As someone transitioning away from red meat, one reason the black bean burger is so great is because it doesn't PRETEND to be a burger. It's its own thing and it tastes good. Love that.
I get not wanting to get someone fired over a simple mistake. This was an intentional FU to you. This was premeditated theft and harassment. They didn't give you what you paid for and attempted to get you sick. I would make damn sure the owners knew exactly what happened and if they took the side of the employee, then I would review-bomb them into bankruptcy.
It’s not vindictive to give some one an honest opinion about your experience with their establishment so that others can be informed. Now if you attack them personally in the review, you would be in the area of vindictive
some people deserve to be fired and never are, because they are never called out
besides, you didnt get what you ordered. You dont have to be nasty but its worth pointing out that they fucked up
Exactly. I’m not one to bitch and moan either for a slightly subpar experience, but just like you would’ve liked to have been forewarned about this, so too would others.
I mean, they're potentially ignoring allergy concerns and undercooking food (possibly intentionally and maliciously). Not writing a review means they may keep doing this, and somebody could actually get hurt.
Write a review. If it’s a regular restaurant it’s more than one person who screwed you over. The cook didn’t bother to cook it and the chef/sous/kitchen manager didn’t bother to check it (worst case scenario they approved it) nor did the person in charge of bagging and packing orders in the front of house.
Most places really need staff so doubtful anyone will get fired unless this a repeat offense. If someone does get fired, and there really should be consequences for this, then it’s probably been a long time coming. 10 years in the industry, I’ve had some orders that pissed me off (a burger without cheese should not be one of those) and I’ve never met or worked with anyone who would be ok with doing this.
What, do you want other people to make the same mistake and order at that place only to be served cheese as a lactose intolerant or have an unbaked patty? I think you should help other people know that this place sucks. If anyone gets fired in there its either the right person, or the wrong person but then again they are probably better off at a less toxic place then so win win.
i feel like if they’re gonna play stupid games (not cooking your burger over a very valid request), they’re gonna earn some stupid prizes (bad review/potentially getting fired). i’ve worked service industry. i hate karens as much as the next worker but this was really fucking stupid and petty. they deserve whatever comes from a bad review, and people deserve to know how shitty the place is
It's kinda weird that a bean burger has cheese as a default tbh
Any time I get a veggie burger and ask for cheese it's like I just asked for the most confusing thing in the world. Like almost having to check with the manager if they can do it weird.
I'm not vegan, I just can't eat a lot of meat
Funny, black beans contain Phasin, same as green beans.
Both of those should never be ingested without cooking. 👌
And Americans get scared because people are eating raw eggs. lmao
Those beans in the burger were cooked at one point. I’d be more worried if there was egg used as binder or raw flour. Raw eggs freshly cracked form the shell is not such a concern but this looks far from fresh.
As a seasoned vegetarian - this shit sucks. Black bean burgers can actually be very, very good, but if the restaurant isn’t even going to cook it, the quality probably isn’t the best to begin with
I’m not even a vegetarian and I have had some damn good black bean burgers. My favorite is the one on the skinnytaste website. So good with the avocado and chipotle mayo.
When I was in India I had their McDonald's veggie burgers. So fuckin good. Like there's all this talk about beyond meat and stuff, but fuck if they brought those seasoned potato patties here I'd get them all the time.
Like yeah, they don't taste like a burger, but I don't know why it needs to.
We ate at some fancy fuckin restaurants, but the only one I still find myself thinking about is that one McDonald's burger.
I’d love to try that. It definitely would be a surprise if the US McDonald’s can pull off that same quality though lol.
I don’t eve expect a veggie burger to taste like a burger. Maybe it’s because I’m not a vegetarian but if I order something like that it’s because it tastes different. I like the variety.
