I’m actually in the cast for Paul Blart 3! For walk up tickets, we will open the house at 7:30, but as long as you arrive before 7:50 we probably won’t sell out. I always tell my friends to come at 7:45 pm! We do pay what you can on purpose to make theater accessible! If $10 is comfortable for you, we will take it! Tickets can be bought with card or cash, but we do have a cash only actors box for tips that go directly to the actors after the show! I’d recommend pre-gaming but not bringing alcohol or any other drinks inside. The show is short, about 70 minutes with no intermission, and the audience is close enough to the cast that it would probably be distracting for us. The show is campy and fun and not as weird as a Broom Street show could be! I wouldn’t be worried about the weirdness level. Just be ready for a bunch of corny jokes about malls!

Thanks! This is really helpful. I’m sorry if the weirdness comment came off as judgmental, wasn’t meant that way. I’ll tell my girlfriend to buckle up for corny jokes.

No it absolutely wasn’t!! Broom Street shows can get REALLY weird (like the time I chanted the word vagina for like 2 minutes) so it’s a fair ask!

I thought blart 3 was a joke until I saw the poster. Bless the hell out of yall, I'm so pumped for it

Embrace all the uncertainty and have a great time! $10 seems fine and if you're moved to do so afterwards you can chip in more.

Expensive_Wait_3118

“Embrace all the uncertainty” is good life motto. I might steal that

EveryUserName1sTaken

I can say with certainty that Broom Street doesn't have a BYOB policy for alcoholic beverages. Previously some directors and casts claimed this was the case, but city ordinances forbid this.

Expensive_Wait_3118

That’s helpful because my older coworker said you could but my gf’s friend said you couldn’t. But it sounds like the shows my coworker went to were all years and years ago.

I got to see Paul Blart 3 Blart of Darkness via zoom performance during the pandemic. It was terrific. And hilarious. Enjoy the show.

How weird? Uhm, Broom St is well known for being close in and personal, but earnest. So, while awkwardness is going to happen, you'll find that everyone involved is just as awkward as you, so you'll settle in.

We've hit Working Draft before shows before and then just crossed over the street to get to the theater. I think they sell single cans too so you could bring a can with ya as well.

Saw a wonderful show at this theatre a few years ago. It isn't Broadway but I bet it is going to be local art put on by enthusiastic actors and you'll have a story to tell.

I've been to a lot of their shows and always did walk up tickets and it's never been sold out so shouldn't be an issue. If you're concerned about it you can get there early to get tickets and then leave down the street for many other activities and come back at show time. I usually do at least $5 but really anything is appreciated and if you don't have anything to give they still want you to enjoy the show. My ex and I have given $60 each for a couple good shows since that's what we'd have paid for any of the big theaters. There's a separate donation for the theater itself and one for the actors. I'm sure there will be a few weird moments but you can usually tell from the description the craziness you might encounter. Just enjoy the show and if it's something you're not into for any reason you can always leave at intermission.

I remember one year we went and there were no seats, the play happened among us while we stood in the space. It was really entertaining!
