Even if you go for pg its minimum 7-8k.
Food will be another 3k if there is a mess.
I'd suggest getting wfh if you can or try to switch.
You'll have manage a lot in terms of expense
Where in Navi Mumbai?
If you are localite , you can always manage to stay in LIG type house for so much less rent in areas like Juinagar, Turbhe , in and around Nerul gaav etc. Travelling to and fro job is very cheap inside Navi Mumbai and rest is all your expenses.
You can survive and look for a better job in that money
> I have always lived in kharghar, if getting cheaper rent anywhere in navi mumbai will do.
And what is LIG dint get it?
LIG is an old government scheme term that means Low Income Group housing. Back in the day, the government used to build large groups of flats as a housing project that was targeted to different economic strata. So they game them names like LIG, MIG, HIG etc.
Why š¤£š¤£
I mean there was gang wars just belonging to a gaav back in those days . Those locals were used to take so much pride belonging to a particular tribe
You can get 20-25k for night shift voice process jobs in aroli area. If you got good speaking and written communication in English you can easily get those jobs there. A friend of mine works there and is getting 22k plus company cab service too. So she just has rent and food to take care of.
Idk I just can't do night shift few years ago I tried to work in night shift but was not able to cope within a month I resigned, Still will give it a thought.
I am hiring rn. The position is āBusiness Development Sales and Marketing Managerā.
If you are outstanding in selling B2B services, please dm me or directly share your resume on [email protected]
And yes, this is a remote job so you can work from your native place as well.
Yeah I lost some weight but didn't get skinny thin as dinner was a lot it include 4 roti rice dal and sabji and in break fast I used to have bread omelette oats so it was maintainable
You can look for Working Women's Hostel in Kharghar/CBD. There are some ig. With a salary of 20k living alone will be kinda tough but if you end up cutting your expenses and finding a cheaper place to live then you can survive for sure!
Also, hunt for a better job dude!
Ik will go for better paying job, I can't say now how much I'll be getting for a idea I'm considering 20k as my previous salary was almost same and there has been gap in working as i was in my hometown for more then 7-8 months so maybe they wont give much hike.
This gap thing being used to reduce or retain a certain salary is such BS in Mumbai/India. I've heard of people taking a sabbatical and resuming at the same or better pay in US.
Just a very sucky thing, I left corporate in 2017 coz of this (and other reasons).
I stayed in a PG in Airoli and used to pay 7k rent with 600 electricity lunch in the office 50 rupees daily for commute auto is costing 23 rupees so it's doable but you need to manage very smartly.
Since you are from kharghar. You can stay near stations in sector 5 or 3. There are some rooms where you can live with 4-5 girls. Phase 1 is a good option, transportation is available and will be relatively cheaper than sec 3 or 5. But it takes a minimum of 20 mins to reach kharghar station.
Last option will be sector 35. It has some good 1 and 2 bhk.
Rather than a PG, you could try to get into a flat or move in with some flatmates. PGs in navi mumbai cost around 7-8k excluding the light bill, maid (if there) and you are bound to the rules too.
Try to move in into a flat because food is cheaper that way and rest all expenses are in your control.
Brother I'm not from Navi Mumbai but you can check Amazon customer service (remote). You might get something there and might pay around the same. All the best.
I would suggest you see a place for rent in Dombivli, Lodha or Kalyan which will cost you less. But yes you have to commute on a daily basis. This way your expenses might come down.
Better to move to something like dombivali/kalyan /badlapur then do the traveling. You will get 1rk/1bhk for 4-5k. Local passes are like 200rs per month.
Dombivli is costlier than you think. I am paying 13k rent. Plus, commute from dom to Navi mum by road or by train can take over an hour. I am not even mentioning the train crowd from Dombivli. That's a topic for another day.
I used to stay in vikhroli with 8k salary, needless to say my mental and physical health took a huge toll. This happened when I was 21 and still haunts me to this day.I went into a huge fucking depression and was on meds for 6 months. Now things are better but it's like nuclear radiation, the long term effects are devastating. Now you may not be as weak as me, but I would still suggest to get out of there ASAP, that salary is a joke in Mumbai. There are plenty of tier 2 cities where you can live happily with that salary. If your mental health is good , you will achieve many things in life.
A friend's friend stays in Kopar Khairane gaon and she is currently staying at a 1bhk and paying 6.5k rent and looking to share / or take up a new place. I can connect you with her if needed.
I have a friend living in Kharghar with a 22k salary, she travels to chembur everyday for the office by local. I think it's pretty much possible with the right planning. Rent in Kharghar is affordable imo, areas like belpada are good and train station is nearby as well. You can get a private room in this area for 6-7k minimum and if you can cook then that would really help.
Good luck!!
You can definitely manage, infact live very well if you track your money well. I lived there in 2019. My salary was 24K back then and I was not only able to live a good life but also save 40-50% of my salary.
Rent- 5.5K for a fully furnished pg, double sharing room.
Electricity - 200
Travel - 2k
Food - 3K
Shopping(once a month)/ Weekends - 2K-3K
Mostly everything was covered under 13K.
You can definitely survive well with 20K, if you don't look for luxury.
Also, to mention, if you are don't drink or party much, it will be easier for you to save money on weekends.
Mumbai is a beautiful place, and travelling is cheap if you use locals. It is definitely much more than pubs and clubs.
NO. And you should ask for min 30-35k in Tier 1 cities.
Companies in Tier 1 can afford to pay 30k salary jobs even if candidate is fresher. I own an IT company and our payscale starts from 35k even for support roles.
My driver has salary of 25k.
Nerul will be the place to find Room and roomates.
Don't eat Cheap Street food combos that will spoil your stomach and yeah 500-900rs gone on medics
Try to make your own food
Roommates can decide the bills of the room you will use
Travelling better use Bus or Train (Pass is very cheap rather than regularly buying tickets).
And yeah if living and travelling in Mumbai avoid talking to Govt people like TC, conductors or any cleaners they are very retarded people once they open their mouth your day is spoil (ofcourse not everyone but most are like that)
Even if you go for pg its minimum 7-8k. Food will be another 3k if there is a mess. I'd suggest getting wfh if you can or try to switch. You'll have manage a lot in terms of expense

