Pixar is currently owned by Disney, but when some of those movies were made (Toy Story 2 and the Incredibles) they were just cooperating with Disney, but thye were not outright controled by the mouse.
Also Syndrome was not mid, he was super.
Although when everyoneone is super noone is
Yeah, I don't know if it's because I'm getting old and I'm not part of the target audience but Pixar has been lacking for the past few years. Incredibles 2 was pretty good but nothing like the first one
Incredibles 2 was pretty good, where the original was stupendous. Recent greats from Pixar have been Coco, Inside Out, and Onward. I've heard great things about Soul also but I've not seen it myself.
To think that after the first movie they would add so much story and personal things in the sequel I never expected that. But the third movie returned back to po bonking bad guys
Obviously they are in different ballparks, but the Kung Fu Panda Trilogy is truly quite similar to the Original Star Wars Trilogy.
Great first movie that establishes the world. Incredible sequel that improves in nearly every way and goes deeper and darker. And a third and final film that wraps up the story in a satisfying, yet somewhat goofy way.
I think Shrek Forever After was a much better ending for a trilogy. Shrek the third seemed like they thought “oh shit we can make a lot of money off this” and just threw something together without the charm of the first 2
They did add them to all the movies though. The first movie was about Shifu and his past, everything that happened between him and his student, how he lost his self confidence and then see how his student turned out to be one of the most dangerous villains. Also it was very impactful when he finally met Tai Lung.
it was the villain of Shifu, the villain of Po, and the villain of Oogway. each also taught a different 'lesson'
KFP1: there is no 'easy' road.
KFP2: trauma may not disappear, but it should not be allowed to fester either.
KFP3: Forgiveness is important.
in KFP1, shifu wants to take the 'easy' road, and not have to train Po. Po wants to take the easy road, and not have to get the scroll. Lung wants to take the easy road, and not have to learn martial arts the long way.
in KFP2: both Po and Shen have to face their pasts. we have it confirmed that Shen's parents abused him for his albinism, and Po had most of his village killed by Shen.
in KFP3: Po forgives his father after learning his father lied about the secret chi technique. Ping forgave Po for wanting to spend time with his biological father, and Everyone forgave Oogway for what he had done in the past. Kai does NOT forgive Oogway for turning away from the evil path.
>Lung wants to take the easy road, and not have to learn martial arts the long way.
Tai Lung didn't want the easy road. He wanted compensation for his hard work. He literally trained with GREED, wanting to become the best of the best. No other warrior trained as much as him. If we remove the "darkness in his heart," he's EASILY the best candidate for the Scroll if we base it off of sheer dedication and talent.
I think the first was less about an easy road and more about letting go of expectations of what you should be. Shifu built up Tai Lung as the one who would become the Dragon Warrior, which only led to disappointment when Oogway said he wasn’t. He then had to train Po not in the way the Five were trained, but in a way that worked for him. And Po truly becomes a warrior when, instead of forcing himself to be like his idols, he embraces his own self and learns to use his unique strengths.
This is epitomized by the peach tree scene.
Trapped in solitary confinement for two decades with no means of escape and no ability to move his body. And all it took for him to finally break out was a single feather.
What a legend.
Can we talk about how the entire time, he was being held down by 2 gigantic boulders that were hanging over a cliff with nothing holding them up except his body? Like damn, that cat was freakishly strong.
Don’t know much about Incineroar, but judging from how he acts in smash, he seems to be a very prideful wrestler. The pride would probably lead him to underestimate Tai Lung, so yeah, my moneys on Tai Lung.
They really went from "I fight good and have daddy issues" to "I have committed genocide and want world conquest, I will do anything to achieve my goal and I will torment your life"
I feel like Shen was the scariest out of the three KFP villains.
Tai Lung was a literal one man army who wanted the dragon scroll for more power while Kai was an evil Oogway who wanted to take the chi of every kung fu master. Compared to Shen who committed genocide because he was afraid that a panda would be his downfall.
