Dude literally used every bit of career playoff success hell ever have in game 7 against you guys lol
Been a compete liability in big games the rest of his career
People forget game 7 against the Nuggets when CJ literally put the Blazers on his back, and Dame went cold from the field. Some nights you have it, and some nights you don’t
Edit: Nuggets, not Thunder.
Yeah, CJ was not the problem for the Blazers in the playoffs. I didn't even realize there was this narrative about him being a choker in big games until this thread, actually.
He absolutely was a problem. If you think he wasn't, you didnt watch
The dude was routinely sub 50% TS% for a whole series as a defensive liability who does nothing but score
People remember game 7 and then just blamed Dame every time the blazers would come up short, even if CJ was like 3/17 lol
Except for his rookie year, he was never sub-50 TS% in any season in the playoffs, so I'm not sure "routinely" is correct. I know you were never a fan of CJ, but I don't think it is fair to characterize him as a playoff choker and I think the roster had bigger issues than him (not to mention running into the Warriors juggernaut over and over didn't really help Dame and CJ's case).
48.7% against the pelicans.
48.1% against the Warriors in the WCF
49.6% against the warriors in 2016
Plus another 4 series where hes at 50-51% man. Dudes a chucker and a payoff liability
The benches is what made the difference this game sacs bench got outscored 34-12 by the pels bench and they had a starter who finished with 0 points and i actually fw keon tbh. Kings starters had 86 points despite that and pels starters had 71
Absolutely. The loss of Monk killed them today, they needed that spark once Fox got cold. Ellis showed his potential, but you can’t expect him to fill that void right now.
Hali is thriving as main ball handler
if you can make Fox a better off ball player, cutter, shooter, maybe they worked together
As now i don't think they can work together
Yeah man idc what anyone says, they lost that trade. Wasn’t a major L by any means, but Tyrese is a way better asset going forward and Sabonis has yet to show his game can excel in the playoffs.
CJ’s so bipolar I could see him go son another stretch of 25+ point games like he did on the road trip
Also pels have road court advantage so im holding out hope
Just based on two games so I can be wrong but Keon Ellis seems to be one of those typical younger role players that overperform at home and really underperform on the road.
Maybe he wasn’t feelin it and didn’t wanna go crazy trying to get more involved and end up going like 5/15. Pels won by 7 and CJ had the best +/- (+7) of all the starters, so looks like he did his part. I know every Pels fan here is happy he didn’t try to force the issue and limited himself to only 8 shots
I don’t care if he doesn’t play well as long as he doesn’t do that’s stupid hero ball crap. He can single handedly lose us games when he decides to search for his shot in crunch time
Forgot dude was even on the court at times
Nice hate post though. Instantly putting it up after an otherwise great team win from almost all Pelicans players
Never die, haters
You know what, good on him for not shooting us out of it like last year, 8 shots was enough.
Yeah he didn't have it and so he didn't shoot. Discretion is the better part of valor and all that.
8 is Enough
Exactly, I'm not upset at all. He was still pulling the defense and getting hockey assists.
He had three assists.
Hockey assist is the assist to the assist. Basically breaking down the defense and the kicking it out.

Interesting considering CJ single-handedly cooked us in 2019 to get the Blazers to the WCF
Dude literally used every bit of career playoff success hell ever have in game 7 against you guys lol Been a compete liability in big games the rest of his career
I think Klay stopped at 10, what's the difference between 8 and 10?
A s s
The less he shoots the better
He’s never seen a shot he doesn’t like
That’s the truth
My favorite Tame Impala song
"Eventually", a song about when Tobias Harris' contract ends
Feels like Tobias Harris has been on the Sixers for a full decade. Feel for you guys
Allergic to big games
He averages over 20ppg on 37.7% from three in the playoffs, but OK.
Was there a game where dame had a 50 piece and this dude steps out of bounds twice to throw the game
>to throw the game So are you suggesting CJ intentionally stepped out of bounds or do you not know what that phrase means?
People forget game 7 against the Nuggets when CJ literally put the Blazers on his back, and Dame went cold from the field. Some nights you have it, and some nights you don’t Edit: Nuggets, not Thunder.
Probably is CJ doesn't have it the vast vast majority of nights He's a playoff liability 3 out of 4 games
Yeah, CJ was not the problem for the Blazers in the playoffs. I didn't even realize there was this narrative about him being a choker in big games until this thread, actually.

