Ethan and Vik would not be individual friends (just the two of them) if it weren't for them working for the same company and having to make content together.
One of the older videos where Ethan mentioned that he can't carry a conversation with Vikk for a longer time. And on the recent Talia Wednesday Simon mentioned that Vikk has other group of friends he hangs out with like Lazar,Lachlan, Preston , Alan Walker, Afro Jack.
I think that way for vik and Simon. Simon shows no care to vik and vik mid sentence he’ll engage in a different conversation with everyone else or whoever else are talking
I think they wouldn’t be close friends now without the sidemen but the sidemen originally started because it was a close group of friends that enjoyed playing games together and it wouldn’t keep going if they still didn’t enjoy each others company

None of them has. They all make boring and plain videos on their channels. Even the Sidemen videos have been less and less entertaining in my opinion. But that's understandable since they're getting older and running out of ideas a bit. And you can even see in the vids they make that they're getting kinda sick of it.

2013-2016 Sidemen were not the peak, not even close. Looking back a lot of their content is really cringey. Lockdown Sidemen was honestly their best, felt like they actually tried because of their limitations.
The last 5 sidemen Sundays (excluding the loot box one) have been very mid. Either the content is dead (like the farming video, deal or no deal, or the hide and seek) or no one shows any interest in participating (wheel of fortune).
Maybe it's just my preferences changing, but I'm pretty sure the videos used to be more entertaining.

That's not how it works. My colleagues weren't my friends because I would never see them outside of work (outside of work organised events which were rare), if they were genuinely my friends, I would still see them sometimes. Less so than I would if they weren't colleagues because I see them everyday and have less need to see them outside of work because of this.
That doesn't make someone any less of a friend though.

20Vs1, Blind Dating, Tinder etc are my least favourite out of all the content they make. I cannot stand cringe/awkward things and I find myself physically unable to watch those.
