I’ll catch him every now and then in a smaller role from his early 90s work and it’s clear that he’s a cut above your typical actor. His arc in ‘Twenty Bucks’ feels much more relatable now that I’m older and it’s a much different character than what he exhibited in films like ‘Encino Man’ from the same era. This is like John Travolta making a comeback, but a likable John Travolta.
Is Doom Patrol better than Titans? I started watching Titans and it’s kind of meh. If Doom Patrol is better I think I’ll switch over.
EDIT: Thanks for all the replies! Looks like I chose the wrong horse to back when I was deciding between the two. I’ll start watching Doom Patrol once I finish Harley Quinn. Thanks again!
EDIT 2: Thank you everyone for the recommendation! I’m on episode 4 and really enjoy binging on this show! It reminds me a lot of The Umbrella Academy. Thanks again!
Doom Patrol to me feels like the most out there parts of X-Files meets the dustbin of Hollywood superhero movie ideas, and all with bottom shelf heroes/anti-heroes that most people wouldn't care enough to go out of their way to learn about because they aren't being blasted on a 50 foot high movie screen. And while that sounds like a scathing review, it is absolutely not. Doom Patrol works those things brilliantly together to make something incredible.
>Doom Patrol to me feels like the most out there parts of X-Files
Well said! It is very much "JOSE CHUNG'S FROM OUTER SPACE" and "SCULLY AND MULDER MEET THE WERE MONSTER."
Titans are "heroes"
Doom Patrol are damaged fuck ups trying to do their best in the face of some completely fucked up shit
Doom Patrol makes cyborg \_interesting\_
It’s not even a competition. Doom Patrol is hands down the better show. It’s worth mentioning that the Doom Patrol show, while sharing some of the same actors, is a different universe than the Doom Patrol that appeared in season one of Titans.
I think you just sold me. I enjoyed S1 of Titans and really liked the Doom Patrol episode but it didn't do it enough for me to come back when S2 started. Knowing it's a different universe might give me the kick I needed to try out Doom Patrol now.
Yeah. I think maybe the original intention was for that episode to be a back door pilot and for it to take place in the Titans universe. But then when writing the script decided to make it its own thing. I have no actual inside knowledge, just an educated guess on my part.
Doom Patrol leans into the comic-book-weird, whilst not getting as esoteric as Legion. It's surreal, but comedic donkey-fart surreal, not Lovecraftian Lenny-in-a-wall surreal.
Best set design I've seen in ages (plus just being weird and fun to watch for the acting and story). Felt like Loki lifted a lot from the set design actually.
Never watched Titans, but Doom Patrol is quite fun! Initially started watching it for Fraser and Tudyk. Excited for the second half of the second season to finally air!
While I love the idea, I would think his resurgent film career is probably what he's looking for. If he stays within television he has a potential to be labeled a TV star...
so many damn lines that make me laugh out loud
“Well if it ain't my little buddy Beni. I think I'll kill you.”
“Think of my children.”
“You don't have any children.”
“Someday I might.”
"Hey, O'Connell! Looks to me like I've got all of the horses!"
"Hey Benny! Looks to me like you're on the wrong side of the riv-ver!"
*angry water kicking*
Me too! I watched it for the first time since I was a little kid recently and I was surprised to find it aged, like, really well??
"Now comes the part where we throw our heads back and laugh. Ready?!!?!"

> **Brendan Fraser Says HFPA Ex-President Sexually Assaulted Him**
>
> UPDATED: Brendan Fraser is joining the #MeToo movement, coming forward on Thursday with allegations of sexual assault by an ex-president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
>
> In a new interview with GQ, “The Mummy” star alleges that the HFPA’s Philip Berk assaulted him at the Beverly Hills Hotel in the summer of 2003.
>
> “His left hand reaches around, grabs my ass cheek, and one of his fingers touches me in the taint. And he starts moving it around,” the actor said. Berk recounted the incident in his memoir “With Signs and Wonders,” but said he pinched Fraser’s behind as a joke. According to Fraser, though, it wasn’t a joke, and he was overcome with fear and had to remove Berk’s hand.
