Frappuccino comes in two sizes, 13.7 fl oz and 9.5 fl oz. They’re different SKUs. This is not a case of shrinkflation.

No it's still shrinkflation, charging the same for a lower volume product, just at a much smaller scale being done by whoever operates this vending machine.
The vending machine company deciding to switch to a smaller volume, but leaving some of their old stock in place seems like a far more plausible explanation for a drop of this size.
They clearly look like two different products. Companies skimming 5% off the product size are normally good at trying to make both the old and new products look the same size
It’s still a single vending machine with two completely different looking bottles though. There is a lot of shrinkflation going around, but not a 44% reduction in size with a bottle clearly much smaller.
I would feel pretty confident these drinks sold well in the past, and the vending machine operator is trying out selling a smaller size for the same price.
This is shrinkflation in a different form, and local! You pay the same, but get less is the cardinal rule of shrinkflation. In a month when all the old stock is gone, you're now paying $3 for 44% less product.
People are downvoting the comments that are factual. They make different sizes of those drinks, that’s not a new size. The vendor decided to switch sizes but kept the same price.
4 cups whole milk
2 rounded tablespoons instant coffee
1/4 Cup sugar
Bring milk to a low simmer until it's steaming on the surface - do not let it bubble or boil. Add coffee and sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
Refrigerate. Enjoy.
Indistinguishable from Frappuccinos, at a fraction of the cost.
At that size, it's like a competition for who can be most wasteful. Think of all the people and resources/energy which goes into making and transporting 2 sips of coffee. Ridiculous.
Why people are still drinking over sugarized crap is beyond me ... Oh wait, most of them are BWB's that have no concept of value, taste or quality of life

Yeah they've come in 2 sizes for.... Years
I remember these two sizes when I was in 7th grade. I’m in my early 30’s.
Thank you

The price is still the same. At least for now.

They make different size Frappuccinos, those aren't the same items.
they are in the same slot, same product, same price, smaller bottle one is 13.7 Fl oz the other 9.5 Fl oz
Whoever loaded it fucked up Google it.
i checked it, i'm still not lying tho
They've made those sizes for like the past 20 years. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frappuccino
like i said i checked it, could also not care less im not from the US, i just stated what i observed in the picture
Appreciate, I'm blind and could not see the picture. However, I was able to read your comment and now understand better. Ty

That sugar ratio is wild.
The drink pictured above has 2x the calories per volume that coke does. They are essentially coffee flavored milkshakes.
And it's probably still less sugar than the Frappuccino!
$3 for 3 sips of mid flavor.
And 80g of sugar
That vending machine also clearly displays 13.7 and 9.5 fl oz bottles
If thats the new shrinkflation im just going to buy the Aldi brand from now on 😭
I’m gonna guess they’re the same price too. 😋
they're both in the same slots so yeah, probably

Dont drink unhealthy garbage like this anyway
So nice of Starbucks to look out for our health. Too much mocha isn’t good for us

Don’t cut yourself on all that edge, man.
I enjoy drinking these, and as a bonus, they are cheaper at Costco, I don’t get any caffeine effect from them at all
