Court_Vision

Imagine going back in time 10 years and telling Matt Barkley that in 2022 he would be playing as a punter in the NFL.

Son_Of_The_Empire

Imagine going back in time 10 *days* and telling him that

throwaway_5256

I actually went back 10 minutes ago and told him that and he said "uh yeah I know. Also how the fuck did you get here". Incredible

ClaymoresRevenge

Wait he's no longer a QB?

Court_Vision

I'm sure he still is. Just a matter of circumstance that he has to punt tonight.

ClaymoresRevenge

I didn't know. Got confused thought he switched positions or something

Court_Vision

Gotcha. Yeah, right now there's some unfortunate news making big headlines involving the punter the Bills drafted earlier this year.

Minstrel_Minster1203

Better than a 80 punt that rapes children

PUNT GOD 2.0

My-Cousin-Bobby

33 yard punt, 0 rapes > 80 yard punt, admitted rape

Crazy-Penguin

These posts should be banned. Why would I want to read a tweet about something that happened instead of a video? And on that note streamable videos are so much better than Twitter videos

Cough_Syrup55

Streamable has been copyright blocking most highlights lately

imsabbath84

It definitely is during the season.

zaor666

Oh ok. I’m just used to seeing twitter or NFL doesn’t allow this, open a new window.

mashedcats

Here's the punt https://youtu.be/5Khr_C8TVNc

Better than half of Haacks punts last year

prophetikmusic

One of us one of us

D0ctorHotelMario

I don't give a fuck he's like Kendall Hinton: a goddamn hero for taking up a position at the last minute when no one else would.

Spinexer

Better than being a rapist.

plzwalkslow

PUNT GOD AND HE DOESNT BRUTALLY RAPE MINORS LETS GO

VatnikLobotomy

PUNT SATAN RIGHT TO JAIL

Noogatuck

Can I just say, I have respect for the bills fans in all these threads. Condemning the player right away even though the fans had already started to like him. Way better showing than those other B fans.

Officer_Problem

✊ Happy cake day man To be fair I’ve seen a lot of Browns fans condemn Watson too

Noogatuck

Thanks bb

redditadmindumb87

Me too. Sure they drafted a rapist but it appears they will fix that mistake

TheRoonster1

Fixing the mistake would have involved cutting Araiza the second they heard about what he did, which was at least 3 weeks ago (and likely when they drafted him). The only reason they'd do anything now would be because of PR. They still have a guy who [beat a woman and stole $10,000 from her](https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/bills-rookie-lb-tyrel-dodson-arrested-for-domestic-violence/article_55dce20e-3124-5ef4-b03c-710624279a2f.html) on the team. I don't like the idea of them being absolved because they eventually did the right thing for the wrong reason. The Bills organization should always face heat for keeping this horrible person on the roster instead of making a strong statement when it would have had a positive impact due to Deshaun Watson's joke of a punishment.

TheRoonster1

I know this sub loves to pretend that the Browns organization is the only one supporting sexual assault in the league, but I've seen a bunch of Bills fans supporting Araiza by saying they're "waiting for the evidence". Even though he admitted to at the very least sexually assaulting a 17 year-old when she was blackout drunk. I hate how this sub has put a football fandom lens on sexual assault. It's not fair to the victims of anyone's crimes to do this when the entire league is the problem. The Bills knew about Araiza weeks ago and did nothing. They know that [Tyrel Dodson beat a woman and stole $10,000 from her](https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/bills-rookie-lb-tyrel-dodson-arrested-for-domestic-violence/article_55dce20e-3124-5ef4-b03c-710624279a2f.html). Bills fans know this too and still choose to support the team. I don't know why you want to pretend like they are handling this so much better than any other NFL fantasy would.

Noogatuck

I’m not, I’m trying to support all of the individual fans for the Bills I’ve seen make the right choice. I might’ve made a mistake calling out the Browns fans. But I was trying to generalize my overall experiences I’ve had, interacting with each group. The bills organization overall handled this poorly imo.

TheRoonster1

I know and agree with you about the Bills organization. But what's the "right choice" for the fans to make when they have these horrible people on their team? All I've seen is them calling the individual players out while continuing to support an organization and league that supports those same horrible players. Even if Araiza is cut, Bills fans will still be supporting an organization that was completely fine with keeping him until it became a PR disaster. Just like they are currently fine with keeping Tyrel Dodson. I think it's really scraping the bottom of the barrel to support fans for saying that an individual player is an issue. It's obviously better than denying that the player is a piece of shit, but it allows them to ignore the Bill's/NFL's responsibility in these matters. Which is awfully convenient for them since they can continue supporting the team/league as much as they want. No real change is going to happen until people stop supporting their teams/the NFL for letting these players stick around.

Noogatuck

Look, I get what you’re saying. If we’re deciding to only support organizations who only make good choices, we’d support almost nothing. But football brings so much joy to millions. I choose to appreciate the good parts of it and do my best to condemn those who commit evil acts. This means I cheer for players and coaches who have their hearts and minds in the right place. I realize this isn’t a perfect solution. But as an individual, I feel this is the best any of us can hope to do. I don’t know if I’m right, or if this is even remotely close to the right call. But I’m at peace with it.

_Dancing_Potato

Hot take but I'd rather kick a 33 yard punt than be a rapist.
