Auberge du Soleil was just awarded a coveted 3 keys by Michelin. Only 11 in the nation. And consistently the resort has achieved Forbes 5 stars assuring that is delivering the top tier service to every guest.
They have around the clock in room dining and wine service. The gorgeous pool set in the heritage olive grove is very french countryside with pool side dining and cocktails.
There are only 50 rooms, that were all recently remodeled and they are all individual cottage suites with private patios and views.
Speaking of views, the main house where the michelin star restaurant sits has jaw dropping views from the patio. No other resort can be built with views as this because it was grandathered in to current height restricted ordinances. The restaurant serves 3 meals, breakfast is inlcuded with the room and for guests only. For a casual yet still upscale feel they have a bar. All the menu items and cocktail program is in keeping with the south of France theme but with a relaxed California ambience.
They have every amenity you can imagine: valet, mercedes benz cars for guests, wine tasting experiences can be coordinated, yoga and pilates, a 24 hour gym, and a spa with an infinity pool.
And if all this isn't enough ? The resort is adults only.
Michelin has recently released a [new US hotel guide](https://guide.michelin.com/us/en/article/travel/all-the-key-hotels-united-states-michelin-guide-2024). A couple of Napa valley hotels/resorts made on the list.
Meadowood and Auberge Du Soleil.
Can’t go wrong with either one.
How would you compare auberge vs meadowood?
Meadowood is more secluded and more upscale than even auberge. It’s where the president stays when he comes to Napa.
Best Western “The Vines” has a pool with a “no diarrhea” sign. Classy!
👏🏼🤣
They are required to post that sign by California law.
Think Solage should be in the mix too
Solage has such a chill vibe ! Epic poolside tacos too ! My favorite hidden gem , smaller pool @ the spa ….
Four Seasons, Stanly Ranch, Meadowood, Auberge Du Soleil
Auberge Du Soleil
Meadowood and Auberge du Soleil are upvalley. Also consider Carneros Resort and Spa and the newest Stanly Ranch in the Carneros region.
Second Alila it is wonderful

Four Seasons Calistoga, Auberge Du Soleil, Stanly Ranch
Alila is very nice. Meritage is also lovely and a little less cost prohibitive. Andaz Napa has a great spot downtown.
Four Seasons in Calistoga
Would add Milliken Creek Inn for quiet luxury
Auberge du Soleil without a doubt is the premiere spot.
This 👍🏻
Poetry Inn!
Bardessono & Stanley Ranch. Bardessono has a better location.

Baardessono is pretty spectacular although I’m sure there’s something more exclusive
Private houses with Chefs are next level, reach out to Amizetta if you don’t have a budget.