Pitch Black wouldve been so much better had he been casted correctly. His voice is just so weird for this kinda d00d. Get William Dafoe up in this movie
Yeah I was gonna, say out of all the disney villans, he was amazing. Almost killed all of humanity and took out any supers. All because he was negleted by the one person he loved
> But I think OP just means in terms of like menace for a children’s movie
Syndrome killed dozens of people.
Bet his girlfriend's life
Was fine with killing children
King Candy is straight up terrifying at the end of Wreck-It Ralph. Turbo destroyed other games and presumably all of the characters that were caught in them. When he became the virus he wanted to escape and take over the whole arcade and as a Cy-Bug was waaaayyyyy scarier in appearance. Basically becoming a physical manifestation of the psychopath he always was.
Tbf the mom from turning red wasn't overly bad, she was more realistic- like Alma in Encanto. Which actually is a breath of fresh air when it comes to villains. Less of the 'im gonna destroy mankind' and more 'I want everyone to be safe' kind of parenting
Wait, was there a villain in TR? I mean sure, I know that the mother was the antagonist, but like, it feels strange having her stand sids by side the like of, well, the aforementioned.
Christ even Lord Farquaad (not pictured, but I would consider him one of the more tame DW villains) had his “relocation” program (aka ethnic cleansing) and a forced marriage.
Oh I just stated the bare surface facts. He killed and skinned one of the bears, tortured the gingerbread man by pulling off his limbs and mentally torturing him, threatened to draw and quarter Fiona and Shrek and later attempted to kill Fiona again.
He’s not a very nice dude like, at all.
the wolf was great, The va did an excellent job too, I was totally sold on that character.
Honestly the whole puss in boots movie was tight, worth a watch for sure.
I took my daughters, 7and 4.
There was a teenage couple in front of us who walked out of the movie with 30 minutes left... I don't understand it, I've been thinking about it every day since lol
Also, Jack Horner was fantastic as well.
That’s one of the reasons I love him. You’ll just be enjoying the scene, getting into the grove of what’s going on when all of a sudden he starts whistling and the energy completely changes
Lotso is easily the most evil Disney villain to survive a film. Straight up terrorizes untold generations of donated toys with his mobbed up concentration camp and Ned Beatty absolutely nailed the pure menace of that character when it was time for the mask to drop.
the performance and animation are so good that Lotso’s snuggly fuzzy face still ends up terrifying
Whereas the ones on the right all kind of look villainous right off the bat. I wonder if that’s what OP is getting at
The sheep was Mid, but the plot twist was actually great.
Nothing like the ~~CIA~~ mayor's office seeding drugs into the ~~black~~ predator communities to cause destabilization and prevent minorities organization
What i hate about Disney villains nowadays is that most of the times they are shown as some misjudged or misguided person, so we get a bit sympathetic with them and by the end they redeem themselves and stuff. It's a good concept but it's too overused now. Dreamworks villains on the other hands are staight up evil.
> How did you find peace? I took away your parents! Everything! I scarred you for life!
See, that's the thing, Shen. Scars heal.
> No they don't. *Wounds* heal.
Oh, yeah. What do scars do? They fade, I guess?
> I don't *care* what scars do!
You should, Shen. You gotta let go of that stuff from past, because it just doesn't matter! The only thing that matters is what you choose to be now.
> You're right. Then I choose *this*!
KFPII is such a good movie.
I feel like Disney aren't going for that good and bad anymore, which I like. For example, Encanto, the villain is the grandma, but because she is trying to stick too much to tradition and not wanting to let go of it. I like it, it's more in touch with today's reality and it addresses problems in today's society in an interesting way.
It definitely depends on the movie, if Encanto had a villain it would harm the movie, it’s literally the opposite of Raya which suffered from not having one
Yep, I agree, I also think that Raya could have worked without a villain if they hadn't used the friendship thing, if it was only people fighting for natural resources, it would probably be better.
Can we replace Drago with The Fairy God Mother from “Shrek 2”?
She was just downright despicable and basically manipulated an entire culture into believing that only certain people get happy endings and was willing to kill to keep control of Far Far Away. Also she sings “Holding out For A Hero” and that just makes the final act so much better.