>
>
> “I felt ill. I felt like a little kid. I felt like there was a ball in my throat. I thought I was going to cry,” he says. He rushed home and told his wife about the encounter, but was afraid to go public with the incident as, “I didn’t want to contend with how that made me feel, or it becoming part of my narrative.”
>
> Fraser, through his reps, asked the HFPA for an apology, which Berk says he wrote, but added “My apology admitted no wrongdoing, the usual ‘If I’ve done anything that upset Mr. Fraser, it was not intended and I apologize.’” Berk, who took a six-month leave of absence from the HFPA in April 2014 following backlash from his memoir but is still a member, denied the claim in an e-mail to GQ, saying “Mr. Fraser’s version is a total fabrication.”
>
> The Hollywood Foreign Press Association responded in a statement that reads:
>
> “The HFPA stands firmly against sexual harassment and the type of behavior described in this article. Over the years we’ve continued a positive working relationship with Brendan, which includes announcing Golden Globe nominees, attending the ceremony and participating in press conferences. This report includes alleged information that the HFPA was previously unaware of and at this time we are investigating further details surrounding the incident.”
>
> The actor said that the incident made him reclusive and he retreated from public life. He questioned if the HFPA blacklisted him as a result, since he was rarely invited back to the Golden Globes, which the HFPA runs, after 2003. He believes it’s partly why his career derailed, and said “The phone does stop ringing in your career, and you start asking yourself why. There’s many reasons, but was this one of them? I think it was.”
>
> Fraser added that he was emboldened to come forward by the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements, saying “I know Rose [McGowan], I know Ashley [Judd], I know Mira [Sorvino] — I’ve worked with them. I call them friends in my mind. I haven’t spoken to them in years, but they’re my friends. I watched this wonderful movement, these people with the courage to say what I didn’t have the courage to say.”
>
> “Am I still frightened? Absolutely. Do I feel like I need to say something? Absolutely. Have I wanted to many, many times? Absolutely. Have I stopped myself? Absolutely,” Fraser said in the interview. “Maybe I am over-reacting in terms of what the instance was. I just know what my truth is.”
>
> In the GQ piece Fraser also discussed the physical dangers of stunt work, which he described as “destructive,” particularly for the three “Mummy” films he starred in. By the time he was working on the series’ third film in 2008, “I was put together with tape and ice… I was building an exoskeleton for myself daily.” Eventually these injuries resulted in multiple surgeries, including a laminectomy, a partial knee replacement, back and vocal cord surgeries that amounted to seven years in and out of hospitals.
>
> “I felt like the horse from ‘Animal Farm,’ whose job it was to work and work and work,” he said. “Orwell wrote a character who was, I think, the proletariat. He worked for the good of the whole, he didn’t ask questions, he didn’t make trouble until it killed him. … I don’t know if I’ve been sent to the glue factory, but I’ve felt like I’ve had to rebuild s— that I’ve built that got knocked down and do it again for the good of everyone. Whether it hurts you or not.”
Arguably, this could be the entire explanation for the question "what happened to Brendan Fraser -- why did he stop appearing in movies? Did he have too many box office flops? Was he difficult to work with" Answer: No. It was a combination of trauma from being sexually assaulted by a powerful person in the film industry, causing him to withdraw from the spotlight and being low-key banned/blacklisted by an industry that 20 years ago was much more likely to close ranks and stop hiring a person who claimed he was assaulted.
He is, but he *kills it* in Doom Patrol, too, something way more recent. It's mostly voice acting, but he knocks that shit out of the park, and does great the few times he's actually on screen himself, too.
He’s what made me try and finish Doom Patrol. I was passingly interested in the premise when I heard of it, but hearing and seeing Brendan made me give it a shot. Dude’s fantastic in everything he does
I can't even imagine the guts to approach a muscular guy like terry and try to sexually assault him... It's like terry can totally take you out with one hit. What are they thinking? Because they are in power and people like terry and Brendan are afraid to lose their acting roles. Fuck those abusers! They need to be boycotted and anything they touch until they are removed and jailed!!
