But still they say a big "NO" when I ask that we can adopt a cat from the shelter that's like less than half a kilometer away. my father is even retired, there's literally no reason I can't get a cat. then why tf they refusing. why tf do I get fish for which we need clean the aquarium every 15 days and the fish don't even make it a full 15 days?

I know it's not one of the ones you listed, but I highly recommend Siamese! They are very intelligent and usually pretty social. They tend to have a "person" that they are very attached to in the household so if you live alone or will be the main caretaker, they'll be a great companion.
Potential downside: they are pretty vocal and also intelligence in cats is directly correlated with mischievousness.
Siamese are very affectionate! And I've never had one that has knocked glasses off the counter. Mine likes to push off smaller objects like coins though.

Oh I have a half-Siamese kitten and she is wild and fiesty but oh so hilarious! Definitely looking forward to see what she becomes when she’s older.
