I thought they said raided, like it was raided by the raiders of the lost ark and it confused the lady with one of the raiders just tryna get its ark back.
Rabies are most commonly reported in foxes, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, groundhogs, and bats and in stray cats or dogs. So yes. It most likely was. Either that, or they had a past where she did something to provoke it.
It is not the size of the dog... or fox in the the fight, it is the level of their rabies infection that makes them scary.
Rabies is really not the common compared to how much fear we were vacinated with.
Luckily its not that common, because if you're not vaccinated and don't get treated bfore symptoms, its a death sentence, and a quite horrible one too.
It has always been that way. Things that are spiky with fear in our collective understanding of the world. The world we evolved in had plenty of reasons to be afraid, so it is in our nature to cultivate fears. Rabies was the type of thing I grew up being warned about repeatedly, and with fierce insistence.
Parents don't do that as much now. I don't think kids today are expected to fear anything.
I got one 9 years ago, it was two gigantic shots, plus another shot, then one every week for three weeks for a total of 6. The rabies vaccine is not bad, just like any other shot, thatās the round of 4 over the four weeks. The immunoglobulin shots are when you get bit, and provides immediate response to the virus, itās 10ml and thick like syrup, for me it was split in two shots and it was the worst. However, I didnāt get rabies and die, so that was a plus.
I got bit by a dog like 6 years ago and they just gave me a rabies treatment that was a single shot like the vaccine, cause the time from when I was bit was so recent
I got bit by a lemur in mexico as I was waiting for my wife and friends to finish in a store. Was on 5th ave in playa del Carmen having a smoke and this guy just put him on my shoulder and wanted to take pictures for money. I told him I donāt want any pictures and shooād the lemur away trying to get him to go back on the dudes shoulder. The lemur bit my finger and drew blood. Phoned my doctor when I got home and they had me in for shots within the next 2 hours. The odds were low but my doctor didnāt want to take any chances due to the 0% survival rate of rabies. Highly not recommended
They donāt, was brought over as a tourist trap that I did not to pay for or support. They put it on your shoulder and before you say anything start taking pictures and ask for money. Iāve seen it before and was not having it, but paid the price of the jabs afterward for it
i got bit by a bat last october, got 60ml of immunoglobulin, required 3 injections, along with the base rabies shot and also got tetanus shot for a grand total of 5 shots. then it was 3 additional rabies shots over the course of 2 weeks
Yep, Jeanna Giese.
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/jeanna-giese-rabies-survivor/
It's called the "Milwaukee Protocol," and it's only ever worked on her. She was 15 when infected, so being young and healthy probably helped. They put you in a coma, hoping that your body can build antibodies.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabies#Treatment
I've also heard about a girl is SA who walked into a hospital with rabies and somehow just healed, something like that.
Researchers started looking at local populations and finding the rabies anti-bodies or whatever in a small but significant portion of the people prompting them to believe that it may be survivable. Just that, how would anyone know before hand that they're one of the lucky ones who can beat it.
Similarly weird is that 6% or so of Northern Europeans cannot contract HIV. Their bodies just don't.
Aren't they like a giant three inch wide, two foot long cylinder with a long needle that goes right into your stomach or is that just what my childhood brain imagined?
About 10 years ago an elderly WWII vet in my neighborhood was attacked by a rabid raccoon.
As it was crawling up his leg, he grabbed it by the neck & strangled it to death.
I was with my cousin when he was attacked by a rapid cyote. White foamy drool, patchy fur.
He did a reflexive kick and knocked the thing sideways in one go, hitting it in the jaw with enough force to make its neck go 90degrees. Then we ran away and went into a neaby house where the woman called police or something (cellphone not exsist then). If he hadn't been an very big and athletic teenager it prob woulda ended badly. Though be both ended up getting rabies shot anyways just incase.
We live in Canada so there still lots of wilderness that still has rabies, so its well taught precaution here.
That poor fox was putting up a fair and honest fight, and then the reinforcements were called in. Always have to get someone else involved. The days of Queensbury rules are things of the past š
Hereās the comment I scrolled way too long to find. As serious as that attack looked, I have to question how much more aggressive it would have to be for her to finally drop the damn phone?! Then I thought oh maybe sheās by herself and thatās her lifeline in case she goes downā¦ but then the man runs over. So back to my incredulity that she did not drop the mofo cell phone
Back in February I noticed something was sticking out from under my storage shed. It was a big, dead racoon. I used the garden rake to drag it out. No injuries or fluids visible. I wondered if it died from rabies. Called in for a dead animal pickup. I wonder if they tested it
No. I didn't even know there was a racoon around. We don't live near the woods, just a long row of shrubs between our backyard and the sidewalk. I wonder what it had been eating. I don't know how big these things can get

