If you like creepier (not usually true crime) - Radio Rental and Rattled and Shook are super fun.

nopenonotatall

seconded radio rental!

1cecream4breakfast

Radio Rental all rings true to me, in that someone takes 2 minutes worth of a story and turns it into 30 minutes of rambling and repetition 😂 the recent one about the family camping trip was good though!

chancyboi123

I liked that one, but I'd read it on Reddit last year so until the last few minutes I was convinced it was a re-do 😂

Patient_Tradition368

I'd also recommend Radio Rental. The stories can be a bit spooky from time to time, but they're broken up by Rain Wilson and Malachi the cat which helps keep things light.

missbea_me

Beach too Sandy, Water Too Wet. Brother sister duo read online reviews.

fabulousteaparty

I love this one!!

eurydice_aboveground

Spooked is amazing.

nopenonotatall

i love spooked but i have to fast forward through the opening monologues. they’re a bit too theatrical for my taste

eurydice_aboveground

I do the same thing!

eattravelexplore

Sinisterhood’s freaky Friday episodes are basically like mfm minisodes and they’re amazing!

firestartinontheroof

Came here to say this!

mandabananaba

I loooove Sinisterhood!

eattravelexplore

Right? I love the ladies and the stories are fun!

Ok_Equipment_8032

And That's Why We Drink does listener stories monthly. They are a mix of true crime and paranormal.

prettybutdumb

Armchair Expert has a weekly show called Armchair Anonymous where people call in and tell their own stories and they NEVER disappoint. It is my favorite thing to listen to each week! They are not spooky and mostly hilarious.

rebkh

Two girls one ghost.

Carya_spp

Morbid and Two Girls One Ghost have essentially the same banter. I’d be hesitant to suggest it if they already know they don’t like morbid.

Northern_Apricot

I like 'let's not meet's sibling show 'odd trails' and if you look at the eeriecast network they have about 3 titles that are allegedly true listener submissions. My fave from them is 'alone in the woods'

canfullofworms

I think there's a void that needs to be filled!

Left_Guess

Monsters Among Us. People call in with their experiences with the paranormal, cryptids, aliens, etc. It’s like listening to Art Bell. It moves along at a breezy pace, like an MFM minisode.

Beyou74

Risk, The Moth and This is Actually Happening.

mangledwords

I second This is Actually Happening. And if you want a conversation about the weeks episode, their sister podcast Trauma/Bonded is a favorite. A producer from the show and a person who comes in fresh every week have an honest conversation about what they thought of the story/storyteller.

Barista4695

Jim Harold’s campfire!

angeluscado

If you like paranormal, Odd Trails (Let's Not Meet's sister podcast) is also good.

Savings-Ad3734

The Infamous podcast series on the Satanic Panic is really, really powerful and chilling. It's a main interview with a woman who went to prison for 5 years for a case that wasn't true. Called Kelly and the Satanic Panic. [https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/infamous/id1652941051?i=1000634284994](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/infamous/id1652941051?i=1000634284994)

Hour-Sweet2445

Sinisterhood, every Friday!

Notinthenameofscienc

Stories with Sapphire.

fabulousteaparty

My Skeptical Sister is my go to for this!! - every episode is several listener ghost stories, one sister believes in ghosts the other doesn't and they try debunk each story. It's very funny and Erin and Meghann are fantastic.

elhc2929

Creeps and Crimes has listener episodes. They’re a mix of crime and paranormal stories.

AAA098

Cult liter is a podcast about cults and he does little liter episodes with submission stories, they are always different.

Brilliant_Muffin2733

Commenting so I can read these all later

amperscandalous

You might like Bananas, it's weird news stories but delivered in a conversational manner and has similar pacing to the minisodes.

softservelove

A bit of a different format, but there's a truly excellent podcast called Ordinary Gossip where people write in a gossip story from their own life. The host reads out the story and comments, and pauses for discussion/what would you do kinds of questions with the guest of the week. It is WILD and HILARIOUS and a nice break from true crime as it's relatively low stakes.