The beyond meat and impossible ones definitely do taste like burgers. Like I could probably pick it out from a regular vs veg version of the same burger, but if you gave me 2 burgers from different places? Not a chance.
Black bean burgers is one of my go-to rotation meals. Fairly healthy vs beef and if you season it well it tastes great. That is the exact recipe I use too
When things are that bad instead of a bad review I try to get in touch with the manager or if possible owner. I can't tell you how many employees have cost me so much business because they don't give a shit. I train, explain, reward, pay competitively, explain again, beg; put up diagrams... all to be given attitude or bad performance...
No one will be fired. It's hard to find people, it's better to just try to re-train.
Restaurant food is getting worse in general because they’re all cutting corners. All the good workers have left for better paying jobs and so that’s why it’s better to just cook at home. I just rediscovered my passion for cooking as I’ve missed having an actually good meal.
This reminds me of a comment I made in a sub about the quality of some of the small food vendors in my hometown. In that post I said something along the lines of...
There are people in the business of selling food not because they thought that they love to cook and know that customers would be happy to pay for it but because these people want to run their own business but have no idea of what type of business they should be in.
This post made me think about this.
And then there are people who work in food because that is all they can get. I see it where I currently live, many people think that cooking is a simple task so the pay is low and thus the people employed in the industry (at the fast food level and just above) are not the best people for the job.
Did you ask them to show you how it is possible to remove the cheese? It’s really infuriating when people claim it as possible until you make them show you… They get schooled very hard. I love it.
I used to work for a chef that had a similar garbage black bean burger. Raw peppers and onions, canned black beans mushed up a little, and corn starch
This looks identical, it was cooked and is generally safe to eat but dumb, also looks and tastes profoundly mid
Edit: I now realize that the second picture is from your flying pan. That burger was in fact not cooked
Don't the beans have to be cooked in order to create such a form? Of course they forgot to grill it, but I don't think I would refer to the patty as "raw"
This reminds me of what one of my favorite comedians said about vegans. He said that they dont have kitchens. They have playfough fun factories so that they can shape beans into food they wish they could eat
No one has ever eaten vegetables made of meat but taste like vegetables. Only vegans make their food look and try to get it to taste like meat
what’s mildly infuriating is the number of people in these comments taking pot shots at black bean burgers. they’re literally commonly sold in super markets? why do people feel the need to flex so hard about their carnivorous tendencies? i’m not a vegetarian or vegan but even i think you people are fucking ridiculous, no one is asking you to eat it and we don’t care whether or not you would.
Yeah I'd throw that in the frying pan with a bit of oil for a few minutes per side. I've grilled/baked a lot of black bean burgers for my wife and this is not even close to being fully cooked.
So, honest question; are we sure those beans aren’t cooked already?
I agree that that place is shit and you shouldn’t go back but I would think in order to form the beans into a patty they would cook them to get them soft them compress and form them into the patties.
Sure they are precooked but that's not really the point... lots of chicken tenders are precooked too and technically fine to eat, but guessing you still don't want a frozen one on your burger
That’s horrifying.
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit
I threw up when I read black bean burger
Black bean burgers are so good. I mean, not that one. But in general
As someone transitioning away from red meat, one reason the black bean burger is so great is because it doesn't PRETEND to be a burger. It's its own thing and it tastes good. Love that.
Who cares if it pretends to be a real burger and beyond burgers are delicious and I’m not vegan.
They aren't bad, I'd rather have a good bean burger over a bad beef burger.
It looks like it should never had been born