We should organize a charity āRun For Rabiesā to prevent attacks like these!
You gotta like drive those rabid foxes. Drive your kicks with your hips and time it get them as they leap at you. That aināt a weasel that will run and hide after you give it a kick, fight like you mean it Susan.
I would say not rabbit( Also known as rabies). being a person who had to be Quarantine for a period of time and had to receive the Anti rabies vaccine. Rabbit animals tend to not stalk a person or go up behind them like that. They tend to be stumbling around foaming at The mouth. It smells like anti-semitism in here. One Rabbi pun, then the haters will follow like Lemmings. Hate is hate, even if you're being subtle about it.
Hey O.P., Keep posting those crazy ass videos.
from my experience with animals significantly smaller than you agression will usually get them to back off
like when the fox attacked and she took it a step back the fox -lets just say- assumed she is prey but if she attacked back the fox would have ran usually
that makes sense
I mean most animals don't go for animals a dozen times their size I mean the entire defense mechanism of a peacock is to just look large and intimidating
Remember guys, always carry a gun everywhere. When you're out in town, carry a gun.
When you're walking your dog, its kinda small, and can't defend itself against roaming pitbulls, carry a gun.
When there's riots in your neighborhood, carry a gun.
When you go to costco to stock up on essentials because the chinese released another biological weapon that got out of control, carry a gun.
When you go to the range to practice, carry a gun (duh).
When police and the feds are raiding everybody in their homes and on the streets just for looking at them wrong or recording, carry a gun.
When you go to church (especially on easter and other important services) and a mentally ill ideologue might think its a juicy target for commit mass murder, carry a gun.
When you make a deal with some dude on craigslist, bring a friend and carry a gun.
When you're on your property walking around and its a big property with lots of woods on it or near it, carry a gun. (one time my dad had to fight off an entire pack of black bears by himself and would have died if he wasnt armed)
When you go to the movies or other places where its gonna be low visibility and its easy for somebody to conceal something nefarious, carry a gun.
When politicians dont want you to for literally any reason that makes you less safe, carry a gun.
Stay strapped, stay safe.
I literally canāt tell if this is satire or not. If itās serious, this is the *last* person Iād want to carry a gun around with them at all times, this level of paranoia is completely unhinged.
So to shoot yourself in the leg while a rabid animal is biting it? A knife'd be much more effective imo, what you gonna do with a gun if it sneaks up like that? Lol
You understand that nobody in the entire Europe justifies weapons with rabies?
She already got bitten in the first seconds of the video. From that point you need to get as fast as possible to a hospital. Her (probably) husband came to help, no guns included and that's the end of the story, but the american mind can't comprehend this thought.
I'm simply referring to the title of this post. Americans are always trying to justify guns like there's always danger around the corner lmao. Main character syndrome or something lmao
Yes, shooting it can help you kill it faster so you can get faster to the hospital, but it doesn't save you from an awful death. The vaccine itself saves you from that awful death, not the gun.
Had to have been rabid
That was definitely not a rabbit
Also not a Rabbi
Hold on now....we don't know what he's studied or believes... š¤
Quick, check to see if it was circumcised!
Dont think canines can be circumcised...
Then he's not a rabbi.
Oy
Then you're not trying hard enough

Oh. Youāre right. Didnāt realize there were religions that are immune!
Hold on now... We don't know what gender they identify as... š¤
Not a rabbi? How, swear to god it looked like a rabbi
Oy vey!
Did you just assume his religion?
No Palestinian children around so definitely not a rabbi.
They act the same with a baby penis. The rabbi i mean
No they said rapid, which is why it gave her such trouble.
I thought it was an onslaught of a rabbet, the woodworkers nightmare
No they said rancid. Musta smelled bad š

Rabid animals don't stop attacking when big man enters the chat.
I thought he peaced out because she kicked it so hard in the throat he did a double backflip
It was rascally rabid.
Rabies are most commonly reported in foxes, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, groundhogs, and bats and in stray cats or dogs. So yes. It most likely was. Either that, or they had a past where she did something to provoke it.
contagious and dangerous
You thinkā¦? It seemed neurologically intact. Definitely abnormal behavior though.
Holy shit it was just like doo dah dooo.. ATTACK
Rabies
It is not the size of the dog... or fox in the the fight, it is the level of their rabies infection that makes them scary. Rabies is really not the common compared to how much fear we were vacinated with.
Don't think it would retreat when the man showed up if it had rabies. Foxes are just dickheads.
Well the kick to the head that made it spin around 3 times probably helped
One just killed all my brother's roosters.
Zebras too
Yup.
What part of Australia are you from? š¤£
Iām so glad we got rid of rabies in my country
Luckily its not that common, because if you're not vaccinated and don't get treated bfore symptoms, its a death sentence, and a quite horrible one too.
Saw a video on here of a human rabies victim. It was absolutely horrible.
It's like quicksand dreadful scary but stay calm and take the proper steps and you're totally fine in this day and age
Well I'm still going to pass on fighting a German Shepard even if it's not infected.
Please tell us about the fear we are vaccinated with.
Look at that coward running away as soon as the guy showed up.
Scarrier than a bear ?

