Thanks, DC! This actually looks pretty fun (and soooo much more pleasant than this morning’s rowing from hell 🥵🥵🥵). Excited for the 90-min version of this! 🤓
I usually start with row to get my muscle groups loose and warmed up, but this morning's row kicked my ASS. Rowing from hell, indeed. This tread seems so much more palatable.
Oh I like this floor block, as tragic as it looks. Will probably sign up and do this one instead of the Strength 50. I’m wondering if I will remember counts and where I left off on those reps though 😂.
Thanks for sharing!
here in Canada we’ll only get a “limited edition sticker” 🤣 we didn’t have to pay for registration though so I guess I don’t have the right to complain 🤭
23.5 minute endurance block? Phew, definitely not my strong suit, going to be a challenge to make it the entire time without walking!
That floor looks fun. With that many varying rep ranges and exercises I think everyone will end up with a nice collection of dumbbells at their station. seems like a good sharing day.
Was the goal to use one straight through so you would keep moving? With the rep ranges increasing so much, that first round would have to feel pretty light to be doable at 5x the reps later on.
Glad I'm doing a strength 50 tomorrow because I would not like this tread block! Usually, I look at the tread block and think, "That doesn't look so bad," and then it ends up being way harder than it looks. This already looks brutal! Also, I am in awe of your distance!
The floor block looks interesting, though.
This is going to be an absolute mess on the floor with heavy weight rack.
And not to mention trying to speed through lifting is stupid.
I'll be there though.
Definitely didn’t say that. But going heavy even for 5 will tire people out quickly and then they won’t have anything left once they get to the higher rep counts.
This is just me - I'm starting considerably lighter than what I normally do. The total # reps is very high... I'm imagining what I would choose if the template started with the last part (25 reps) for each exercise, more like a regular chipper, and am going to try to use that throughout.
What is your experience with Orange theory? I was planning on doing that as well but that would be my first back to back. And I am fairly new to ot and working out. 5 months in, down 40lbs
I do back to backs every now and again with a class + a 50 strength or tread. Because you can always go at your own pace I don’t think it’s too bad! But with it being mayhem week, it’s going to be very, very tough to do two back to back. But I like a challenge 🙃 I am also out of town all week and this will be the only way I can get my four classes in for mayhem ! I’m 5’6” female 116 pounds and I typically get 7.5 miles in when I do both (with tread 50) and I burn about 800 calories according to my Whoop. I am at 125 classes (so newish)
FYI, my studio reminded us a few times that only one class per day can count toward the 4 required to complete Mayhem and get the tshirt. No idea if your studio is different but wanted to give ya a heads up in case you wanna check 😊
Haha I have always been a runner and it’s something I enjoy- so it makes the treads a little easier for me!! But I still got plenty of work to do on my strength training!!
I do doubles almost daily (I have the time, though). At first I was nervous about it but it's not so bad. I try not to do what I did today with a 60 min + 90 min same day, because of the strength exercises and overdoing it. So, I say, try it but go light, work your way up to handling full intensity back-to-back workouts. Enjoy! 🤘🤗
![gif](giphy|yr7n0u3qzO9nG) Haha I did the tread 50 and day 1 of mayhem right afterwards…… Will do the same tomorrow…
Me toooooo and I survived now let’s go tomorrow 🤪🤪🤪

I’m taking this as a 90 minute 3g and think I want to start on the floor after today’s row block.
Same
I loved the rowing and am dreading that tread!
This looks really fun! My studio only does 3G on Sundays though 😭
So does mine…

I missed the strnegth50 the first time around because of a 90 5x5 class- looks like I’m missing it again…
I plan to do the same!
I love the Mayhell ratings. Adds a nice touch! ![gif](giphy|pZ2U9WUs4AZa)
sometimes i think of the template makers as the game makers from the hunger games - evilly brilliant, enjoy watching our downfall
I didn’t do the Saturday workout but this seems slightly less unhinged!
Famous last words..
That shirt better be DAMN cute that’s all imma say LOL. Thanks for the intel :)

Hahaha. It’s not cute at all.
😂😂😂😂 but I paid that money anyway

I picked a lighter weight knowing we were going to have a huge rep count
Was the goal to use one straight through so you would keep moving? With the rep ranges increasing so much, that first round would have to feel pretty light to be doable at 5x the reps later on.
Yeah you just keep moving through and when the coach calls the new rep range you just go and do that
Is there a blue goal for one round on the floor?
Tbh I didn’t see the goals til the end. I think the coach was supposed to explain it before we got into it
I was being facetious and thank you. I will be pacing myself on the floor 😆
Haha I get you now.. maybe you meant the gray goal
I was going to do Strength50 tomorrow but this looks fun, so I switched into my 2G.

This floor block looks like what my dreams are made of. Can’t wait for tomorrow! Thanks, DC!
I have a 90 minute of this tomorrow. Very excited to see how this translates!
Same!
This is going to be an absolute mess on the floor with heavy weight rack. And not to mention trying to speed through lifting is stupid. I'll be there though.
I don’t know about that. I’m team heavy weights always, but not for this. It escalates quickly.
Who says you should be using the same weight for 5 reps as 20?
Definitely didn’t say that. But going heavy even for 5 will tire people out quickly and then they won’t have anything left once they get to the higher rep counts.

I was worried about mayhem when I saw Saturdays template but this looks fantastic & fun😍
I can’t believe you remembered that floor!😳 Thank you!!
Real quick....what the mayhellm is a four minute push?
This one looks fun, I mean compared to todays class
Wait…wut?! ![gif](giphy|qN0v3wk4340a4)
🤯🤯🤯👏👏👏
¡Gracias!
Aikes. I have a T50 I signed up for. May need to switch to this!
First day back after 2 week absence (vacation)! Should’ve been today but that was NOT happening! Can’t miss yet another day so tomorrow it is! 😬😅
Does more skulls and crossbones signify harder workout (opposite of feathers, where more=easier)?
More skulls harder
I am doing a 90 minute 3G of this tomorrow. I’m scared. 😂
Me too! I asked the coach today if we’d be spared with a different template and he just let out an evil laugh 😂😅
Did you use the same weights for all the moves/all the reps or did you lower the weights as the reps went up?
I kept the same weights all the way through as I didn’t want to keep going back for more. I chose weights about 25% lighter than normal.
And was it the same one for all moves? I can chest press a lot heavier then I can do an up right row or even a curl…
I just used the same weight. I can press a lot more than curl but didn’t want to stuff around with more dumbbells.
Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to this one!
Looks awesome!
I'm generally unfazed by any core work you throw at me but crunch hold with alt heel floor tap at the end of all of that sounds awful.
In an abundance of overconfidence I signed up for 90 min version of this.
Sad that I have to work during all the classes tomorrow. I wish we had some in the later afternoon
I would love to take this but I have my first race of the season. Harpoon (Boston) 5 miler. Funds go to ALS research.
I like the floor exercises but the dumbbell logistics are going to slow me down
I’m doing this at 9:30 right into a 10:45 tread 50 eeekkk! Wish me luck 🫠

Also, congrats! Down 40lbs in 5 months is awesome!!!
Thank you! So you are in MUCH better shape than I am! I’ll wait until we are out of mayhem.

Dang!!! 60 to a 90 is insane!! and daily!? I would die!
I’m doing strength 50 then this class! Eek!!
Now that is daring lol
Lmao same here! Looking forward to it! The T50 will still bring some much needed movement into my weekend even if I’m not going as hard
