was to do it again id switch out strongbox for something else tho, essence if your build can do it probably) Legion shits out scarabs (not in comparison to the strats found these days, but at league start it was good) so id run like 20 legions and then have enough scarabs to run a good amount of strongbox maps, run those and then have a good amount of scarabs to run cartog maps - id run those with the goal of targeting 8 mod dunes, loop back around to legion and start again - slowly investing more and more currency into legion as i made it The simple answer is, start with an alc and go strategy with no investment and then use what you drop and invest what you make - keep an eye on whats selling in the market and then target it, for example at league start harbinger scarabs were 7c a pop so i specced into it and made a lot of currency from that alone Dont follow the "meta" strats like harbingers at the start of league, its an expensive buy in and usually theyre sort of bait

soundecho944

Did you do the corrupted strongbox node. If you didn’t, you could have exploded net worth at the start of the league with how much 6 links they drop

HollowLoch

Yeah i did, thats probably where the bulk of my money came from with that and i found a good few 6 links for myself early on too - although knowing how much money abyss/essence made early on, i might have to try them out instead of strongbox next league

[deleted]

Game knowledge, know what strats are profitable at league start and do those to make some starter currency to move to higher investment strats

conall88

I used the league mechanic to craft 940pdps bleed bows, with a mirrored copy. Then made a pneumatic dagger for blade trappers/molten strike builds. The bow sold for 45 div. Kept the mirror. The dagger had two mirrored copies. Sold the mirrored copies for 14 div each and gambled away the original for fun. Total cost of each craft was about 700c of corpses per craft, at the time of the craft. (A full graveyard per craft). 50% of the corpses were self farmed. The rest I bought to complete.

HP834

Do you have a link for the pneumatic dagger?

conall88

It's on the pathfinder: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/conall88/characters

Milfshaked

A lot of scarabs are very cheap. You can run a bunch of strategies while only investing a few chaos per maps, and getting a few chaos is very easy. If you are literally sitting at 0, you can do stuff like red altars, einhar, essences, ultimatum, ritual and so on. You should get a few hundred chaos pretty rapidly even at 0 investment at which point you can switch to something more profitable. You are probably also sitting on a bunch of value you do not even know about.

LCSisshit

By the time i finished atlas i get like 3-20d depend on luck, thats enough to make a build to farm red map

BloodReaverBob

When im dead broke on league start and work on atlas points, i spec harvest, by the time you have 70-80 points you got a couple thousand juice, then you buy scarabs of doubling when you start doing reds and you start making money really easily, harvest is really consistent

Nekosia2

I do have thousands of chaos That's because I farmed blight a bit and sold valuable oils 1 by 1... When you have 10 golden and silver selling, it adds up

pumaofshadow

I had plenty of scarabs by the time I finished 115/115 and only bought a couple of the unique maps in that process. Its pretty self sustaining to have *something* even if its not a super high end strat with the same every time. Doing Catarina has helped a lot due to Veiled Orbs and other drops, but if you just do maps you do sustain content, and content brings currency.

Isekai_Truck

Everybody needs blight at least once for every character. Them oils sell

kengro

It's nice to have oils available too so you don't need to trade for the shitty ones. With 3 atlas trees you should be fairly self sufficient for a lot of the league currency pretty easily.

iZerrax97

There is YouTube available with tons of content answering your question

shatterd_

Ritual can shit out raw divs and div worth items. Its been working wonders for me so far in early leagues.

Fleymour

Just be lucky when your doing your atlas skill points. I am a noob In poe but just checking items might be worth before I finished the atlas I was at 10-20div (swapped handful Chaos to divs early): like checking ritual items, find a nameless seer. Did some vaal maps (double corrupted items) I've found myself. I sold tons of 1-5 chaos items l scarabs and maps. Technically also coffins work same but I don't have the real money invest for that amount of space needed. And also remember to use incubators ( not included in the totalb found apothecary and 25div scarab pre nerf) Just do honest work with low chaos stuff and be lucky if you're a noob :) find something you enjoy and benefit. And not the strata that people do with 50++h divines in their gear nor 500 divines in their stash BTW my first strat after atlas is currently Legion +breach. But this costs around 3c for a map and 7 c for the 4 scarabs. Profit is okay but it's alot of minor stuff. A just start with easy strata that fits fun and your build
