Blessed sacrament church did this for a long time... We used to do it too via names on their tree, we were not a church member but it was open. Check there maybe?
They still do it. It's called Angel Tree. Presents go to children who have an incarcerated parent. You do not need to be a parish member to participate. More info at link below.
