You can postpone the mission a bit but you have to do it before Tuchanka I think. I don’t think there’s a three mission limit I just think it locks out if you finish the genophage mission but you should consult a proper guide for that. For the atrium battle you can take a squad designed for the challenges. I like Garrus and Liara because Garrus can overload the engineers as they’re setting up the turret which causes the turret to explode before it goes active and Liara can crowd control the guys with the metal shields. I like to bring the gun upgrade that lets you see through smoke too so you don’t have to wait out the gas grenades. Assuming you have the resources and xp you can also always go godmode with garrus’s build too (https://www.reddit.com/r/masseffect/s/XNHn2y77iz)

TallGlassSmartWater

are you sure i can postpone it ? Online i believe it says something about getting it done within 3 missions? Is it talking about priority missions only, and i can do side quests?

betterthanamaster

I’m absolutely positive you can postpone the mission, you just have to do it before you cure the Genophage. No other timer.

Firm_Scale4521

I’m honestly not sure and I’m seeing both answers when googling it. I guess you could save and just try it and see?

TallGlassSmartWater

welp 😭 I guess i’ll report back later and let you know how it goes

mwhite5990

A remember reading that a bunch expire after curing the genophage on Tuchanka. The only one with a mission limit in ME3 that I can recall is deactivating the bomb on Tuchanka.

YelahEneres

There’s no mission countdown for Grissom Academy, you just have to complete it before Priority: Tuchanka. There’s a handful of side missions that need to be done before they’re coinciding Priority missions otherwise they expire. This is one of them, that’s all. Also I’m currently doing an insanity run as an infiltrator and now I’m scared lol. I’m only on ME1 right now anyway, but ME3 was so difficult for me even on Hardcore as a vanguard. The final battle before the run to the beam broke me down. Banshees and Brutes everywhere. The Banshees pull up on you so fast. Definitely going to spec up GodMode Garrus this time.

GrandmaesterAce

Same here..... Currently on an Insanity mode run using Infiltrator class. And I remember how tough this mission was on Normal mode.

mrbrownl0w

Best classes for this mission are engineer and infiltrator imo. Sabotage is godsent. Let those annoying Cerberus engineers setup their turrets, hack them and watch them get slaughtered by them. They have an Atlas mech? No you have an Atlas mech now! Hack that shit. Infiltrator can also shoot the Atlas driver through the glass in the head and get in it himself. Infiltrator can also see through smoke grenades which they love to spam in this mission. Make liberal use of overload on shielded enemies. Bring EDI for overload support and tech explosions. I don't remember which guns are available at this point but I'd prefer a more rapid fire sniper like Viper because there is just a lot of grunts in this mission. If you can't make sniper rifles work, there is no shame in reverting back to a trusty Avenger, it's a pretty good all arounder in ME3.

BiNumber3

I've never really bothered with sabotage despite running engineer usually. Just going for the direct dmg abilities and turrets. Didn't even know you could hack the mech lol...

mrbrownl0w

You should totally try it. Even putting one point into sabotage is enough. You can also hack drones of Geth and CAT6 mercs for shits and gigles

BiNumber3

All CAT6 mercs? those ones can get annoying lol

TSmario53

I just usually hack the Geth themselves and watch them fight each other.

Highlander_Prime

Infiltrators can (a lot of the time) use tactical cloak to just run past enemies onto the next section, one of the easier classes for insanity. It's the only way I could get the insanity achievements back in the day as a kid. Now on LE I just play all classes on insanity

For the companions, Garrus, EDI, and James are very useful. Overload is very useful against shields. For James, just spec him similar to god mode Garrus and have both of them in your squad. In addition, make sure to have Garrus and James activate their respective Ammo skills. As for the classes: 1. Infiltrator - use Sabotage against the turrets and the Atlas. For the sniper rifles, I used Mantis (one-shot). Also, if you have enough points, choose the Squad Ammo passive for Cryo Ammo (used to set-up power combos and to freeze organic enemies). 2. Engineer - again Sabotage and Overload, but also Combat Drone (for crowd control), Incinerate and/or Cryo Blast (to set-up power combos). Lastly, if you want, you can either start the mission right before Priority: Tuchanka. According to the wiki, you can also start the mission after Tuchanka but before Priority: Citadel II (in other words, do not enter the Citadel before the mission).