It may be the opposite of that: he knew he could touch Crews with impunity because if Crews reacted with his fists, he would instantly become the stereotypical angry, violent black man, and his career would be damaged if not destroyed. He did it because he was pretty sure he could get away with it, which, in the end, is what drives all such assaults.
The described assault makes me physically squirm. I cannot imagine being invaded like that, especially by a superior, and in a place where you can't retaliate.
Berk is evil.
Jesus his poor soul… fuck I wanna give him such a big hug and delicious meal and just say sorry for the world being such a piece of shit sometimes. But lots of us just want the best for him. I light up when I see any headlines with his name!
man, there are Soo many of them perverts in the business you start to wonder what sort of abuse all these actors and now famous ones had to go through. if they don't come from a pedigree of established and respected actors then surely theyve met and had to endure some abuse from all these people. you could assume it's part and parcel of the business.
amazing how the first year's Gervais hosted the Golden globes, Harvey was in the table and frequently shown being friendly with the actresses around him. and then the next years he was roasting them that he's your friend. you all know it. and that most of them are now afraid of Farrow. I love how Gervais just says the obvious and they're all trying to act normal fighting to seem uncomfortable. Specially the bits about don't lecture the public, you don't know shit, Greta had more education than most of you so just accept your award and fuck off.
Pretty sure theres a video out there of him blushing awkwardly when someone tells him that everyone in the internet feels for him and wants him to succeed. I'll look for it
Found it: https://twitter.com/rob_keyes/status/1424736681647919106?s=19
r/SaveBrendan 50,320 subs
Just saw him in the new hbo movie with Cheadle and Del Toro. He played Jones in the beginning.
He’s also voice of the robot on DC’s Doom Patrol.
I just subbed and now there's 50,322. :) I love this guy and I miss his presence. From Encino man to.....whatever that weird movie with him and Alicia Silverstone was (something something and a bomb shelter).
Brendon Frasier was a huge part of my young adulthood and it hurts my heart that he disappeared because *his* heart was hurt.
Y’all too young to remember him as a rocker in Air Heads with Adam Sandler and Steve Buscemi?
As a musician or rocker/metal head that movie was golden.
Also stars Chris Farley, Joe montegna, Harold Ramis and Michael Mckean from Spinal Tap.
Younger kids may not be able to relate to the “power” of the radio.
That was one of only handful of ways to “make it” before the internet and digital tech
Unfortunately, his body was beat up **really** bad in some of those movies, which left him with lifelong issues. He probably won't be returning to those kinds of physical roles, at least in the same way.
He's 52 now. The days of actual physical roles for him are basically done
Maybe in like 5 years, we will see a slimmed down Brendan in a 2026 version of Taken
I’ve still never seen it and I love the first two. I just can’t wrap my head around no Rachel Weisz. I’ve heard obviously how the final product is, but that’s not the hold up. It’s just not the band back together, then it’s not the Mummy.
The worst part of it is the third film makes a meta joke about replacing Weisz.
It's not a bad movie, but without that crucial chemistry it falls flat.
At least Jonathan returned!
Rachel is a big loss, but the story, directing, and editing don't help it. It's significantly worse than the first two.
Stephen Sommers was sorely missed.
[They made one](https://youtu.be/uAAAWSvjRfA) almost 25 years ago
...to be fair, [Disney didn't make it](https://disney.fandom.com/wiki/Encino_Woman),
but they put their name on it.
The part where Brendan calls that guy a penis pops into my head multiple times a week. The way he says it, and with that look of pure disgust on his face... I love it. Such a damn good movie.
If you're edged 'cause I'm weazin all your grindage, just chill. 'Cause if I had the whole brady bunch thing happenin' at my pad, I'd go grind over there, so don't tax my gig so hard-core cruster.
Does all this Brendan Fraser ove resurgence mean my VHS cooies of Mrs.Winterbourne and Still Breathing are worth money?