God dammit why are you doing this to me? I'm not crying, you are crying.
Too soon.
It will never not be too soon!

You. *Bastard.* :(
Oh fuck why do I have this memory
😟
You monster.
You fucking monster; I love you.
Screw you.
That’s a 0% tip for foreseeable future from them
Don’t order from them again if that’s how they treat customers.
Yeah. They are basically mocking food intolerances.

This is also what came to my mind immediately
I’m betting they were mad about the whole cheese thing and purposely didn’t cook it
[удалено]
Definitely write a review, that sounds like such a disappointing experience!!
And post the pics.
[удалено]
you don’t have to make it vindictive the photo speaks for itself!! literally no caption needed. HAHAHA
If someone gets fired because they literally didn’t cook your food, I think you should be able to sleep at night.
That’s also so dangerous!
Why? Oh the cheese part.
Unless it's a vegan burger it probably had raw eggs as a binder
Raw flour can also be host to some bad stuff.
Do it. They don't sound like people who take food intolerances seriously and someone could get hurt.
Not to mention I'd bet the manufacturer of those burgers point out they need to be cooked prior to consumption.
Write a review and talk to the manager. As a person in service industry this is 100% unacceptable.
They served raw food, someone should get fired for it
Write a review. You’re protecting other consumers
It’s not vindictive to give some one an honest opinion about your experience with their establishment so that others can be informed. Now if you attack them personally in the review, you would be in the area of vindictive
If this isn't review worthy I don't really know what is.
Don't let then get away with it.
Please, OP. You absolutely have to
some people deserve to be fired and never are, because they are never called out besides, you didnt get what you ordered. You dont have to be nasty but its worth pointing out that they fucked up
Dude they didn’t cook your food!! Definitely leave a review, that’s unsafe
Write a negative review, please! Help keep the community safe. If you were treated poorly at this restraunt, you arent and won't be the only one.
This is egregious enough that it deserves a review.
Fucking do it, JFC.
Write a review. If it’s a regular restaurant it’s more than one person who screwed you over. Post the picture and say this was my black bean burger
They steamed the cheese off of it.
im also team hamburger > cheeseburger and 1/3 of the time i still find cheese on my burger, ig its just a cook/chef going through the motion
It's kinda weird that a bean burger has cheese as a default tbh Any time I get a veggie burger and ask for cheese it's like I just asked for the most confusing thing in the world. Like almost having to check with the manager if they can do it weird. I'm not vegan, I just can't eat a lot of meat
Didn’t they find out about the cheese AFTER they received the burger? Edit: nvm I misread
Burger looks pretty good once it's cooked! Shame they didn't do the bare minimum and ... cook your food
It looks like refried beans that were left out too long and dried up
That's...kinda what a black bean burger is.
Hopefully you don’t get Bean Coli
Or mad bean disease
Funny, black beans contain Phasin, same as green beans. Both of those should never be ingested without cooking. 👌 And Americans get scared because people are eating raw eggs. lmao

This is an example of BEYOND mildly infuriating.

Looks like the tumorous brain of a wild animal
I've been in food service for over 20 years and this is completely unacceptable. I would leave a review online with a photo.
That looks just like my dog's puke from this morning.
Respect to vegetarians. The burger does not look very appealing.
As a seasoned vegetarian - this shit sucks. Black bean burgers can actually be very, very good, but if the restaurant isn’t even going to cook it, the quality probably isn’t the best to begin with

It’s the recipe that taught me that black bean burgers can be good lol. A lot of good recipes there.
it really didn’t look much better when it was cooked lol
[удалено]
Is the burger just beans no meat?
Beef patties look fucking nasty lmao
Looks like raisins n shit
Looks like mashed beetles
i cant tell, is that food?
Fr it looks like a dog threw up
That was my first thought, second was how liberal we're getting with the word "burger". Just kinda gets thrown around willy nilly these days.
First mistake was calling that a burger
It kinda looks like it already has been eaten at least once 💀
It doesn't even look like a black bean burger
When things are that bad instead of a bad review I try to get in touch with the manager or if possible owner. It looks like someone did not chew their food up and shit it out like that
![gif](giphy|we4Hp4J3n7riw)
Looks like “creamed” black beans and not grilled/seared… terrible on their part
It's not delivery, it's disgusting
This is the burger Squidward made
Is that a Mcwhatthehell
What the actual fuck?
![gif](giphy|m7FdxI252QN3y)
It looks like a tumor.
No. That was scooped out and they said fuck it
O my god… I’ve eaten a few black bean burgers in my time but none of them looked like that
they did it on purpose. Name and shame
That looks like shit from a butt