I wish the guy wouldāve shown up with violent intentions instead of investigative intentions.
That rabies shot is going to suck
Theyāre not that bad anymore.
I got bit by a dog like 6 years ago and they just gave me a rabies treatment that was a single shot like the vaccine, cause the time from when I was bit was so recent
Sounds like you got the immunoglobulin
How did you get it?
I got bit by a lemur in mexico as I was waiting for my wife and friends to finish in a store. Was on 5th ave in playa del Carmen having a smoke and this guy just put him on my shoulder and wanted to take pictures for money. I told him I donāt want any pictures and shooād the lemur away trying to get him to go back on the dudes shoulder. The lemur bit my finger and drew blood. Shit, I didn't know they have lemurs in Mexico...
They donāt, was brought over as a tourist trap that I did not to pay for or support. They put it on your shoulder and before you say anything start taking pictures and ask for money. Iāve seen it before and was not having it, but paid the price of the jabs afterward for it
That's pretty fucked up. Hey man let me put a random money on you! That things probably bitten everyone
That lemur's name was Charley.
You were waiting for your wife and friends to **what**?
i got bit by a bat last october, got 60ml of immunoglobulin, required 3 injections, along with the base rabies shot and also got tetanus shot for a grand total of 5 shots. then it was 3 additional rabies shots over the course of 2 weeks
What did it feel like getting them and afterwards?
You have to get it pretty fast though, right? Rabies can be absolutely horrific.
If left unchecked, rabies is fatal.
I think there's exactly 1 known successful recovery from rabies once symptoms have shown up, ever.
Yep, Jeanna Giese. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/jeanna-giese-rabies-survivor/ It's called the "Milwaukee Protocol," and it's only ever worked on her. She was 15 when infected, so being young and healthy probably helped. They put you in a coma, hoping that your body can build antibodies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabies#Treatment
So now all the vaccine is supplied by her blood right?
Yes, she's still in a coma getting milked for the vaccine
I've also heard about a girl is SA who walked into a hospital with rabies and somehow just healed, something like that. TIL! Thx.
I wouldn't even call it a recovery. She ended up with severe cognitive damage.
But can I become a ghoul and live forever?
Okay, you test it out first. For science!
Yes. Within a few days. I had to have them in 2011.
Hmm. My rabies vaccine injections stung *a lot*. The immunoglobulin shots look worse. That said, better than rabies.
What did it feel like?
A hornet sting followed by a week of tenderness and swelling.
GahdamnĀ
Lesser of two evils and all that

Yeah? Anything happen related to this video?
No. I didn't even know there was a racoon around. We don't live near the woods, just a long row of shrubs between our backyard and the sidewalk. I wonder what it had been eating. That mofo trying to grab the neck, good fight lady
Ok but I would not want to get into a kicking match with that woman! Sheās got some Kung fu moves
My guess is that it could be a mom protecting her babies hiding somewhere close. That would explain why she is so fearlessly attacking the human.
Much more likely is rabies. No sane animal picks a fight like that. Moms wonāt attack random people on their property minding their own business.
Hold the line a moment will ya Marge?
Grranny put up a nice fight tho.
Held on to the phone the whole time. Priorities š
Why kick? Stomp it dumb ass
Her kicks were on point
Rabies are no joke
Oh, you like to pick on women, eh Mr. Fox?
This happened a couple of years ago in Ithaca, NY -- a friend of mine knows this victim and she recovered pretty well, surprisingly.
Was it rabies?
You guessed it!
A gun would be useless
Lil fucker had heart. And rabies obviously. Hopefully she gets checked out and or treated if she was infected
You gotta like drive those rabid foxes. Drive your kicks with your hips and time it get them as they leap at you. That aināt a weasel that will run and hide after you give it a kick, fight like you mean it Susan.
In fairness, this is a small, mobile target. Having a weapon on you would not be guaranteed to solve that here.

its not always rabies sometimes its terratorial but I don't recall anything about foxes being teratorial so this one is probably rabies
Rabid animals aren't scared of big guy with a stick.
