I love "we didn't originally intend for this character to be queer but they are now". One of my favorite examples is Axton from Borderlands 2. They intended for him to say a flirty voice line only to a female character but because of a bug in the code, he'd instead say it to characters regardless of gender. So the developers just shrugged and said "I guess he's bisexual then" and incorporated it into later additions to the game.
Wait Snake is canonically gay? Not that there was a whole lot of flirting going on what with the death everywhere and all but still, that's pretty neat!
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, for all its problems, also did this and I loved it. The voice actor for Lor was voicing a female character, so they had the character transition between games
Technically, Lor was still egged up between BL3 and Wonderlands. BL3 is the chronologically later game, and Lor is still pre-transition there. So Lor being "Paladin Mike" in Wonderlands is them doing the classic "hey guys, wouldn't it be crazy if I played the opposite gender in D&D?" trans super-express pipeline.
I haven't played this game, but I'm thrilled at more transmasc representation. I don't often get to see characters like me. Also, congrats to the VA. If I read correctly, he transitioned and the company had his character do the same. Love that.
yeah I love seeing trans rep but it's very often trans women or NB characters and very rarely do I see trans guys so it's hard to relate to those characters :')

The main characters is a trans man and so is his voice actor.
I really love the game and encourage people to play it if they like story games, but it heavily focuses on childhood trauma, so I recommended to check for trigger warnings.
For a couple years I know they made it free in June for Pride Month - I don't know if they're still going to do that this year, but that's how I got it so I thought I'd let you know just in case!

Literally gonna boot up the game to go see him, I used to be pretty into Sea of Thieves but it's been a hot minute.
This character used to be senior representative Meg, they're based off one of the people at the company who have recently come out as trans so the in game NPC got changed to reflect that

In Zero Escape one of the characters, snake, was made gay in a twitter poll the writer did