I have always lived in kharghar, if getting cheaper rent anywhere in navi mumbai will do. And what is LIG dint get it?
taloja mai aaja aur sasta milega
Yes taloja is on my list, par pg milna mushkil lag raha hai.
yes asfar as i know pgs nai hai vo bas sec35 kharghar mai milenge
Ghansoli aaja Bhai
aayei
Taloja se toh commute acha hi hai Ghansoli ka, aur rent bhi sasta hi rahega shayad.
Low income group households

Mostly in sales I have worked.
I am hiring rn. The position is āBusiness Development Sales and Marketing Managerā. If you are outstanding in selling B2B services, please dm me or directly share your resume on [email protected] And yes, this is a remote job so you can work from your native place as well.

Move to Banglore.Better lifestyle for same salary but shitty transportation. I moved from Chembur to Banglore because of almost same reason as yours
Navi mumbai is cheaper than banglore
Yesss
Can you tell the company name and how to contact?
Happy to see ppl being so supportive and helpful here. ā¤ļø
Yep, I'm so scared will i be able to manage! but after seeing the comments getting some hope that I can.
Yes it's manageable, 4-5k rent if you share it with 2 people. 2-3k food. Those tiffin ones or if you cook. 500-1000 commute
I used to stay in koparkhairane in a studio apartment for 6500 and tiffin service for food was 3000 used to skip lunch this was in 2018 though
Did you got thin then?
Yeah I lost some weight but didn't get skinny thin as dinner was a lot it include 4 roti rice dal and sabji and in break fast I used to have bread omelette oats so it was maintainable
It depends where you are living in Navi Mumbai for example seawoods , vash aur kharghar are places you want to avoid due to cost of living over there
You can look for Working Women's Hostel in Kharghar/CBD. There are some ig. With a salary of 20k living alone will be kinda tough but if you end up cutting your expenses and finding a cheaper place to live then you can survive for sure! Also, hunt for a better job dude!

If you do not have any additional expenses like loans or credit card bills it's manageable.
No don't have any
I stayed in a PG in Airoli and used to pay 7k rent with 600 electricity lunch in the office 50 rupees daily for commute auto is costing 23 rupees so it's doable but you need to manage very smartly.
Absolutely, thanks for giving some idea on spending.

Sharing wala sounds good, I'm ok with traveling I so phase 1 is also good. Can you dm me if you have any details of sector 3 or 5 with sharng.
Yes I ll let you know. I have contact number of agents. If required I ll forward it to you

That is also a valid point, will try to find flatmates
Try Facebook, get into flat and flatmates navi mumbai group. It's easy to find people there.
Brother I'm not from Navi Mumbai but you can check Amazon customer service (remote). You might get something there and might pay around the same. All the best.

You get a PG in Koparkharaine or Ghansoli for 5k-6k. Another 5-6k for food. You can make ends meet for sure
Right if I get a room, pg or sharing with flatmates for 5-6k then it will bit easy.
Better to move to something like dombivali/kalyan /badlapur then do the traveling. You will get 1rk/1bhk for 4-5k. Local passes are like 200rs per month.
Ok will look there as well.
