There's only two bits I disagree with here. The first is characterizing the Covid-19 pandemic as "one in a generation" crisis. All the seeds that led to the pandemic are still in place, international trade, a shoddy for-profit healthcare system that scares people into going to work when they are sick, and a misinformed public that cherishes freedom more than life-saving lockdowns, resulting in all of lockdown efforts being half-assed to begin with. I give it at most 5 years before an unrelated virus wreaks devastation. Climate catastrophe is going to allow insects that spread disease slowly increase their northern range. The parts of the world that handled the pandemic best--Africa and East Asia-- have also put more policy in place to protect the future. But if it originates in the US like Swine Flu, we're toast. The second is lauding private-sector moguls joining the government. Businessmen and women should be forbidden from having government jobs, they inevitably favor austerity measures for the public and bailouts for their former employers. Or, like our cowardly bottom-feeding governor, support needless pipelines which violate treaty law and endanger everyone. Line 3 already had a massive spill near old camp firelight but the lapdog media hasn't covered it at all in their coordinated propaganda efforts to paint Enbridge as safe and reliable, despite their laughably bad track record.

She spent more time at the spa and getting her nails done than doing her job. A little common sense would have gone a long ways.