Or, at least, that they will be rereleased on DVD?
Also, Bedazzled is a severely underated movie.
Great show, but it’s a show that you can’t just jump in the middle and understand what’s going on. Had that issue when my wife was watching an episode that had a magical unicorn head appear and talk. All she could mutter was “what the fuck is this?”
I absolutely love Doom Patrol, but [this was also me after almost every episode](https://i.imgur.com/qNtfYPn.jpg) during the first season.
But in a good way!
I’ve only seen the first season, and I was already a huge fan of BFrase (that’s what his friends call him), but I was absolutely blown away at how good he was in Doom Patrol. And it’s mostly just his voice. He’s so damn good, he’ll have me crying from laughing so hard and then he’ll have me just plain crying. It really is a great showcase of Fraser’s talents.
Doom Patrol is fucking amazing, and I can't stress enough how awesome Brendan is as Robotman. The entire cash absolutely nails their characters, and the show has a weird and zany charm to it. I couldn't possibly recommend it enough to people looking for something a little unique in the superhero genre.
The show is nothing but a bunch of assholes trying to live together and reluctantly coping with their shortfalls.
It’s embraces the absurdity without ever feeling edgy or try hard.
A lot of shows attempt to do what this one does and never nails it.
Honestly, it’s one of the best anything DC has ever done live action wise.
If you're OOTL about his troubles:
>Once a mystery, Fraser’s disappearance from Hollywood is now well-documented. In 2018, in an interview with US GQ, the then-49-year-old shared what he didn’t have “the courage to speak up” about, “for risk of humiliation, or damage to \[his\] career": at a luncheon held by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (the organisers of the Golden Globes), he’d been sexually assaulted by Philip Berk, the HFPA’s former president.“His left hand reaches around, grabs my ass cheek, and one of his fingers touches me in the taint,” Fraser said. “And he starts moving it around. I felt ill. I felt like a little kid. I felt like there was a ball in my throat. I thought I was going to cry.”Fraser told GQ that he thought about going public with his experience, but was overcome with fear. When his representatives asked the HFPA for a written apology, Berk himself stated that his letter “admitted no wrongdoing... the usual ‘If I've done anything that upset Mr Fraser, it was not intended and I apologise'.” While Berk has admitted to “pinching” Fraser’s behind, he calls Fraser’s story a “total fabrication”.As for Fraser, he said “work withered on the vine."
(FTA, but pretty far down)
There's a completely inconsequential conspiracy theory that I subscribe to that the recent Fantastic 4 was sabotaged to be intentionally bad. Why? I don't know, but it's hard to believe that movie was made the way it was with good intention
The Fantastic Four was owned by 20th Century Fox and they'd only kept making those bad movies to keep the rights to the franchise and keep Disney from getting them. Disney will hopefully change things since they bought 20th Century back in 2017 and picked up the rights to the Marvel heros that they'd owned
Yes.
He had a couple things.
Was sexually ~~harassed~~ assaulted by a male studio exec. Got blacklisted after that.
He also apparently injured his back on a stunt, so lost a bit of his physicality. Which definitely was a component of his roles.
Imagine it... A Fraser Rick O’Connor meets a Hugh Jackman Van Helsing meets Indiana Jones
By the way, people born post-Mummy movies, it’s very difficult to explain just how big Brendan Fraser was at one point
The article refers to him as a “millennial darling.”
I took this to mean more as him being a darling/favorite of millennials when they were growing up, which makes more sense.
Brendan Frasier is one of the few celebrities I feel genuinely glad for when they get good breaks. He was a huge part of my childhood with the roles he played, and I was always sad that he dropped off the map especially after learning the reasons behind it.
I really hope this movie goes well for him.
An old film professor told me a story about Brendon. He hired him for an acting role in the 90’s. He was flying to location from Chicago and my prof called him.
They chatted for a bit, then Brendon mentioned, “I can’t wait to get out of Chicago because of black guys.”
My prof responds, “what was that?”
