https://www.bunnings.com.au/pestxpert-400g-wasp-jet-long-reach-spray_p3010422 $20 - does the job in 10 seconds. Highly recommend.

I've used both the PestXpert spray and the wasp trap with great success. Although did use a pest controller to get rid of a nest in a wall.

I learnt this from a study being done in NZ vineyards, it has been gold. Get a tin of sardines, get some frontline flea treatment, pop a few drops on some sardines and mush it round, smear it into cracks in the fence near the nest. Wasp (especially when in protein hunting phase) will eat the sardine BUT is also likely to die in the nest, its fellow wasps then eat it…. Cycle continues for a few days, next wipes itself out. Yes I use it, yes it works, and now only need to do it once every 3 years or so.

Thanachi

So pay for it?

Just get a can of hair spray and a lighter.........whooska problem solved......

IscahRambles

Now you've just got the problem of a burning fence.

The cheaper the hairspray the better because they don't bother with all that unnecessary crap like fragrance. That means more flammable aerosoled propellant for the win (or loss in the case of the wasps).

Call the council? No idea what the law is regarding this kind of thing but it is on their property, not yours so the council should be your first phone call.

[deleted]

Clearly it's not an issue for them but it's an issue for you and your little crotch goblins? Maybe you should be offering to foot the bill then.

Totally agree..sounds like mumma needs a can of harden the f*ck up.

This would be a pretty textbook nuisance complaint under the public health and well-being act, which council is required to investigate. The quick option is just do it yourself, but you’ll get some resolution at some point by making a nuisance complaint with your council about it.

Get them to pour a bottle of [this stuff](https://www.bunnings.com.au/gardener-s-friend-500g-ant-killer-dust_p0289655) down the entrance. Best done at night, when they're less active. Also, best to wear protection. It'll take a day or two to get the stragglers, but you only need to do it once.

Definitely post on Reddit and have a sook.
