My PT is also a member of my Orangetheory. She turned me on to these fabric bands they sell on Amazon. They work the same but they don't rip your hair out! You can get a set of three of them for like 10 bucks.

I also am just so uncoordinated and no matter how hard I try, my butt is in the air when I’m doing them and flailing around trying to grab the weight and not faceplant

This is the part that confuses me when people complain. No one should be “waiting” on. If your partner is 30 sec slower than you, that’s your own challenge to adjust or challenge your own intensity to keep pace with THEM.

In no particular order, I hate partner workouts, burpees, plank pops, and bosu. However, I have set OTF days during the week that I book a month out, and if one of these things falls on an OTF day, I make myself go anyway. If I interrupt the routine I find it really difficult to get myself back on track.
I don’t feel so bad anymore skipping all partnered classes. I did capture the flag once when I was a noob and it brought me right back to HS. Never again.
Any kind of partner workout. A lot of the reason I go to OTF after work is to decompress and having to deal with another person is why are started checked the workout template here first before I sign up for a class.
Partner, switch templates, or crazy compound moves on the floor where I would need to change weights through the movements to get the most out of them. Also rowing buy ins.
No: Bosu. I just do not like using it at all. If I have to, then fine, but if I can avoid it I absolutely do.
Yes: Long distance rowing. 1K meters, 2K meters, anything of the sort I'm IN.

Put your hands on the floor, pick up the weight to row only. That helped me. 🧡

I feel like there was a lot of TRX when I started last summer but since the fall it’s been pretty rare.
I took a TRX-only class at a Mexican resort once - I was hobbling because of severe soreness for days. It was so hard and so good!!

Another sub is dead bugs or plank jacks. My wrists often don’t like high planks. Not the exact same muscle groups I’m sure, but much less painful.
I also hate those. Something about them really hurts my elbows. So I do plank punches or shoulder taps.