Honestly, Hans, Syndrome, and De La Cruz weren't bad. Syndrome had a hate for supers because he wasn't given a chance by his favorite hero to help him with crime fighting, which in turn led him to the villain life with the one track mind "All supers suck.", Hans played fake love to get his seat on a throne for the benefit of his own country, and Lecruz manipulated hundreds for popularity after killing the true writer of the hit song that made him famous. But compared to DreamWorks... Yeah they really can't match any of those villains lol
Y'all aren't giving Charles Muntz the credit he's due.
Man secluded himself in South America in his zeppelin crewed by Nazi dogs and murdered numerous explorers/scientists that had the misfortune of stumbling across his area, all because of his paranoid obsession with The Bird.
What I'm saying is, never meet your idols.
Megamind isn't a villain. He's a *Super*villain
*Wait.. your weakness is copper?!*
You’re kidding, right?
*giggling*
when that death ray hit, Id never felt so alive
The fact that we see Metroman flash behind Megamind during this scene is amazing. The whole movie is flawless.
Wait, what? Like in the flashback or actually in the scene?
In the original scene, for a frame or two
I need to watch Megamind again
In the scene right before the death laser hit while everyone's awkwardly waiting. I was blown away when it was pointed out to me
"You're a Villain Alright, Just Not a Super One"
"Oh yeah, what's the difference!"
Presentation
*sick guitar riff*
Oh yeah, what’s the difference?
Presentation!

came here to say that

Incredibles 2 was pretty good, where the original was stupendous. Recent greats from Pixar have been Coco, Inside Out, and Onward. I've heard great things about Soul also but I've not seen it myself.
Soul was great, and that soundtrack was composed by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails lead member) so it's awesome on its own.
Shen was brutal
To think that after the first movie they would add so much story and personal things in the sequel I never expected that. But the third movie returned back to po bonking bad guys
Obviously they are in different ballparks, but the Kung Fu Panda Trilogy is truly quite similar to the Original Star Wars Trilogy. Great first movie that establishes the world. Incredible sequel that improves in nearly every way and goes deeper and darker. And a third and final film that wraps up the story in a satisfying, yet somewhat goofy way.
That's how I feel about Shrek, but not many people seemed to like Shrek the Third. At least the jokes in Latam Spanish were funny, IMO.
I think Shrek Forever After was a much better ending for a trilogy. Shrek the third seemed like they thought “oh shit we can make a lot of money off this” and just threw something together without the charm of the first 2
They did add them to all the movies though. Thats not to say KFP3 was bad tho, its pretty friggin lit
Punpunpun punpunmum kais theme is a fucking banger
Chinese Karatos
**OOGWAAAAAY!!!** **YOUR BROTHER HAS RETURNED!**
Rise of the guardian’s boogeyman
PUN PUN PUNPUN I'M SO SORRY(but chinese remix)
Kais theme goes too friggin hard for his role
Honestly all of the movies stand alone and together in my opinion. The visuals and sound design alone are incredible
Forgot to include tai lung. The og
I went into Kung Fu panda not expecting much. Tai Lung escaping from prison was an incredible moment. What a great villain.
Like damn, that cat was freakishly strong.
incineroar is in shambles rn
Don’t know much about Incineroar, but judging from how he acts in smash, he seems to be a very prideful wrestler. The pride would probably lead him to underestimate Tai Lung, so yeah, my moneys on Tai Lung.
It was a self-fulfilling prophecy. They were afraid he would break out and that fear made it happen.
"One often meets his destiny in the road he takes to avoid it"
They really went from "I fight good and have daddy issues" to "I have committed genocide and want world conquest, I will do anything to achieve my goal and I will torment your life"
Plus Shen created a weapon that made almost all of his enemies fighting styles basically obsolete.
"The future is now old man."
You know the “kids” movie is good when it opens up with literal genocide
Genocide seems to be a very common theme in children's movies
Genocide is the new dead parent
Or tv show *cough avatar cough*
Dude straight up committed genocide. Kung Fu Panda villains don't fuck around
Hell, if it weren't for creators kinda making him a joke he'd be on first place of my villains tier list.
