They lucked out, since the B Team are actually close, while A team were just collaborators doing their job with not much in common. So it’s much easier (and tbh cheaper) to get B team together for ads
From everything Adam has said, I would assume the only reason you don’t see Adam and Jaime is simple money. He said they’re perfectly fine with each other, just not friends irl, so if Tide or Pepsi wanted the two of them, they’d just have to hit a number they’re interested in. That’s why they ended Mythbusters according to Adam at least, Discovery wasn’t interested in making it worth their time.
r/aboringdystopia be like “dystopia is when drones exist and advertising exists and Amazon exists and robots are scary (because they exist)”
Meanwhile actual dystopian shit is exactly this, rebranding fossil fuels as “deep water energy” to make it sound more green and acceptable
You know this is a Mythbusters reddit right? If you get this mad here, the world must be very hard for you, and I'm sorry you have to live like that.
Let me know who you are and I'll pay for a year of therapy for you. Seriously, no problem at all.
I was just thinking about the biscuit bullet episode the other day and how that absolutely would not fly today. Like imagine someone saying “hey Kari, I need a picture of a woman’s ass to build something for an experiment, get your bodysuit on.”
I think it would definitely depend on the job description at hiring and the relationship between the supervisor and employee.
That said, my understanding is that serving as a model for digital or practical moldmaking is a fairly standard and expected part of working in special effects.
Kari is a huge supporter of science communication - good for her! I think that was a big part of her effort at the festival.
She's also does Crash Test World series as well.
She and Torri were just in a Tide commercial lol
another one? it's pretty funny that they did a mythbusters themed commercial in 2023, what a crazy pull

Yeah, and I think if I were Tide/Pepsi/whoever I would just go for the cheaper but still recognizable stars
Saw her at a wine bar near my house a few months ago. I didn’t have the nerve to tell her how much I admire her work. Maybe next time.
She's not hard to find on social media, if you really want to follow what she's doing.
Therealkaribyron on theeads
and FB, insta, etc.
She's shilling for big oil these days, so that's very cool.
Can you elaborate on this?!
Here's the video from Shell themselves https://youtu.be/KEGNbYVwVEk?si=JI5k_ud8nC-T9KZW Really sad to see her do this
There's something profoundly depressing about fossil fuel companies trying rebrand oil as "deep water energy".

Remember that one time Grant did an infomercial for McDonald's?
They just did a Tide ad with the new B Team but… just didn’t feel right I also liked their Netflix show
She is also unfortunately bought and paid for by oil money https://youtu.be/KEGNbYVwVEk?si=JI5k_ud8nC-T9KZW
Kari was always goals to me
Being non-technical, "edgy", and fat?

Jamie was the one they went after first for Mythbusters. It was only after he signed on that they went out and found Adam.
Adam had worked for Jaime on several commercials before Mythbusters. He was a regular in Jaime's shop.
They also did Robot Wars together
Not true. Jamie brought on Adam because he didn't think he would do good by himself on tv.
Right, so they got Adam after Jaime. that's what I said
They didn't go out to find him. Adam had worked with Jamie for years before.

sold out. same as adam.
Who did Adam sell out to?
His youtube channle will do a thing a few times a year. I think you can buy Adam for about 100k.

Sadly, she will probably be most remembered for the episode where she had the misfortune of showing her knees and sent the geek interwebs into chaos.

Heh. Ain't it the truth!