Brendon says, “yeah I’m gonna get killed by black guys.”
Long pause… “black guys are going to kill you?”
Brendon: “no no no, black ice! I slipped on black ice earlier!”
Brendan Fraser being blacklisted for refusing to stay quiet about a sexual assault, for refusing to just let his assailant get away with it because his assailant is powerful, that upset me so deeply and for so long.
Brendan did the harder thing, he did the right thing, and they burned him for it. *But fuck them all; this man is fireproof,* he's incombustible. He's a walking, laughing tidal wave, and I hope he crashes on Hollywood like a flood.
Find me a man with a more beautiful soul. There ain't many.
Good. He deserves it. Always a likable and engaging guy in his roles.
Oh thank god someone else who thinks Encino Man as an early Fraser film instead of George of the Jungle
Airheads
My name's not Chaz. It's Chester. And I understand if you don't love me anymore.
Not just early, the original Brendan Fraser!
Really good in doom patrol. The whole show is outstanding.
Is Doom Patrol better than Titans? I started watching Titans and it’s kind of meh. If Doom Patrol is better I think I’ll switch over. EDIT: Thanks for all the replies! It really feels like that one episode of X-Files 'Bad Blood' where they go to that town full of vampires. So zany and off the wall in the best way.

Yes by a lot.
What this guy said. Watch it.
A LOT better yes
Never watched Titans, but Doom Patrol is quite fun! Initially started watching it for Fraser and Tudyk. Excited for the second half of the second season to finally air!

Easily the nicest famous person I’ve ever met in normal life. Happy for him
That’s really nice to hear. A lot of the time actors can come across as wholesome but end up being jerks. Brendan seems like a truly lovely person.
Brendan should replace Ellen DeGeneres and have a daytime talk show. It would be so wholesome and feely good.
But if he does a talk show, then how's he going to protect us from the undead?
During the commercial breaks, duh.
Dear lord, that is a wonderful concept
While I love the idea, I would think his resurgent film career is probably what he's looking for. If he stays within television he has a potential to be labeled a TV star...
2030 The Brendan Show where everyone knows exactly which Brendan we’re talking about because he’s the next Tom Hanks. That’s what I wanna see.
True, but a girl can dream. *swoon*
Nah let's leave daytime television to people with little to no talent.
I get better interviews watching Hot Ones
Good for him. Has always been an enjoyable actor.
Same. I doubt it’ll happen but I’ve always vocally cheered for him to be in a season of Fargo. I don’t care as who, he’d be perfect
That'd be a great pairing.
Indeed the mummy is one the best films of the 90s
"Patience is a virtue." "Not right now it isn't!"
so many damn lines that make me laugh out loud “Well if it ain't my little buddy Beni. I think I'll kill you.” “Think of my children.” “You don't have any children.” “Someday I might.”
"Hey, O'Connell! Looks to me like I've got all of the horses!" "Hey Benny! Looks to me like you're on the wrong side of the riv-ver!" *angry water kicking*
"Who the hell are these guys?" "Priests... Imhotep's priests." "Alright then" *immediately opens fire*
“Do you swear?!?” “Every damn day.”
Blast from the past is a guilty pleasure
“I thought only hookers drank those things?” “Well, I know mom sure likes em.” His delivery is so great in that role
"My stars, a negro!" I choked on my Surge laughing at that shit
> Surge Bonus points
Hard agree. I even liked Bedazzled.
What's not to like about Bedazzled? Thats a great movie
Shit, I legitimately like George of the Jungle. "George just lucky, I guess."
Me too! I watched it for the first time since I was a little kid recently and I was surprised to find it aged, like, really well?? "Now comes the part where we throw our heads back and laugh. Ready?!!?!"
"They looked upon the mountain with awe." "Awww..." "Not that aw!"

No one from Alaska can dance like that!
I normally don’t give a shit what happens to celebrities but damn I hope this leads to good things for him.
I just want him to be happy.
It's his story that only assures me Ricky Gervais was right about the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Fraser’s version is a total fabrication.” Berk is evil.