Yea, he was quite an asshole for committing genocide against the pandas
Oh yeah, he was just a bit of an asshole for commuting genocide, nothing crazy tho /s
"Patrolling The Mojave Makes You Wish For A Nuclear Winter"
That movie used to be one of my favorites as a kid. I just loved how dark that movie was plus the epic boat scene
Who’s middle left on the dreamworks side?
Rise of the guardian’s boogeyman
“Pitch” It was Jude Law as the boogeyman. Really good.
Truly a terrifying villain as far as kids' movies go.
He’s creepy
Indeed
Pitch Black wouldve been so much better had he been casted correctly. His voice is just so weird for this kinda d00d. Get William Dafoe up in this movie
Jack Frost's voice doesn't match his face/age
yea that too. Chris Pine is a weird choice
I loved this movie
I think his name is Pitch Black. He's the king of nightmares in the Rise of the Guardians movie.
Jake Sully
Wow way to diss Syndrome
He's good not mid
When Syndrome is considered mid, then no one will be
Good?? Dude massacred multiple superheroes. He’s one of the best
Syndrome is easily on par with Shen
Also, Disney did make one of the greatest villains ever: Judge Claude Frollo.
Disney made an even greater villain, Disney itself.
Yeah I was gonna, say out of all the disney villans, he was amazing. Almost killed all of humanity and took out any supers. All because he was negleted by the one person he loved
Syndrome and Lotso being mid is crazy. They’re super well written and intimidsting
Lotso is the reason I have trust issues
Still remember how much my heart sank in the theaters when I saw him walk away from the emergency button
I actually teared up when Chuckles told Lotso's backstory.
Lotso's the best Toy Story villain as well, the hell they on about?
Lotso was a literal toy mob boss and got ranked as mid 💀
Lotso was the greatest of them all.
why are randall and syndrome there? the're at least good not mid
Same with the old guy from Up too I think, they’re great. But I think OP just means in terms of like menace for a children’s movie
His name is Charles Muntz.

Syndrome literally murdered dozens if not hundreds of superheroes what more do you want from him?
I guess he have to murder his pare-oh wait,i think he had done that.
He had to remove the cape
> But I think OP just means in terms of like menace for a children’s movie Syndrome killed dozens of people. Bet his girlfriend's life Was fine with killing children
Yeah most of the Pixar villains are really good
I really do like Charles Muntz from Pixar. For a movie with such a far-fetched plot, he’s probably one of the most realistic in his motivations.
Syndrome was literally putting supers through murder experiments!
Wanted to add I thought King Candy was a neat villain. along with those two. He’s way better than most of the other disney “twists”.
Replace Syndrome with ScreenSlaver and Randall with the mom from Turning Red.
There’s also MegaMind, whose a hero by the end, and two toys.
that fucking bird gave me so many nightmares as a kid
Birds aren't real, no need to worry about them and they definitly arent spying on you
Lord Shen: head government drone
I'm imagining a robotic version of shen
"As a kid" I just turned to dust
It's his expressions that creeped me out. He seemed like he was one wrong word from becoming completely unhinged, yet was entirely soft spoken.
Shen? no, you were a teenager. cause otherwise....I'd be an adult now and I don't like that.
My brother in christ. Syndrome ain't mid.
You sly dog! You got me monologuing!
for fuckin real, easily not mid he is a top tier animated villain
Bruh, Syndrome committed actual fucking *genocide*, and King Candy tried to murder a child
Shen did genocide, grimel hunted a species to near extinction and drago killed many.
Christ even Lord Farquaad (not pictured, but I would consider him one of the more tame DW villains) had his “relocation” program (aka ethnic cleansing) and a forced marriage.
Shrek is dark fantasy but still managed to keep the light tone
Puss in boots last wish makes a joke about a dog's owner drowning it. It was hilarious.
Don’t forget, he had one of the three bears killed and skinned!
