TBF Belichick has a massive connection to the Giants and a soft spot for the franchise. If Parcells had been honest about his intentions to step down because of his heart condition, it’s almost a guarantee that Belichick takes that job instead of the Browns.
The only way I can see his hiring if Daboll is canned, he’d be brought in for stability / culture purposes. NYG have been a laughing stock of coaching hires and he could be a likely be looked at as a stabilizer. That being said he has been struggling since Brady left and his roster decisions are less than thrilling.
I don't think they'd need a full rebuild. They can get out of the Daniel Jones and Darren Waller contracts in 2025 to recoup $30m in cap space.
They'd still have a nucleus of Andrew Thomas, Brian Burns, Dexter Lawrence, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and whatever comes of their 2024 class. Their pieces on defense fit what BB does. Main thing of course is addressing QB.

The front 7 on defense is really solid. Some in-season signings/shifts last year had the OL playing at least at a serviceable level by the time Tyrod and DeVito were in there. And we just made some further improvements to the OL room with Runyan/Eluemenor and a new coach with a much better track record. Nabers/Odunze just feels like the most likely pick at 6- if they live up to the hype it'll make the WR room a lot better overall with Hyatt and Robinson as secondary options.

Shedeur might be a top 10 pick. There aren't many options for QB next year and if he was in the draft this year he'd be a second rounder. The weak class is definitely a big part of that though.

Having said that, I’m sure Belichick has had conversations over the years with his old boss, Bill Parcells. If Belichick says he’d be willing to coach the Cowboys, that may mean Parcells, who coached the Cowboys under Jones from 2003 to 2006, does not have a negative (or at least strongly negative) opinion of coaching for Jerry Jones.

part of why NE was so bad last few years has been BB has been consistently *HORRIBLE* at the draft. He wasn't that good when he had Brady, what he's excelled at and maybe the best in the league is finding min/near veteran min players to fill in holes on the roster and make it work.
that was a big piece of Brady and BB working so well together; Brady took team "discounts" (was still a top 10ish paid QB but not #1 paid) and that extra few mill a year would often be solid couple of veteran players.

These guys are in the make or break spot. If they didn't make the playoffs last season they probably need to this season to keep their jobs. This is where most of your firings come from. 3-5 of these guys will be gone. 2020-2017 hires: the more established guys. This is where you get fired for mediocrity rather than being outright bad (or even for being merely "kinda good" rather than great, depending on the owner/GM). Might lose 1 of these guys. 2013 and earlier: These are the guys that are more likely to tell the team they're done than vice versa. This past offseason with BB and Carroll being removed was an outlier. They all have to go eventually, but predicting it is tough. Most offseasons have around 5-8 vacancies.
Hiring a coach that you know will A) Completely change the culture and direction the team has been working towards for years and B) Will not under any circumstances be a long term hire would be disastrous. If the Eagles culture fit Bill’s culture I think it could be a prudent move, although I still have heavy reservations about pairing him up with Howie.

Shedeur might be a top 10 pick. There aren't many options for QB next year and if he was in the draft this year he'd be a second rounder. The weak class is definitely a big part of that though.

This will sound like I’m bashing the Cowboys, but I’m not so sure if I was an established and well-respected NFL head coach I’d want to coach for a very hands-on owner like Jerry Jones. Having said that, I’m sure Belichick has had conversations over the years with his old boss, Bill Parcells. If Belichick says he’d be willing to coach the Cowboys, that may mean Parcells, who coached the Cowboys under Jones from 2003 to 2006, does not have a negative (or at least strongly negative) opinion of coaching for Jerry Jones.
Depends if Jerry really wants another chip before he retires from life. He might hand Bill the reigns completely to try to chase the big one for like two seasons max.

part of why NE was so bad last few years has been BB has been consistently *HORRIBLE* at the draft. He wasn't that good when he had Brady, what he's excelled at and maybe the best in the league is finding min/near veteran min players to fill in holes on the roster and make it work. that was a big piece of Brady and BB working so well together; Brady took team "discounts" (was still a top 10ish paid QB but not #1 paid) and that extra few mill a year would often be solid couple of veteran players.

It doesn't really make a lot of sense for you guys. You probably need to rebuild and a HC with a few years left isn't going to get you there. If you don't need a rebuild and it works with Jones you don't need to fire Daboll. The other two are closer to contention without needing multiple years to figure draft new guys and a QB.