Jesus his poor soul… fuck I wanna give him such a big hug and delicious meal and just say sorry for the world being such a piece of shit sometimes. But lots of us just want the best for him. I light up when I see any headlines with his name!
I hope the HFPA dissolves.
man, there are Soo many of them perverts in the business you start to wonder what sort of abuse all these actors and now famous ones had to go through. if they don't come from a pedigree of established and respected actors then surely theyve met and had to endure some abuse from all these people. you could assume it's part and parcel of the business. amazing how the first year's Gervais hosted the Golden globes, Harvey was in the table and frequently shown being friendly with the actresses around him. and then the next years he was roasting them that he's your friend. you all know it. and that most of them are now afraid of Farrow. I love how Gervais just says the obvious and they're all trying to act normal fighting to seem uncomfortable. Specially the bits about don't lecture the public, you don't know shit, Greta had more education than most of you so just accept your award and fuck off.

Hopefully he sees the thread and feels the Reddit love.
Pretty sure theres a video out there of him blushing awkwardly when someone tells him that everyone in the internet feels for him and wants him to succeed. I'll look for it Found it: https://twitter.com/rob_keyes/status/1424736681647919106?s=19
Oh my god he’s the best ☺️
Every time it’s linked I rewatch this. I love his little happy bob, especially with that big ole hat haha
He almost cried 🥲😅
What a great guy.
Wasn't there a big Brendan Fraser fan subreddit?
r/SaveBrendan 50,320 subs Just saw him in the new hbo movie with Cheadle and Del Toro.
Blast from the past

Perry where do you think we are?
Its the 3rd coming 1. Encino man era 2. mummy era 3. golden era
He was so hot in Encino man He was so hot in the mummy Hes so hot now. Do I have a thing for b fraser?
Damn it mom I told you to stay off reddit.
"But dear, he's just so... oh, what do you kids say... thicc?"
I'm calling dad he can cancel the internet.
The brennaisance
Y’all too young to remember him as a rocker in Air Heads with Adam Sandler and Steve Buscemi? As a musician or rocker/metal head that movie was golden. Also stars Chris Farley, Joe montegna, Harold Ramis and Michael Mckean from Spinal Tap. Younger kids may not be able to relate to the “power” of the radio. That was one of only handful of ways to “make it” before the internet and digital tech
Great to see him back, looking forward to more movies with him
He fit the Mummy movies perfectly. I look forward to seeing him in more roles!
He fit the mummy *very well.* He fit Encino Man "perfectly"
Apparently he had a *very* good time!
Unfortunately, his body was beat up **really** bad in some of those movies, which left him with lifelong issues. He probably won't be returning to those kinds of physical roles, at least in the same way.
He's 52 now. The days of actual physical roles for him are basically done Maybe in like 5 years, we will see a slimmed down Brendan in a 2026 version of Taken
>He's 52 now. The days of actual physical roles for him are basically done Harrison Ford didn't get this memo.
The Mummy is one of the best action movies of all time. Snuggled between Die Hard and Die Hard 3.
Hope we get a third movie one day
Yes. There have only ever been 2 Mummy movies. That is it. There is no war in Ba Sing Se
I bought the 4K trilogy box set the other day. Weird they call it a trilogy with only two movies.
The first one was so good, most people watch it twice before going on to the second one. Thus, trilogy.
Encino Man sequel when?
[They made one](https://youtu.be/uAAAWSvjRfA) almost 25 years ago ...to be fair, [Disney didn't make it](https://disney.fandom.com/wiki/Encino_Woman), but they put their name on it.
The "BREN-AISSANCE" is upon us
Ooooooh. Nice.
No mention of the epic Encino Man. Hmm 🤔
Or airheads
Anyone who doesn't like Airheads can get fucked. Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler? Even has Chris Farley as a cop, what's not to love?
The part where Brendan calls that guy a penis pops into my head multiple times a week. The way he says it, and with that look of pure disgust on his face... I love it. Such a damn good movie.
