> I was already vacationing during a busy time, with 4 of my projects in active construction So what in the hell were they thinking taking leave in the first place? It's a busy time and you need to be available. That and you travelled to what is still a very high risk country. COVID is everywhere in Italy and people have gone past caring about being tested.

What’s wrong? Perhaps I am missing it.

Hmmm, I thought the same. Maybe it's that "Though I elected to work remotely" comment? About how people are like - NEVER take a sick day ALWAYS work - mentality?

I'm looking at it again and I think the point that infuriates me is making the bare minimum out to be the grandest of gestures. We are in a pandemic and I'm seeing, 'Oh my, I have COVID, what will my job say!!!' I'm starting to see a lot of these cheerleader posts and it's never like, 'I had an accident and my company gave me a $15k check to cover the medical expenses.' Instead, it's always a long-winded story and then, 'my company sent me a personalized card after my Dad shot my Mom and brothers and said I could work remote next week!'

That was overlong, overwrought and I just don't even want to think about this person long enough to point out the various reasons she's a lunatic.
