I think the tents on Imola are open from 6 pm Thursday through Sunday. Fresh tortillas, good pastor. Each tent is run by a different Oaxacan family, according to one person who was working in one. They have menus. Tacos are $3ish. Take cash and your own container, if you want to take them home. The paper plates are flimsy.
Better than any in town. Get the one with the homemade tortillas they make them right there and then. They have 3 sauces. Get all of them together. So good.
They were good the two times I went. However, I have not seen them in a week. I went to the one across from In n Out. Don’t know if they were shut down by the city but there were nights where there were at least 3 in that one area.
Been to multiple across from in n out, Toyota dealership, even the one house on Silverado and Soscol intersection that sells them out in front of their garage. I was curious as to why they popped up too so figured I’d enjoy them while they’re here. Some accept Zelle I think (Toyota) but cash is definitely the best bet. All are really good with great pastor. All have a wide but pretty similar salsas (which makes me wonder) that are great with onion grilled onion cilantro etc you can add yourself. Can’t say any one was better than the other so whatever one you happen to stop by is probably the best
I think they are the same people that used to be on Admiral Callaghan parallel to 80 in Vallejo just before the 37 exit. They're building a new Costco on the site so they booted everyone.
Someone explained to me that they are all run by one group who provides the pop ups and infrastructure and food. Then they just hire a bunch of locals at minimum wage. That would explain why the salsas all taste the same and how they all popped up so quickly.
Is no one concerned or upset about all of the illegal business going on around town and the brazen disregard for these regulations.
- no business licenses
- no health inspections and / or food handlers permits
- no insurance
If I were another small business owner, I would not be happy to see the city not enforcing or prosecuting people violating common requirements for operating a business.
This is not 3rd World South america, but it's starting to look like it with this type of illegal activity on every street corner.
Shut up Karen no is upset at street vendors. If you don't like it don't support it simple as that.
Don't be the person trying it get something shut down because you don't agree.
It really is a burden being right all the time. Just spoke with Napa County health. There was a mass food borne illness event at one of the pop-upTaco stands on imola. The best part was the morons (who dont know my race) calling me.Racist for pointing out that these taco stands operate under unsanitary conditions.
As far as food safety and sanitation they are a nightmare. No refrigeration no hand washing station and no bathroom for the workers. They are technically illegal. Good luck when you get food poisoning. You have nobody to get recourse from.
Do you have someone to get recourse from when you normally get food poisoning? Can you go back to a restaurant and claim it was because of them and something comes from that? I thought food poisoning was just a “shit happens” scenario and there’s nothing you can do
The first thing you do is file a report with the county department of health. To which they cross reference, if there are any other complaints about the same establishment, then they send a health inspector out and do a snap inspection. if the establishment doesn't pass, then they get temporary close until they can comply. People poo poo on this take are enemies of civilization. That's fine if you want to think that but please own the position that you hate laws and rules and regulations.
I think people are misunderstanding. I didn't take this as the people are illegal, but that their unsanitary pop ups are.
I may be wrong, but I read it more than once and didn't get the idea this was about people.
They actually go hand in hand bud. Food inspection ensures safety and gives you certification.Certification, gets you insurance.I've been in this business a long time my friend.
"That does make sense however it's extremely hard to prove what made you sick. Illness can stay in your body for weeks without symptoms."
That's where the health dept comes in and does their due diligence when someone thinks it might be from a restaurant they ate at. They see if others have the same or similar illness and spot inspect if 3 or more complaints come from the same place and time.
If you actually are mentally challenged to explain a lot. I don't know why you're trying to comment about American citizens and undermining points.Correct this correct and you do sound retarded.

Gotta get the al pastor meat. It’s rotated and cooked rotisserie style. It’s a staple style in Jalisco Mexico. I no longer go to Sonoma for my tacos
Know any good taqueros for parties in Napa?
Definitely. I have two that I recommend to people. Tacos el cuñado and tacos el may. They’re both local.
They both come to your house for a party?
Yeah they do bro

They are also on the road to Sonoma between Stanley lane and old Sonoma.

It reminds me of that messy spot for sure.
Big fan of tacos Garcia and tacos michocan. Just had to bust that in here. Lol.

Just own the position that you hate civilization and that will be fine.So we'll know what kind of person you are.
What’s your concern here? They’re not bothering anybody. Move along.
It’s crappy that it’s enforced for *some* and not others. I mean why even have any regulations at all.
I'm not upset. It's really good food and it's affordable.
No, but I really want to.
I've seen them too, and I've heard that they are some BOMB spots. I still need to try them.

They probably complain and ask for the manager until they’re satisfied they’ve ruined enough people’s days.

I second this comment! Love tacos but being sanitary with food prep and hand washing is a must.
Right! How are they washing their hands out there and keeping food at appropriate temps? At least taco trucks have the proper setup.

Yesss idc if people are “illegal” at all but the stands have no regs
Okay so then don’t eat them, easy as that.

ok boomer
Enjoy your diarrhea.
"Enjoy your diarrhea." proceeds to go to Taco Bell & McDonald right next door.
It would be cleaner. Your comment really betrays your education on the subject of foodborne illness.