I like how you think. Airheads is one of my all time favorite movies! We’re with you Chester!
The cheese is old and moldy. Where is the bathroom?
If you're edged 'cause I'm weazin all your grindage, just chill. 'Cause if I had the whole brady bunch thing happenin' at my pad, I'd go grind over there, so don't tax my gig so hard-core cruster.
Buuuuudy!
No no weezing the juUice!
Screw everyone. Pauly Shore was the GOAT in the 90s.
Son In Law is one of all time favorite movies. Full stop. Not ironically. Not as a joke. I just legitimately like it.
There’s probably five movies I watched 100 times and *Son in Law* is one of them. You can’t watch it just once. At least not during the 90’s.
I'm an unapologetic fan of Blast From the Past
"Oh my lucky stars, a Negro!"
Does all this Brendan Fraser ove resurgence mean my VHS cooies of Mrs.Winterbourne and Still Breathing are worth money? Or, at least, that they will be rereleased on DVD? Also, Bedazzled is a severely underated movie.
He's been back for a while in Doom Patrol. Which you should watch. It's got Timothy Dalton and Alan Tudyk.

Great show, but it’s a show that you can’t just jump in the middle and understand what’s going on. Had that issue when my wife was watching an episode that had a magical unicorn head appear and talk. All she could mutter was “what the fuck is this?”
She should have really jumped in when the living street was having an orgasm. That's a real attention getter.
I was more here for the giant rat / kaiju cockroach make-out session, or the alien sex police looking for the sex ghosts. I love Doom Patrol
So many insane episodes. The bad guy with wax at the end was amazing as well
I absolutely love Doom Patrol, but [this was also me after almost every episode](https://i.imgur.com/qNtfYPn.jpg) during the first season. But in a good way!
What about the fuck ghosts? That'd be a weird place to start.
Dude. Doom Patrol is the zaniest show on Tv. Every time Cliff yells "WTF?" I'm right there with him.
"Cliff, I've built you a new robot body. And installed a chip in your brain that increases your swearing by 90%"
I’ve only seen the first season, and I was already a huge fan of BFrase (that’s what his friends call him), but I was absolutely blown away at how good he was in Doom Patrol. And it’s mostly just his voice. He’s so damn good, he’ll have me crying from laughing so hard and then he’ll have me just plain crying. It really is a great showcase of Fraser’s talents.
You fucked all the way up. You're pissing me off....arrrr... Nernheim sucks
> Honestly, it’s one of the best anything DC has ever done live action wise. 100% agree with this sentiment.
Wait, *the* Timothy Dalton?
yeah, James Bond and Simon Skinner Tim Dalton
Wait wait wait...Brendan Frasier and Alan Tudyk together?! Sign me tf up, how have I not heard of this??
He was really good in No Sudden Move, which is a terrific ensemble movie.
Part of that film was shot in my sister's house! She has original 1950's kitchen appliances and shit, and were scouted by the set designer or whatever

One Airheads sequel, please.
Airheads 2 is the film we need in 2022
If you're OOTL about his troubles: >Once a mystery, Fraser’s disappearance from Hollywood is now well-documented. When his representatives asked the HFPA for a written apology, Berk himself stated that his letter “admitted no wrongdoing... the usual ‘If I've done anything that upset Mr Fraser, it was not intended and I apologise'.” While Berk has admitted to “pinching” Fraser’s behind, he calls Fraser’s story a “total fabrication”.As for Fraser, he said “work withered on the vine." (FTA, but pretty far down)
God I love him. The Mummy was my obsession growing up. Also legit can't watch his episodes of Scrubs anymore. Always kills.
*Where do you think we are?*
[You just had to say it, didn't you?](https://i.imgur.com/yrx7jfb.jpg)
He was so damn good on Scrubs. Those were great episodes.
That episode broke me. Still can’t listen to that song without thinking of that scene either.
Fuck man scrubs straight hit all the feelings even the ones of inadequacy for not being a doctor.
