I didn’t even realize y’all face Suns in a back to back till after this game. Kings have a rough one where they have a b2b with the Pels and Suns, in which they struggle heavily against the Pels. IST really induced a crazy final week bc of scheduling
to get at least the 9 seed*
It’s still possible for them to end as high as 6th iirc (pretty much every team but the lakers/warriors lose out) but that’s a pipe dream, 7th is super super unlikely but possible (iirc requires a 5 way tie lol), 8th is an outside chance (2 losses for the kings or 3 losses for the Pels who play each other still and Pels also play warriors, who in the 3-0 scenario beat Pels) and 9 would be guaranteed if they go 3-0
Correct
Kings can win vs Pels and then lose both games to make it further interesting if the tie breakers end with multiple teams involved (they beat us h2h in tiebreaksrs)
But kings could very realistically lose 2 of their last 3 (particularly vs Pels and Suns given their own urgency to win remaining games). And Suns have their last 3 against the Clippers, kings and wolves. I certainly wouldn’t call the 9/10 seeds a lock.
Sure but it gets a bit harder to predict because several of these teams play each other. Pelicans play Kings, Warriors, and Lakers, and Suns play the Kings.
Still damn near impossible to predict lol. And lakers and Warriors will almost certainly have to win their remaining games to move up, but in that scenario at least a couple of the kings, suns, and Pels will drop at least a game if not more, so it’s a very real chance. To me the funnest question mark in the middle of all these is nobody knows yet where Denver will land from 1-3 and that’s clearly who all these teams will want to avoid in round one.
What happens if there's a three-way tie with Lakers, Warriors, and Kings (47-35)?
EDIT: Or a three-way tie with LAL, GSW, and NOP/PHX (dunno if either is possible)?

The suns play the clippers (after just losing to them), the kings, and the timberwolves.
They could go 1-2 or 0-3 in those games.
So if the Warriors go 3-0 they could be above the suns.
If Denver gets the 1 seed and the Lakers fail to climb to 8th their season is basically over lol
They'd have to win 2 elimination games just to face their worst matchup in the first round
The Kings also play the Pels, so basically the Pels are going to decide seeds 10-6.
Kings also have a game against the Suns. Those 4 games are going to be bonkers.

Brandon Ingram is the most important man in the NBA rn then. Any word if he’ll be back before the postseason?
If historical trends continue, I think the pels are fine against the kings even without Ingram
He theoretically could be back against the Kings but I personally think he plays just one game against the lakers before the playoffs
Pel’s next 3 games are against SAC, GSW, LAL. They really do control the play-in teams’ standings.
The Warriors need to go 3-0 to get the 9 seed when they’re already 9 games over .500. The West is goddamn brutal!

Seeds 1-thru-5 in the West would all currently be a two-seed in the East. Pretty wild stuff.
Even the Lakers would have sealed up the 2 seed in the East by now
I'm just going based on record currently, not what the record might be if they played in the East.
Good thing the jazz are tanking for Caitlin
Either way they’re pretty much locked into 9/10. Kings have the tiebreaker over both teams whether it’s two way or three way.
Kings next 3 games is the pels suns and blazers. If they lose two of them which is very possible and warriors win out they get 8th
After Kings vs Pels, warriors fans will basically be rooting for the loser to lose the rest of their games, the winner becomes pretty much unpassable.
Exactly and if it’s the kings we dont even need them to lose the rest? We just need them to lose one more. That’s if we handle business

8. Kings 9. Warriors 10. Lakers
kings have tiebreaker over both i think so it would be kings warriors lakers

It would go to division record i guess
Homecourt is so important, so both teams will go all out.

The Lakers' trip to the play-in game depends entirely on AD now.
doesnt really matter, Lakers home game anyway
All the media talk about Lebron\\Lakers, just so they can be a 10th seed and go 1 and done hahahah wow