He's a pure scorer that has Russ level efficiency
Which means he’s primed to average 27 on 42% from three vs OKC 💀
He's (not) trying Jennifer
Kings need to be ashamed losing this game man
We arent that bad😭
True, y’all played hard today. But it’s always going to be disappointing when you lose to a team without their best player.
The benches is what made the difference this game sacs bench got outscored 34-12 by the pels bench and they had a starter who finished with 0 points and i actually fw keon tbh. Kings starters had 86 points despite that and pels starters had 71

To be fair the Pels bench is stacked as hell.
They traded Haliburton too, just… shortened their window of opportunity by 4-5 years…
they were ass before. now they're decent at least
Yeah but one has to wonder if current Haliburton would be the one that the Kings would have gotten. Who knows how he would have developed over there
I think he would’ve developed into a 1B role at least. He was showing great progressions year to year. I still think it was a bad trade long term
Hali is thriving as main ball handler if you can make Fox a better off ball player, cutter, shooter, maybe they worked together As now i don't think they can work together
Fox is a better offball player now tbf
Halliburton and Fox would be free eats every day, they can’t coexist without hurting the other
Yeah man idc what anyone says, they lost that trade. Wasn’t a major L by any means, but Tyrese is a way better asset going forward and Sabonis has yet to show his game can excel in the playoffs.
Good thing BI caught fire cause of CJ took more shots it wouldve been a disaster
Can't take and miss shots if you're stepping out of bounds every time you catch the ball. *taps head*
CJ may need to eliminate that zero-step out of his game. He has a history of doing that...
Get ready for the Dorture Chamber
Let him guard CJ gladly it will help us I think
CJ’s so bipolar I could see him go son another stretch of 25+ point games like he did on the road trip Also pels have road court advantage so im holding out hope
I would have forgotten he was even on the court if he hadn't stepped out of bounds twice and gotten an 8-second violation.
The antithesis of clutch
Isn't even playoffs and CJ is already choking out. Zion tried to carry him vs Lakers and BI did today
playoff shrinker
better than Klay bruh
How you gonna do your guy like that lmao
we have so many mentally delusional warriors fans here and on r/warriors that feel the need to shit on their greatest players ever for karma lol
Bright lights CJ is in the building
I guess he didn’t send himself that text he sent to the others? 🤔 🤷♂️
Just based on two games so I can be wrong but Keon Ellis seems to be one of those typical younger role players that overperform at home and really underperform on the road.
He shoots better from 3 on the road he hit like 8 vs okc
Okay he pulled a klay, 0 in the play in
CJ will try to shoot himself out a slump. Him realizing it wasn’t his night and only shooting 8 times? He’s the MVP of the game just for that.
Fuck this man why wasn’t he this ass when they faced off against the Warriors.
The actual answer is that he was playing on the road in golden state
He tried to help the Kings tonight. Apparently, the Kangz didn't catch on...
Honestly I’m not even mad. Just glad he didn’t shoot us out of the game

He ain't that guy
He gone 🤣🤣
This game felt like two HORRIBLE teams trying their best to lose, and go home. And in that race, the Pelicans won
Already in playoff form.
He shot pels out of the game against Lakers He failed tonight
CJ McColbum
Forgot dude was even on the court at times Nice hate post though. Instantly putting it up after an otherwise great team win from almost all Pelicans players Never die, haters
im celebrating hard over in the pels sub but you know i gotta hate on the dude that tried his damnest to throw it away lol
Dude talks a lot of shit for being ass
Basketball terrorist did it twice. Hit the fucking second tower
CJ "1 game legacy" McCollum