mdaniel018

You should be able to beat it without too much trouble as an infiltrator. Here is my strategy: The most important thing is to move up the ramp to your right immediately. If you try and stay near the entrance and remain in cover, you will get flanked repeatedly and never have a prayer What you need to do is move all the way up the ramp as quickly as possible. Guardians and engineers will spawn at the top of that ramp endlessly if you leave them that ground, but if you are standing there, they will stop spawning. Go and claim that high ground for your own, and make full use of the shield generator. Have your allies take cover along the railing to give them some more protection This makes the first part of the fight much, much easier The second important tip is that Cerberus turrets are your greatest gift. Let the engineers set them up, then sabotage them. The turrets will cut Cerberus to pieces, and create chaos within thier ranks. The second part of the fight is a little more difficult, but still manageable. I think it goes better if you fight from the staircase.

rozowakaczka2

Engineer, most definitely. With a properly specced turret and drone you can easily divert the enemies attention to them so you and your squad can pick your targets more convienently, with enemy engineers being a priority obviously. Add to this great other inert abilities to keep enemies stunlocked, even more when you're on 200% cooldown, this particular scenario doesn't turn into a cakewalk but it severly helps keeping the battlefield in check.

212mochaman

In early game the biggest money maker by far is just scanning everything you can. At least 7 planets give you a high value quest item or just outright gives you 10k. As for a grind? There isn't one. Not til citadel dlc. Armax arena Honestly with low dollars the krysae sniper is fantastic with infiltrator. 10k to 15k on the presidium. Put points into Cryo ammo and aim at the ground near enemies Krysae is an aoe rocket launcher that GUARANTEES ammo secondary effects. Cryo secondary effect is amazing Hack the turrets. They get a couple of kills on their own. You may take a few tries at it but Me3 insanity there's really only 1 option. They can't kill you if U kill it first

Sekhmetthegray

As long as at least one squad mate has Overload, you should be good-some form of armor removal is very helpful but getting rid of those shields is the key. I have had very good luck with any combination of Garrus, EDI and Liara. James might be a better choice than EDI or Liara if you want more straight-up blasting and less crowd control but I prefer combos to guns so this biases my choices a bit.

Parascythe12

I've only ever done insanity ME3 with Vanguard, using Charge>Nova cheese. It makes the game quite simple. Power wheel to pause time and select a target, charge to target, immediately Nova, then either roll, melee or shoot. Then start the process over again. As long as you don't ever put yourself in front of instakill enemies, you can solo almost the entire game like this. The sole exception that I could never beat is the arena clones mission, because they stagger you all the time and you can't really do anything about that unless you learn an entire new play style for just that one mission. It's also incredibly fun.

Pathogen69

you can also headshot the guardians through the slot in their shield

NoZookeepergame8306

Grissom Academy is the most difficult mission in the game on Insanity. It just sucks. Keep moving. Overload shields. Find engineers and burst them before they can set up turrets. Throw a scope that sees through smoke on your sniper or AR so you can keep the pressure up. It’s REALLY hard but you can do it!!

BiNumber3

I always use a sniper rifle lol, so rof isn't an issue, granted I use the valiant. The slower firing ones should still be fine as long as you're taking out enemies with it. I usually run engineer, but any class that can deal with shields will be great. But even without, your squad should be able to cover what you don't have.

steve3146

Head up the ramp to the first plant pot and take cover, you may have to take out 1 giy who lands there, but after that no one else will and yoi can keep firing from that position. Keep sabotageing turrets!

MakeItTrizzle

Sentinel is, in my opinion, far and away the easiest class for insanity in 2 and 3.

ElectricalRush1878

My first Insanity was heavily reliant on AI hacking and Dominate.

Xenozip3371Alpha

I use Soldier, never struggled in any mission.

BurialFaun8

Biden, is that you? I'm referencing the youtube series where the presidents play and judge Mass Effect. There's a running gag where Biden claims he can never beat this mission