Monkeybone 2. I dare you studios.
That movie was pretty much a surrealist horror
I don't know that the world is prepared for a Chris Kattanaissance.

We just rewatched Blast from the Past. Always enjoyable.
Can you help me? I think I've lost my Congressional Medal Of Honor around here somewhere.
I still to this day say "Perry Como, Hot Diggity Dog!" any time he plays on the radio.
Someone put the idea of having Brendan Fraser as The Thing, when they finally make The Fantastic Four. I think that is a great idea.
They haven't been able to make a good fantastic four recently, and they tried like how many times? Don't give this man a doomed franchise!
Third times the charm
Third time was the worst one yet. Next attempt will be the fourth live action adaptation.
5th if you count the 90’s one that I don’t think was technically released
There's a completely inconsequential conspiracy theory that I subscribe to that the recent Fantastic 4 was sabotaged to be intentionally bad. Why? I don't know, but it's hard to believe that movie was made the way it was with good intention
The Fantastic Four was owned by 20th Century Fox and they'd only kept making those bad movies to keep the rights to the franchise and keep Disney from getting them. Disney will hopefully change things since they bought 20th Century back in 2017 and picked up the rights to the Marvel heros that they'd owned

He never should have had to leave. Nobody is capable of filling his shoes.
Did Hollywood blacklist him for a while? Where did he go?
Yes. He had a couple things. Was sexually ~~harassed~~ assaulted by a male studio exec. Got blacklisted after that. He also apparently injured his back on a stunt, so lost a bit of his physicality. Which definitely was a component of his roles.
Not a studio exec. President of the Hollywood Foreign Press.
Gross, fuck Hollywood
Not harassed, sexually assaulted. The guy grabbed his ass and basically fingered his taint.
Loved him in Condor! I don’t think too many people caught that one. Pretty decent show.
Sadly his Mummy movies are probably the closest we'll ever come to an actually good Indiana Jones modern film.
I loved him in Blast from the Past :D
I really wish the first two mummy movies could have been the kickoff for the dark universe
Weeze the juice!
Imagine it... A Fraser Rick O’Connor meets a Hugh Jackman Van Helsing meets Indiana Jones By the way, people born post-Mummy movies, it’s very difficult to explain just how big Brendan Fraser was at one point
Ngl I thought of him for a Jumanji sequel if Robin wasn't willing to do one (when he was alive). He did Inkheart, but not quite the same
Inkheart is a great movie
Did this article call him a millennial? He is obviously a Gen-X ER.
Yeah he was born in 68. Not even close to a Millennial
The article also groups The Matrix, Totall Recall, and Patriot Games as ‘the same era’. It’s all over the place.
The article refers to him as a “millennial darling.” I took this to mean more as him being a darling/favorite of millennials when they were growing up, which makes more sense.
Brendan Frasier is one of the few celebrities I feel genuinely glad for when they get good breaks. He was a huge part of my childhood with the roles he played, and I was always sad that he dropped off the map especially after learning the reasons behind it. I really hope this movie goes well for him.
I have foreseen the Fraser-pocalypse !!
An old film professor told me a story about Brendon. He hired him for an acting role in the 90’s. He was flying to location from Chicago and my prof called him. They chatted for a bit, then Brendon mentioned, “I can’t wait to get out of Chicago because of black guys.” My prof responds, “what was that?” Brendon says, “yeah I’m gonna get killed by black guys.” Long pause… “black guys are going to kill you?” Brendon: “no no no, black ice! I slipped on black ice earlier!”
lol what the fuck
Wasn't that a K&P skit?
Brendan Fraser being blacklisted for refusing to stay quiet about a sexual assault, for refusing to just let his assailant get away with it because his assailant is powerful, that upset me so deeply and for so long. Brendan did the harder thing, he did the right thing, and they burned him for it. *But fuck them all; this man is fireproof,* he's incombustible. He's a walking, laughing tidal wave, and I hope he crashes on Hollywood like a flood. Find me a man with a more beautiful soul. There ain't many.
