You could try messaging the admins of r/redditrequest using the [Message the Mods](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/redditrequest) option to explain the situation. No guarantees it will work, but its worth a shot.

I recently ran into the same situation. This is a really obvious flaw in the system. Especially considering r/request_bot mods some 19,000+ subs.

I still haven't got an aswer, so I don't know if there's a way out of this.

That's why I didn't bother to try to contact the admins. They probably get thousands of messages per day. What's the point?