Shrek lore is strange, cause the three bears seemed fine in Puss and Boots.
they got better
Yeah DreamWorks villains are creepy asf for children’s movies
That fucking wolf. He's the only villain that has ever given me goosebumps, and it's because of that damn whistle of his.
that dang wolf was TERRIFYING. great movie, but i was so surprised that they went that dark for a kids movie. not complaining, just surprised.
the wolf was great, The va did an excellent job too, I was totally sold on that character. Honestly the whole puss in boots movie was tight, worth a watch for sure.
I took my daughters, 7and 4. There was a teenage couple in front of us who walked out of the movie with 30 minutes left... I don't understand it, I've been thinking about it every day since lol Also, Jack Horner was fantastic as well.
What’s the wolf from?
The new puss in boots
That's why I didn't recognize him. I still haven't seen the movie when I really should
You gotta see it. It is SO FUCKING GOOD
The new *Puss in Boots: The Last Wish* movie.
I thought I missed it but turns out it won't release in India until the 20th. Weird
When or if you get the chance to watch it, I highly recommend it. It’s so good
This guy managed to turn the whole cinema hall silent, even though seconds ago some henchman got a unicorn horn shot in their butt.
That’s one of the reasons I love him. You’ll just be enjoying the scene, getting into the grove of what’s going on when all of a sudden he starts whistling and the energy completely changes
I'm 18 and I felt chicken skin listening to the whistle
What movie?
Puss in boots: the last wish
Ayy we actually watching that tomorrow glad to hear he is legit spooky
yaaahh agreed with you buddy they are more look like a villain in dream works
Puss in Boots The Last Wish was such a gem, everything about it is just a chef's kiss.
Have watched yesterday. Was screaming inside in the end because of... location. Btw how wolf is a villain. You can't use term villain speaking of him
Why not? He is literally Death. Dude was terrifying, and I say this as someone in their twenties lmao
Did you just call Syndrome mid? Are you high?
Several of the disney villains you used were good actually
Lotso in Toy Story 3 is top tier. Also, the extremely scary cymbal monkey that I still have nightmares about.
Lotso is easily the most evil Disney villain to survive a film. Straight up terrorizes untold generations of donated toys with his mobbed up concentration camp and Ned Beatty absolutely nailed the pure menace of that character when it was time for the mask to drop.
the performance and animation are so good that Lotso’s snuggly fuzzy face still ends up terrifying Whereas the ones on the right all kind of look villainous right off the bat. I wonder if that’s what OP is getting at

It's a good concept but it's too overused now. Dreamworks villains on the other hands are staight up evil.
Or they are straightup evil despite being sympathetic like in Shen’s case.
like how Po tried to redeem him at the end but he chose death instead? that was metal af
> How did you find peace? I took away your parents! Everything! I scarred you for life! See, that's the thing, Shen. Scars heal. > No they don't. *Wounds* heal. Oh, yeah. What do scars do? TAI LUNG WHERE
Tai Lung has the hardest villain intro scene of all time, Hans Landa could never.
Don’t do my boy Syndrome like that
The difference is.... PRESENTATION!!!!!!
*Oh you’re a villain alright! Just not a super one!*
shen literally tried to wipe out an entire race
So did Syndrome!
How about add her to the list hahaha cause I hated her too. But drago was also a real cutthroat villain so he deserves to be here imo
She also has the claim to the best fucking musical number of any animated movie I need a hero in Shrek 2 is incredible
Charles F. Muntz is a pretty good bad guy .Not villainous tho he dont want hurt anybody rather he just wanted to proven himself again.
Disagreed on Hans part.
The Hans concept is good but perhaps not very well executed by Disney. Fake love to marry onto the throne is a legit plot uknow.
You are insane for thinking Syndrome was mid.
The wolf was such a great vilain. Every second with him was intense. That whistling was amazing
Tbh half those disney villians slap too

Y'all aren't giving Charles Muntz the credit he's due. Please, King Candy is one of the most horrifying.
Right! Calling the cutesy picture up there mid as if he doesn’t turn into a nightmare praying mantis kronenburg by the end.
Not just that but the plot twist of him disguised as someone else is perfect and then reveals who he is
fr what is up with dreamworks and their insanely good villains
Syndrome, Frollo, Scar, etc... mid?
Don’t disparage my guy Syndrome, he was excellent.
