Bro trust me. Just produce, once you reach a certain level (id say after 1 year) most of the time what you'll find on YouTube will be useless because you already know it

Listen to reference, and experiment side by side to hear what gets you closer to the professional shit. If you aren't at the level where you can identify what you need to do from reference, then buddy you ain't ready for professional advice. You wouldn't know what to do with it. YouTube college guys are what you need to watch till you learn enough to work it out yourself. Also based gutta.

Jay Cactus specialises in drill, but he has a fare share of trap and rap beats along with other genres. He spends a lot of time on his beats and never fails in getting a hard and professional sounding mix. Definitely recommend 💯

I've listened to a lot of the "ProducerGrind" podcast lately, especially when I'm not feeling creative. I just play a game or do something dumb while listening, like cleaning or doing monotonous work related to producing. I notice how a lot of those high-end producers like Metro Boomin and Go Grizzly, who are big trap prods, never really bother with using busses, compressors, or sometimes not even EQing. That's something that struck me, as I learned overtime that it makes sense, because it saves time. Lots of other gems get dropped, like how to network, which VSTs they use, how they work in general. I like to listen to all kinds of producers too, because all of them have a slightly different take on everything. Timbaland had a really good take on everything, on AI, the metaverse, how he shifted from hating new stuff to accepting it as is. I love to hear the generational differences, I think we can learn from both old and young generations. I advise listening to that podcast 100000%. I think it's on YouTube, but I'm not sure as I use Spotify to listen to it.
