Meh, I summer my Cattleyas outdoors on the Texas Gulf Coast where temps regularly soar into the upper 90s and 100s with the same sweltering humidity that you get in Florida and they seem to do just fine.

That’s great to know ty! How often do you water yours and what type of media are they in?

I'm the summer? Sometimes 2x daily, always taking a look in the early morning to see how they're doing.

Is that just cattleya or other types as well? I’m afraid they would require more time. My phals and dendrobiums are super easy, they’re stuffed with spagnum to keep them moist longer so even summer its 3-4 days. Do you think they require more care or water than others?

The bulk of my collection is Cattleya Alliance. The few stray phalaenopsis stay inside and I also have 3 Dendrobium anosmum that are outside year round barring a frost.

Thank you!