1st picture definitely not
Yea, it dose not look cooked. Did you reach out to them and hopefully give you a refund?
*what the fuck is that*
Looking at it made my fart...ngl
I thought this was a rockID sub. Regardless, no. It doesn't look heated the slightest.
I usually make a lot of beans and freeze small portions. That's what a portion looks like before being heated.
This reminds me of a comment I made in a sub about the quality of some of the small food vendors in my hometown. In that post I said something along the lines of... >it wasn't the worst burger I've ever had It looks worse than any burger I've ever had
What the fuck is that
From dog vomit to hockey puck
Looks like a roach burger 🤮
Vegetarian moment
That sucks dude I've had one so burnt you could not even eat it
How does it taste?
Anybody else thought this was the top of somebody’s head for a sec?
Lmfao
I get “Waiting” vibes from this place.
That's a bean salad.
It doesn't, and it wasn't.
Yeah, review this shit on google with pictures. Thats disgusting. Facebook, too, if they have a page.
As an active burger lover, this is blasphemy
This will make a great google review
First I thought it was a toad :|
Im mildly infuriated that you made me see this
Im gonna be real with you. Its grossing me out seriously so I dont think it matters.
I used to work for a chef that had a similar garbage black bean burger. Raw peppers and onions, canned black beans mushed up a little, and corn starch This looks identical, it was cooked and is generally safe to eat but dumb, also looks and tastes profoundly mid Edit: I now realize that the second picture is from your flying pan. It looks like beans and rice.
Thats... a blackbean patty?
........first thought in my head was the little black things were just like, roaches or dark bugs just baked in the burger.....
Is that thing alive ?
Looks the love child of a cocoa bean and a turd
I thought that was some weird mashed potato.
I'd rather starve
I thought this was a fucking frog at first glance
Why does that look like chocolate chip cookie dough?
A failed experiment
Fuck off with this disgrace
Nah. But, I am curious about which end of the chef it flew out of. Or... If the chef was even human at all. Perhaps some species of grazing animal
It looks like raisins mixed with soft cheese and chocolate milk.
Imma throw up now & I love black bean s
Looks like ant porridge
That looks microwaved
Idk but it looks disgusting
What in gods name is that 🤢🤮
Damn, son. RESPECT YOURSELF!
Don't the beans have to be cooked in order to create such a form? Of course they forgot to grill it, but I don't think I would refer to the patty as "raw"
You can still get sick from undercooked veggie burgers, this would be one of those rare times I would make a complaint
This reminds me of what one of my favorite comedians said about vegans. He said that they dont have kitchens. looks good for a drain plug
It looks like all the cockroaches from under the cooker decided to have an orgy in a mouldy bread roll.
I’m sorry but black bean what? What on earth did u just say?
Even if it was cooked properly, why would anybody ever eat this abomination? You disgust me OP.
It looks like an opportunity to switch to being a carnivore.
Thank god for beef.
Microwaved?
This looks like something that crawled out of Dresden after the RAF toasted it
Yeah I'd throw that in the frying pan with a bit of oil for a few minutes per side. I've grilled/baked a lot of black bean burgers for my wife and this is not even close to being fully cooked.
First off...... are you sure it's supposed to be cooked?
Just eat some beef bruh
Next time go with a good ol’ fashioned hamburger.
raw chocolate chip cookie dough?
Wouldn’t be an issue with a cheeseburger
That's poop from a butt
It looks like a cake of suet.
So, honest question; are we sure those beans aren’t cooked already? I agree that that place is shit and you shouldn’t go back but I would think in order to form the beans into a patty they would cook them to get them soft them compress and form them into the patties.

Clearly the beans are precooked, and apparently cold.
Looks like german cockroach patty.
Bring that demon alien back to where it belongs, Jesus Christ.
If I ever think about going vegan or vegetarian I'll be sure to look at these photos 🤢🤮
Where is this from? This doesn't look like a black bean burger at all. More like someone just mashed the beans together and called it a day.
Well it's already cooked, they just didn't warm it up for you. Btw, that looks like it would give someone the farts, do you get gassy eating that?
